Published on: Fri, Jun 20, 2025 Text Size: KOTA KINABALU: Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim ( pic ) tops the list of State award recipients in conjunction with the 74th official birthday of Head of State Tun Musa Aman, on Saturday. Jahid is among four recipients of the state's highest honour, the Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK), which carries the title Datuk Seri Panglima.
Advertisement Other SPDK recipients include Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Finance Minister's Special Advisory Body member Datuk Ahmad Fuad Md Ali, and businessman Datuk Lim Yu Ming. Kapayan Assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang, Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, and Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Dr Fuziah Salleh are among those awarded the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK), which confers the title Datuk. A total of 78 individuals are receiving the PGDK in this year's state awards ceremony. Another 100 are conferred the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK), followed by 181 receiving the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK).

KOTA KINABALU, June 20 (Bernama) -- Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail heads a list of 1,015 recipients of state honours in conjunction with the 74th official birthday of the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sabah, Tun Musa Aman. Saifuddin Nasution was conferred the Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK), which carries the title 'Datuk Seri Panglima'. Also receiving the SPDK were Sabah Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim, as well as businessmen Datuk Ahmad Fuad Md Ali and Datuk Lim Yu Ming. Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Deputy Minister Dr Fuziah Salleh and Tourism, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan were among the 78 recipients of the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) award, which carries the title of 'Datuk'. Other PGDK recipients include Senator Anna Bell @ Suzieana Perian, Labuan MP Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman, Kapayan assemblyman Jannie Lasimbang, and Pantai Manis assemblyman Mohd Tamin Zainal. Among the other recipients were Kota Kinabalu High Court Judge Alexander Siew How Wai; Head of the Internal Security and Public Order Department, Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters, SAC Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek; and Head of the Special Branch, Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters, SAC Abdul Rahman Ishak. Also conferred the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) were Commander of the 13th Infantry Brigade, Brig Gen Jagjit Singh Indar Singh; Sabah State Health Department Director, Dr Maria Suleiman; Sabah Parks Director, Dr Maklarin Lakim; Football Association of Malaysia President, Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub; and Sabah Islamic Religious Council Chief Executive Officer, Ramlan Awang Ali. A total of 274 individuals were conferred the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK), 181 received the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK), 248 the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK), 285 the Bintang Kinabalu (BK), 109 the Perkhidmatan Terpuji award, and 10 were bestowed the Jaksa Pendamai (Justice of the Peace) title. Three Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Sabah Bureau staff were also honoured, namely seasoned journalist Emin Madi, who was conferred the PGDK; Sabah Bureau Chief Fadzli Ramli, who received the ADK; and photographer Zamain Singkui, who was awarded the BSK.

KOTA KINABALU (June 20): A total of 1,015 people are conferred awards in conjunction with Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman's 74th official birthday. Four are given the highest state award while 78 receive the second highest state award. Leading the list was Policy Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister member Dato Ahmad Fuad Md Ali, who was conferred the 'Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu' (SPDK), which carries the 'Datuk Seri Panglima' title. Three other people who received the SPDK award were State Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and businessman Datuk Lim Yu Ming. Meanwhile, 78 people have been given the 'Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu' (PGDK) award, which carries the 'Datuk' title, including Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan and Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Dr Fuziah Salleh, Kapayan assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang and Pantai Manis assemblyman Mohd Tamin Zainal. In addition, the PGDK award was conferred to Senator Anna Bell Perian, Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) vice president Chong Pit Fah, National Trust Party (Amanah) Sabah chairman Lahirul Latigu and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) youth chief Christopher Mandut. Also receiving the PGDK were Sabah Electricity chief executive officer IR Mohd Yaakob Jaafar, State Health director Dr Maria Suleiman, Sabah Parks director Maklarin Lakim, Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Datuk Joehari Ayub Aman and High Court judge Alexander Siew How Wai. For the third highest award, the 'Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu', a hundred people were listed, including former state Unduk Ngadau winners Daphne Iking and Dolly Jimayol, Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Petagas chief Mohd Isquzawan Israq Arsit and Sabah Masters Athletic Association (Samas) president Ramjit Nairulal. There are 181 recipients of the 'Ahli Darjah Kinabalu' award, while 248 have been given the 'Bintang Setia Kinabalu' award, including state footballer Ronny Harun. A total of 109 people will be receiving the Commendable Service Award. As for the Justice of People (JP) title, ten people were conferred, including Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sabah chief Datuk Karunanithy Y Subbiah, SMJ Energy Sdn Bhd board non-executive director Datuk Mohd Sofian Alfian Nair and Society of Hope Sabah president Josephine Hadikusumo.

District police chief ACP Kasim Muda said organisers are accountable for ensuring public order, road access and community safety are not compromised. Advertisement Offences related to unlawful assembly include sedition, criminal defamation, obstructing public servants, and possessing dangerous weapons, carrying penalties ranging from fines to imprisonment. He added that non-citizens and minors are prohibited from organising or joining assemblies under the law.
