Three of the Beatles' members sons are teaming up for the first time to release a new song together
Here comes the sons.
Three of the Beatles' children have united on a new song.
Ringo Starr's son, Zak Starkey, confirmed that John Lennon's son, Sean Ono Lennon, and Paul McCartney's son, James McCartney, provided vocals on his supergroup Mantra of the Cosmos' upcoming single 'Rip Off.'

Starkey, 59, shared a clip of the rock song via Instagram on Sunday. Shaun Ryder of Happy Mondays also provided vocals on the track.
George Harrison is the only Beatles member who doesn't have any children working on the song. The late star had one son, Dhani Harrison, who is also a musician.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Starkey denied that his collaboration with Sean, 49, and James, 47, was like a mini-Beatles reunion.
'It's like Mantra of the Cosmos with them in it,' Starkey stated. 'It's Sean of the Cosmos and James of the Cosmos, it's still my band.'

When the interviewer mentioned Starkey just needs Dhani, 46, for the whole gang to be together, Starkey responded, 'No I don't. Why do I?'
The last time the Beatles' offspring worked together was when James and Sean came out with the song 'Primrose Hill' in 2024.

'Primrose Hill' is here! Today I am so very excited to share my latest song co-written by my good friend @sean_ono_lennon,' James wrote on Instagram at the time, alongside a selfie of the pair. 'With the release of this song it feels like we're really getting the ball rolling and I am so excited to continue to share music with you.'
Back in 2012, James spoke to the BBC about the possibility of forming a music group with Starkey, Sean and Dhani.

'I don't think it's something that Zak wants to do,' James said. 'Maybe [Ringo Starr's son] Jason [Starkey] would want to do it. I'd be up for it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it.'
James then said that the supergroup had been 'mooted' but was still hopeful it could happen.

'Yeah, hopefully, naturally. I don't know, you'd have to wait and see,' he teased. 'The will of God, nature's support, I guess. So yeah, maybe.'
Starkey has recently made headlines for being fired twice from the band The Who.
The drummer told The Telegraph that he was kicked out of the group after an alleged altercation with lead singer Roger Daltrey. He also alleged that he turned down the offer to tour with Oasis for The Who.

But Starkey hinted in the interview that he might return to The Who.
'I spoke to Roger last week and he said, 'Don't take your drums out of [The Who's] warehouse yet in case we need you,'' Starkey said. 'I said, 'Best let me know.''

NFL legend calls LeBron James 'the greatest ever'
LeBron James treated sports fans to a special event in New York City on Saturday. At Fanatics Fest, which was held at the Javitz Center, he hosted live versions of "The Shop" and the "Mind the Game" podcast. For "The Shop," he was joined on stage by legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady. Brady retired following the 2022 season, and he is considered by most to be the greatest player, or at least the greatest QB, in the history of football. Brady appeared to glaze James a bit when he referred to the Los Angeles Lakers superstar as "the greatest ever." 'You're witnessing the greatest ever and I hope you all appreciate that,' Brady said. The debate about where exactly James belongs on the list of the greatest players in NBA history rages on, but his accomplishments speak for themselves. He became the league's all-time leading career scorer two years ago and is now at 42,184 regular-season points and 50,473 points in the regular season and playoffs combined. He has won four NBA championships (although he has lost six times in the NBA Finals), has won four league MVP awards and is one of a handful of players who have at least one scoring title and one assists title. James has a player option for next season. The 40-year-old is expected to play at least one more season in the league, and what he does beyond that is anyone's best guess at this point.

LeBron James jokes that Victor Wembanyama will hasten his retirement
On Saturday, a special episode of LeBron James' show "The Shop" was recorded at Fanatics Fest in New York City. Joining James before a live crowd was 21-year-old San Antonio Spurs superstar center Victor Wembanyama. At one point, James cracked a joke about Wembanyama's incredible shot-blocking abilities and the French native's 7-foot-3 frame. He said that Wembanyama swatting his shots will make him call it quits. 'I can't play that much further… As long as Wemby keeps smacking my [expletive] shots into the stands, it's gonna make me retire.' Wembanyama entered the NBA as the No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft, and he was the most hyped rookie to come into the league since James was a rookie during the 2003-04 season. He quickly lived up to the hype, and this season, he averaged 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds and a league-high 3.8 blocks a game before a blood clot cut his year short after 46 games. The Spurs haven't made the playoffs since 2019, but with Wembanyama, star guard De'Aaron Fox and Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle, as well as the possibility of at least one big move this summer, they could very well become a powerhouse very soon. At the very least, Wembanyama is already a nightmare to play against because of his shot-blocking, and his offensive game is still fairly rudimentary at this point in his career.
