OPP report slew of impaired driving incidents in Peel region

Provincial police reported this weekend that their Caledon detachment officers responded to several impaired driving incidents in the Caledon area over the last six days.
Driver caught in RIDE program
According to Caledon OPP, officers investigated a driver that travelled through a RIDE program last Monday morning at around 3 a.m. on Healy Road near Innis Lake Road.
Police say officers arrested the driver after suspecting that they were under the influence of alcohol.
The 27-year-old Brampton driver was charged with impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 80 milligrams per 100 millilitres (80 plus), driving with cannabis readily available, and driving while under suspension.
Alleged erratic driver
On Friday evening just after 10 p.m., Caledon OPP reports that their officers responded to a complaint about a vehicle that was displaying poor driving behaviour.
Police say officers located the vehicle on Highway 10 near Charleston Sideroad and deemed that the driver was impaired by alcohol after investigating them.
The 23-year-old Brampton driver was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and driving while impaired – 80 plus.
Single-vehicle collision
Hours after the previous incident, Caledon OPP says they received a report of a single-collision on The Gore Road near Mayfield Road.
Officers arrived on scene at around 11:45 p.m., and police say they suspected that the driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
The driver, another 23-year-old from Brampton, was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol, driving while impaired – 80 plus, driving while under suspension, and possessing more than one licence.
All three accused drivers were scheduled for June court dates in Orangeville. Their licences were suspended for 90 days and their vehicles were suspended for seven days.
