The NBA offseason is right around the corner and the Detroit Pistons are a team to monitor this summer as they try to upgrade their roster and build off their impressive season.

Detroit was able to finish sixth in the Eastern Conference this season and they gave the New York Knicks a fight in the first round before eventually falling in six games.
Despite this, it was a successful season for the Pistons as they went from having the worst record in the NBA the prior two seasons to being a playoff team.

Now Detroit has some key decisions to make this summer as they look to build around their core of Cade Cunningham, Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren.
Of course, the Pistons could elect to make a trade for another star this offseason or they could just look to upgrade their rotation via trades and in free agency.

One player who has been linked to the Pistons is Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama.
According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Grizzlies and other teams believe that the Pistons could be a threat to pursue Aldama this offseason.
Aldama is a restricted free agent, which means that Memphis could match any offer he receives, though they may be willing to move on from him this summer if another team offers him too large of a contract, which Detroit could do.
Detroit could be a perfect landing spot for Aldama as he would give them another big man and scorer who would likely come off the bench behind Tobias Harris.

This season, the 24-year-old averaged 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 48.3% from the field and 36.8% from three-point range.

Aldama was able to improve his numbers again this season as he continues to develop his game, especially on the offensive side and he could be a key piece off the bench for Detroit if they elect to pursue him this summer.

Golden State Warriors jersey history - No. 15 - Steve Burtt (1984-85)

The Golden State Warriors have had over 600 players don the more than 60 jersey numbers used by their players over the more than 75 years of existence the team has enjoyed in its rich and storied history. Founded in 1946 during the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- a precursor league of the NBA) era, the team has called home the cities of Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and even San Diego. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Warriors Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. For this article, we begin with the 19th of 27 players who wore the No. 15 jersey for the Warriors. That player would be Golden State guard alum Steve Burtt. After ending his college career at Iona College, Burtt was picked up with the 30th overall selection of the 1984 NBA draft by the Warriors. The New Yorker would play the first season of his pro career with the Dubs, coming to an end when he left to play in another domestic league in 1985. During his time suiting up for the Warriors, Burtt wore only jersey No. 15 and put up 4.2 points per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.

LeBron James Reacts to Kevin Durant's Announcement

LeBron James Reacts to Kevin Durant's Announcement originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant is expected to be traded this offseason. A 15-time NBA All-Star, Durant was part of a star trio in Phoenix that included Bradley Beal and Devin Booker. But this group failed to win a playoff game in two seasons together, and missed the 2025 postseason entirely. Advertisement Durant has been linked to several teams this offseason, with the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat being the three on his preferred list (via ESPN). As these rumors continue to circulate, Durant made an off the court announcement earlier this week with Boardroom, his co-owned media network. "Kevin Durant, PSG and Boardroom just dropped a capsule that bridges D.C. and Paris in style," the post began. "...
