Manchester City vs Wydad FIFA Club World Cup 2025 LIVE SCORE UPDATES: Action begins at 9:30 PM IST

Manchester City will be hoping to salvage their season with a strong FIFA Club World Cup 2025 run.
In the opening Group G clash of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, Manchester City will take on Wydad AC tonight at the Lincoln Field Stadium. The Moroccan side secured third place in the 2024–25 Botola Pro 1, earning a spot in the CAF Champions League 2025–26. However, they failed to qualify for the 2024–25 edition, which was ultimately won by Egypt's Pyramids FC.
Manchester City, meanwhile, endured a disappointing 2024–25 season. After winning the Premier League four consecutive times from 2020–21 to 2023–24, they lost the title to Liverpool. Their UEFA Champions League campaign was also underwhelming; they placed 22nd in the league stage and needed to go through the knockout playoffs, only to be eliminated by Real Madrid. To make matters worse, City also lost the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace, who qualified for the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League as a result. City will be hoping to salvage their season with a strong Club World Cup run.

Bellingham strikes as Dortmund sink Sundowns in Club World Cup thriller

Jobe Bellingham netted his first Borussia Dortmund goal in a gripping 4-3 win over Mamelodi Sundowns at the Club World Cup on Saturday. HT Image The English midfielder, who this month followed older brother Jude's footsteps in joining the German side, started for the first time for Dortmund. Sundowns of South Africa took a surprise early lead but Dortmund hit back strongly to triumph in sweltering conditions in Cincinnati at the TQL Stadium and move top of Group F. "It's a really nice bonus (to score), I'm glad we won but there's a lot of things for me to improve on personally and for the team," Bellingham told DAZN. Dortmund coach Niko Kovac had claimed teams from the "south" had an advantage because of the heat, and the Sundowns 11th minute opener appeared to confirm his fears. Lucas Ribeiro's fine solo goal put the CAF Champions League runners-up ahead, with the Brazilian charging forward from his own half before beating Gregor Kobel. However Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams handed Dortmund their equaliser on a plate, passing the ball straight to Felix Nmecha, who stroked home. Both stoppers made good saves in an end-to-end clash before Dortmund claimed the lead through striker Serhou Guirassy. Dortmund won the ball high up the pitch and Julian Brandt crossed for the Guinea international to score with a fine leap and header, continuing his fine form this season. Bellingham, who joined earlier in June from Sunderland for 33 million euros ($37 million), netted Dortmund's third just before the break. Williams parried a cross into his path and after controlling on his chest, Bellingham drilled home. "I've practised that so many times, arriving late on the edge of the box as a midfielder is something you have to be really good at," said Bellingham. "As a kid and at Sunderland I've practised that so many times, during training, after training, so I'm really proud of it." His brother Jude signed for Dortmund five years ago, before joining Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2023. "Hey Jobe," sang Dortmund fans, adapting the Beatles classic "Hey Jude" which they used to sing to Jude Bellingham. "I didn't hear that but it's really nice," said the Dortmund midfielder. Dortmund were toothless in their opening draw against Fluminense but grabbed their fourth when Kuliso Mudau turned into his own net as he tried to cut out a cross. Three minutes later Iqraam Rayners pulled one back as the Sundowns, who have won the last eight South African league titles, refused to give up. Rayners, who netted Sundowns' winner in the first match against Ulsan HD, hit the post with a header and reacted quickly to nod home the rebound. Portuguese coach Miguel Cardoso's side pulled back another through Lebo Mothiba in the 90th minute, forcing Dortmund to sweat through six minutes of stoppage time before they were able to celebrate their victory. "The result is not what we wanted but we made a wonderful game," Cardoso told DAZN. "It's important people understand what was at stake in this match. (Considering) the level of team that we played against, we worked fantastically. "The boys made a wonderful performance... it was a hell of a match. I'm not happy but very proud." Later Saturday in the other Group F clash Fluminense take on Ulsan at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. rbs/ea BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Draymond Green makes shocking prediction ahead of OKC vs Pacers NBA Finals Game 7

The Indiana Pacers shocked everyone by winning the Eastern Conference and making it to the NBA Finals. Most people didn't think they had a shot against the strong Oklahoma City Thunder. Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green(AP) But on Thursday, the Pacers crushed the Thunder in Game 6, and now the series is tied. They're just one win away from a championship. With Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, head coach Rick Carlisle, and a group of strong role players, the Pacers have gone way beyond what anyone expected. No matter what happens next, they've become one of the best underdog stories in NBA history. The Thunder were favorites to win the title all through the playoffs, but now it's all down to one last game. Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green thinks this could be OKC's only shot. Also Read: NBA powerhouse Kevin Durant buys minority stake in 2025 Champions League-winning club Paris Saint-Germain 'The pressure is all on them…' 'They are supposed to win,' Green said about the Thunder. 'The pressure is all on them… I want to see what OKC going to do, because I'll tell you this BD: If OKC don't win this championship, they may never win a championship.' When Baron Davis asked Green if he thought the Thunder would win a title in the next three years if they lost this one, Green disagreed. 'Not at all,' Green said. 'Here's why. I think they get in a tough position if they don't win a championship. When you get the opportunity to win a championship, if you win it, you give yourself the opportunity to win more. But if you lose it, now you start tweaking stuff, and those tweaks could put you further away from where you were.' The Thunder and the Pacers will play Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday. Where to watch ? You can watch the Final on ABC – National TV broadcast, airing Game 7 live at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on Sunday, June 22.
