Harry Kane gives take on major England fear ahead of 2026 World Cup
Harry Kane is currently sampling summer football in the United States at the Club World Cup, a year away from captaining England at next year's international edition
England captain Harry Kane has played down fears over the hot weather which players will experience at the 2026 World Cup. Next summer's international extravaganza will be held across Canada, the United States and Mexico, with temperatures expected to soar.
Kane, 31, will be no stranger to the extreme heat, as he's currently in the USA with Bayern Munich for the Club World Cup. There've been concerns that the conditions could negatively impact both tournaments, with a heatwave is expected next week which may see temperatures reach 41 degrees celcius.
England's coaching staff are already preparing for the weather, with manager Thomas Tuchel confirming ahead of their recent training camp that players would train in tents to simulate the heat.
But Kane believes that players will adapt, declaring after he scored in Bayern's 2-1 win against Boca Juniors in Miami: "I'm not concerned. It's part and parcel of football. You have to be able to adapt.
"It's a great experience for me and some of the other England guys who are playing this year and who will be playing next summer. "There's always something special about these World Cup games and next year will be the same.
"When you come off that pitch and you're sweating and you're dripping and you're cramping and you've given everything out there, there's a special feeling inside, especially when you win."
Other England players who are currently in the United States with their clubs include Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and John Stones. Kane hopes that his international team-mates will use their experience this summer as a learning curve.
"We (the players) are not in touch with each other right now but it's something we'll talk about at upcoming camps - how we all adapted to it and what training methods we used," the striker told the Mail.

"All of this is good experience because it's going to be tough next summer without a doubt. And we have to use our experiences as an advantage."
Tuchel was watching Kane and Bayern in Miami to experience the climate for himself. "It is important to see matches now in America, and in Miami at three in the afternoon," the England boss explained last month.
"I will see that. And how it looks and we need to understand how to cool the players down, to drink and what our options are. I have done pre-season there in Orlando and I will be very surprised if we do not suffer. Suffering is one of the headlines for this World Cup."
