Sonakshi Sinha
tied the knot with
Zaheer Iqbal
on June 23, 2024. Rumours were rife that Sonakshi's brother
Kussh S Sinha
was not happy with the wedding and he did not attend it. This led to a lot of speculations. But Kussh is now making his directorial debut with 'Nikita Roy' which stars Sonakshi in the lead.
As ETimes spoke to him regarding the film, we also asked him if all's well between him and Sonakshi.
He was happy to clear out the confusion and misinformation. Kussh told ETimes, "There's a misinformation going on since last year. She's my sister. I was very much there at her wedding. I don't know who put it out that I wasn't there. I do love my sister! There's so much curiosity around it, but I can just say it was all misinformaton."
Kussh was also all praise for Sonakshi as he directed her. He said, "She has always been very good. 'Lootera' which was her 2nd or 3rd film but she was so good, of course, Vikramaditya Motwane had a lot to do with it. But she does have something special. Which is also why I wanted to work with her in Nikita Roy. An actor who is willing to put in those emotions, willing to look gritty. In my mind, there were very few actors who could do it.
"
Ankita
The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal. 'Nikita Roy' is set to release on June 27.

Sonakshi Sinha Recalls Chilling Encounter With A 'Harmless Ghost' At Home: 'I Froze...'

Last Updated: During promotions for her paranormal film Nikita Roy, Sonakshi Sinha opened up about a chilling real-life ghostly encounter at her home. After dazzling audiences in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi, actor Sonakshi Sinha is gearing up for the release of her upcoming paranormal film Nikita Roy. Fittingly, during promotions for the movie, Sonakshi shared an eerie real-life brush with the supernatural — one that shook her long-held disbelief in ghosts. In a candid chat with Bollywood Hungama, Sonakshi revealed that until recently, she didn't believe in ghosts or paranormal phenomena at all. But one unsettling incident at her own home left her questioning everything. 'I used to not believe. I used to not believe at all," she said. 'But one day, something very weird happened to me in my house. Since then, I've been a little shaken. But after that, nothing happened, so I thought, maybe it was a dream? It was a harmless ghost — possibly." The encounter took place around 4 am, while she was in that blurry state between sleep and wakefulness. 'I was in that stage where your eyes are shut but your mind is alert," she explained. 'Suddenly, I felt this pressure, like someone was trying to wake me up. I was terrified. I just froze. I didn't open my eyes. I couldn't move. I stayed like that till morning — I didn't open my eyes until the lights came on. It really shook me up." The experience left such a strong impression that Sonakshi even spoke out loud to the mysterious entity the next night, hoping to ward off any future visits. 'When I came home the next night, it was late again. I peeked in first, then said very loudly: 'Jo bhi aaya tha kal raat ko, phirse aise mat karo. Main bohot darr gayi thi. Agar kuch baat karni hai toh mere sapne mein aana… no face-to-face conversation.' And then I walked in. I swear, since then, nothing like that has happened again." Earlier this year, Sonakshi also made headlines for selling her plush Bandra home for Rs 22.5 crore — though no ghosts were reportedly included in the deal. First Published: June 21, 2025, 20:06 IST

Pushpa began as a woman searching for her husband, but along the way, she discovered herself — starting a business, returning to school, and now pursuing a law degree. Her growth has been truly inspiring, and I feel both proud and grateful to bring her story to life. Shows like this are rare, and I genuinely feel blessed." Moreover, the actress acknowledges the unpredictability of the entertainment industry and accepts that she has seen several ups and downs but they don't define her. Munawar Faruqui feels AI is killing creativity: It will make the future generation lethargic

In an age where technology is rapidly reshaping our lives, the conversation around creativity and innovation has taken a new turn. Munnawar Faruqui, content creator-actor-singer, raises a thought-provoking concern: Is AI a double-edged sword? Munnawar, who is currently keeping his fans engaged with the release of 'First Copy,' a crime-thriller revolving around a piracy empire, recently sat down with ETimes for a candid cup of conversation. During the same time, he shared his unfiltered view on how privacy impacts the entertainment business. He also expressed his views on AI being a bigger threat. Here are the excerpts from the conversation.. Content can be good, bad, or ugly, but piracy is simply wrong Piracy has been a sad reality of the entertainment industry. Earlier, it was limited to pirated CDs; now it has taken the shape of a digital monster. And with every passing year, its impact hollows the industry from the roots. Elaborating on the same with an example, Munnawar shares, 'It's like if one production spends, there are 200-300 people that are connected with, and everyone earns from it. It's not that they don't get money if there is piracy, but it becomes difficult for the production houses to bear something like this next time. ' 'Continuously working on that production cost, with the same effort, becomes difficult; so, it is like everyone is at a loss if there is piracy. And you said it correctly that piracy is the sad reality, and that is why we want to make good content that travels, even if it's good or bad, piracy should not be done,' he added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like New Container Houses Indonesia (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search Ads Search Now Undo First Copy trailer: Munawar Faruqui, Inaamulhaq nd Meiyang Chang Starrer First Copy Official Trailer According to Munnawar, the audience should act responsibly to bring about a change. 'The audience should take responsibility for this. If they want to see entertainment, then they have to make some efforts.' Is AI a bigger threat? 'I think it will make the future generation lethargic,' responds Munnawar while speaking on the subject of AI's not-so-subtle takeover. 'It is already happening with the market; like, now you can bring things directly to your home. Earlier, you used to go to the market and walk, which was a good thing. Similarly, if AI is doing all your work, it will make you lethargic,' says the actor. He continues, 'The young generation, the small children, are making all their projects on AI. This kills your creativity, and your thinking power is restricted. You will never go to the second option because you are writing one line and getting the poster or the story. So, I think it is bad for us. The people who don't want to work themselves or the people who think it is easier, are using AI.' He added, 'I don't like the way AI is because it kills creativity. I have not yet used it so far, don't even know what the software is.' On the contrary, when the 'First Copy' director Farhan P. Zamma shared a different opinion, Munnawar concluded by saying, 'As Farhan bhai said, 'we have to upgrade by time' - but this is something I don't want to upgrade. It will affect me if I use it.'
