ITV makes major announcement and it involves Jeremy Clarkson and Ben Shephard
A brand new channel has taken over from ITVBe.
ITV has revealed a major announcement that'll mean a huge change for the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and Ben Shephard.
Just weeks after it was confirmed that ITVBe would be shutting down and shows like The Only Way is Essex and The Real Housewives of Cheshire would move over to ITV2, a new channel will be launching in its place.
The broadcaster has now revealed ITV Quiz, a dedicated channel bringing brain-teasing entertainment to viewers, will be available from 9am to 1am every single day.
In recent years, ITV has brought back several new gameshow formats with celebrities at the helm, including David Tennant's Genius Game, Stephen Mangan's twist on The Traitors titled The Fortune Hotel, Lee Mack's The 1% Club, and Adam and Ryan Thomas' 99 To Beat.
The broadcaster has also brought old favourites back to life, including the You Bet! Revival and Deal or No Deal with Stephen Mangan.
ITV Quiz's launch month this June will also show off award-winning formats like Lingo, Tipping Point, Wheel of Fortune, Tenable and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Announcing the news, a press release shared: 'For nearly 70 years, quiz shows have consistently been a part of ITV's DNA.
'One day after the channel launched in September 1955, Take Your Pick made history as the first British TV quiz to offer a cash prize.
'Within three years, ITV had turned quiz shows into a national obsession - airing them six nights a week.'
43 million viewers have watched a quiz show on ITV channels in the last year alone - which is 69% of the population. Meanwhile on ITVX, quiz shows have amassed a 185 million streams.
The release continued: 'ITV Quiz promises the very best in game show entertainment from the iconic classics to recent hits and with an array of star-studded quizmasters at helm including Graham Norton, Stephen Mulhern, Warwick Davies, Mel Giedroyc, Jeremy Clarkson and more.

'Whether it's trivia games, picture games, parlour games, general knowledge or simply luck and chance, ITV Quiz has something for everyone from the devoted trivia buff to the casual quizzer.'
The ITV shake-up was announced earlier this year, with several ITVBe shows moving to the schedule that already homes Love Island and Big Brother.

With The Only Way Is Essex turning 15 this year, ITV described the change to ITV2 as a 'homecoming' on a 'supercharged' channel, as it originally aired there for the first 12 series.
It now joins comedies like Family Guy, original commissions G'Wed and favourites like Olivia Attwood's Price of Perfection.
ITV Quiz is now available to watch through Freeview 28, Freely 22, YouView 28, Freesat 119, Sky Q 131, Sky Glass 125, Virgin 119 and streaming on ITVX.

Coronation Street's Summer Spellman actress Harriet Bibby has revealed all about the ITV soap's LSD storyline, while she teased to The Mirror 'big' scenes are on the way One Coronation Street star has promised "big" scenes ahead on the ITV soap in the coming months. Summer Spellman actress Harriet Bibby spoke exclusively to The Mirror about the upcoming storylines for her character. She also teased the 65th anniversary plans for later this year, and the big Emmerdale crossover airing in 2026. After months of not being onscreen much, Harriet explained to us that she was having a quieter year following the huge and emotional 2024 storyline, that saw Summer's father figure Paul Foreman die after battling motor neurone disease. Summer featured heavily in this storyline, with lots of difficult scenes for actress Harriet. Often in soaps when a character features in a massive storyline, they tend to then go quiet which is what has happened with Summer. But that's all about to change as next week, she takes centre stage once more. This time, Summer and other characters are caught up in a drugs storyline, as three characters take LSD at a house party. What follows is a dramatic and devastating sequence of events. Teasing more from Summer ahead, Harriet told us: "I've had a quieter year this year after the big storyline with Paul last year. It was brilliant, we loved doing it even though every day we were in tears. "We will be seeing more of Summer in the coming months." Harriet also teased the big stuff on the way, saying: "I'm really excited about the crossover. It's never been done before. It will be fun and a little different. "I am hoping to be a part of it but we have no idea. I'd love to meet the Dingles." When asked about the 65th, she said: "I'm the worst person to ask, everything you're asking me I'm asking the bosses! It will be something big though." As for the huge drugs storyline that is coming up, Harriet teased what the fallout will be with it clear something has happened, and that Summer and pal Nina Lucas have been witnesses to something while high. Revealing "the night takes a turn", she teased: "Even with no drugs in their system they'd be feeling really shocked, upset and concerned about what's just happened. "So times that by 10 with the LSD they've got in their system and they're distraught. They're really worried and really scared about what's just happened." Harriet went on: "They figure out that they've witnessed something. "They have different opinions on what to do with this and it causes a little bit of friction between them. Nina thinks they should tell someone and report it whereas Summer is more convinced that they don't know what they've seen because they were affected by the LSD so there's no point in reporting anything as they don't know for sure that something happened. "They're very confused by what they think they saw because they're unsure about what was reality and what was not." On the future impact of the huge plot, she shared: "I think when you find yourselves in quite dangerous situations, and it's not just Summer and Nina who are affected, you look back and think that was a really stupid idea. It affects a lot of different people in different ways and it could have been avoided if these drugs were not at the party."

Daniel Brocklebank's two-word comment on Coronation Street exit after 11 years
EXCLUSIVE: Daniel Brocklebank has opened up about his upcoming exit from Coronation Street after 11 years, as well as hinting at 'cloak and dagger' ITV soap crossover with Emmerdale Daniel Brocklebank has opened up about his upcoming exit from Coronation Street. The legendary actor, who is set to continue in his role for the foreseeable future, will depart from the ITV soap after 11 years next year. But while the actor who plays vicar Billy Mayhew admits that he was "sad" to be leaving the soap opera, he teased a "major new storyline" which is yet to be revealed. Daniel, 45, joined the soap in 2014 and has since taken on a series of big storylines, most famously, his partner, Paul, battling Motor Neurones Disease, a cause which has a personal link to Daniel. Speaking about his exit from the soap, Daniel exclusively told the Mirror: "11 years is a long time, but I've been acting professionally for 31/32 years now. As a freelancer, as a jobbing actor – jobs end, that's what happens, contracts finish. The difference is that with a job like Corrie is that, potentially, you're there for longer than the term of your contract. "I would have been there 11 years by the time I go. It's never not in the back of your mind that the contract you're on could be your last." One thing that Daniel is excited for is the Emmerdale and Coronation Street crossover, which will see the soaps join forces for a special hour-long episode in January next year. Although details remain unknown, sources have hinted that the cast is currently in the process of discovering who is involved in the upcoming episode. "We're all very excited for it," Daniel gushed. He went on to add: "It's never been done before, none of us know anything about it at the moment. "It's all being kept very cloak and dagger, but it is very exciting that these two universes are colliding." One storyline that remains close to Daniel's heart is Paul's MND journey, and Daniel's own connection with the condition affected him years before he took on the storyline. "My connection to the MND Association goes back 23 years," Daniel revealed. He went on to add: "My grandfather had motor neurone disease, so that is how I'm connected to the MND society. The fact that we ended up doing an MND storyline on Coronation Street was a complete coincidence. "The producers had no idea of my connection to the illness or the charity," Daniel states that he personally didn't learn anything about the condition through the show, as he and his family had already been on the same journey that Billy and Paul went through. He added that he used the opportunity to commemorate his grandfather and the people whom he knew who had been living with the condition. "With everything that our storyline did and simultaneously, the wonderful Rob Burrow and his wife Lindsay did, I've seen more awareness raised for MND in the last sort of two or three years than I've seen in the last two decades. That's been the most beautiful thing to come out of it all." Daniel says that the MND community is not like anything he's ever known before. "It's like a club that nobody wants to be in," he said, but added that other people dealing with the condition or their loved ones are "supportive and upbeat." He said: "The strength and the positivity is continually astounding, and it is a really tight-knit, beautiful community." Daniel, who is an ambassador for the MND Association, is fronting the Omaze Million Pound house draw, with the funds going directly to the MND Association. "This is amazing," he said of the partnership, adding further: "It's fantastic. Hopefully, it should raise millions for the research, nurse network, which is going to be helping towards pioneering treatments and I genuinely, I'm ever hopeful that in my lifetime, I will see a cure for this disease because it is one of the cruellest diseases I think I've ever witnessed anybody go through." He praised Dame Pamela Shaw, the UK's leading neurologist for MND, saying: "She's incredibly positive about the future. They are making steps in terms of treatment, which could potentially slow it down. We now have Tofersen, a drug, there are different types of MND, but if you have the SOD1 gene, which is the familial type of MND, Tofersen is a type of drug that will slow it down. I know several people on Tofersens, and the quality of life is so much better, and the disease has rapidly slowed down in its progression. So it's very encouraging." But while Dan has appeared in shows such as Emmerdale, Waterloo Road, Casualty, The Bill and obviously Coronation Street, he admits it's his love of acting which draws him to a role. "I've also done a huge number of movies, a huge amount of theatre, and spent years with the Royal Shakespeare Company," he said. He went on to add: "It's whatever excites you. I love acting, I love my job, and I've been doing this since 1994. So when I pick up a script and I get that little flutter of excitement. It's always fun to embody somebody else. For me, it's getting that little buzz of excitement imagining yourself becoming that person. It's the detail for me, I enjoy playing characters and trying to find the truth in whatever story they're telling." Although Daniel has proudly spoken about his sexuality and often shares an insight into his relationship with his boyfriend Jordan, he was once advised by a former manager not to come out as gay. Daniel was told that being open about being gay would affect his work, which he later discovered was correct. Nowadays, though, he believes that attitudes have massively changed. "It's cool now," he said of being open about sexuality. "I think I'd have done it back then, it would not have been very cool," he said of coming out. He commented: "Now, it's sort of celebrated. So yes, attitudes, definitely have changed dramatically in the 30-odd years that I've been doing this for a living. "That's across the board, legally things have changed, and the attitude of the general public has changed. Yes, absolutely, it's a very different world from the one I knew when I was young and freshly coming out." MND Association Ambassador Daniel Brocklebank is supporting the latest Omaze Million Pound House Draw, Sussex in aid of the charity. Joined once again by Ayo Edebiri's Sydney, Ebon Moss-Bachrach's Richie and the rest of The Bear crew, Chef Carmy (White, above) will once again be chasing Michelin glory. It's all under wraps, but the cast will likely be packed with even more guest appearances, after series three featured John Cena, Thomas Keller and Will Poulter. Glastonbury - BBC, from June 27 THE BBC is showing more than 90 hours of the festival, with live streams from five main stages, and on-demand content for 30 days. The likes of Clara Amgo, Jo Whiley, Lauren Laverne and Huw Stephens will be there to guide viewers through the action on the iPlayer Glastonbury Channel. Dora And The Search For Sol Dorado - Paramount+, July 4 STARTING off as an animation series in 2000, Dora The Explorer had her first live action film in 2019's Lost City Of Gold. Now she is back for more adventuring. This time, teenage Dora, played by Samantha Lorraine, is embarking on a new journey deep in the jungle on a quest to find the mythical treasure of Sol Dorado. Along the way she will have to battle villains, with the help of her loyal cousin Diego, archaeologist Camila the Crusader and her trusty sidekick Boots the monkey. After making its premiere on kids' channel Nickelodeon UK on July 2, it will be available to stream – for kids and adults – on Paramout+. The Institute - MGM+, July 13 14 Martin Freeman's son Joe features in Stephen King-based horror The Institute Credit: Chris Reardon/MGM+ BASED on a 2019 novel by horror writer Stephen King, this eight-episode thriller follows 12-year-old genius Luke Ellis, who is kidnapped and wakes up in a mysterious facility where children with unusual abilities are being held against their will. Uefa Women's Euros - ITV & BBC, from July 2 14 There is live sport to get excited about when the Women's European Championships kick off Credit: Getty THE BBC and ITV are sharing coverage of the Women's Euros in Switzerland as the Lionesses, captained by Leah Williamson try to retain their crown. BBC Sport will air half of the group-stage matches, including both England and Wales' games against the Netherlands, as well as three of the tense quarter-finals. Commentary and analysis will come from Gabby Logan, Jeanette Kwakye, Alex Scott, Ellen White, Jill Scott and Steph Houghton. The England v Wales clash on July 13 will be a big live draw for ITV.
