According to a report from Adam B. Vary of Variety, Emily Hampshire, known for playing Stevie Budd in "Schitt's Creek," has been cast in the upcoming Disney+ series "Vision Quest" as E.D.I.T.H.

E.D.I.T.H., which stands for "Even Dead, I'm The Hero," was first introduced into the MCU in "Spider-Man: Far From Home" as the sunglasses gifted to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).
The glasses were later given to Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) by Parker before being retrieved once his nefarious plans were known. After Parker was revealed to be Spider-Man, the glasses were confiscated and haven't been seen since.

Hampshire will be joining a cast led by Paul Bettany as Vision, who was last seen in the hit series "WandaVision." Also returning is James Spader as Ultron, who was last seen in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
Other members of the cast include T'Nia Miller as Jocasta, Ruaridh Mollica as Tucker, and Todd Stashwick as an assassin who is hunting Vision.

Hampshire has been acting professionally since 1994, when she made her debut in "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Since then, she has starred in such projects as "Boy Meets Girl," "Snow Cake," the "12 Monkeys" television series, and "Ruby Gloom."
Hampshire has also had voice acting roles in "Braceface," "Anne of Green Gables: The Animates Series," and "6Teen."
However, Hampshire is most well-known for her performance as Stevie Budd in "Schitt's Creek." The best friend of David Rose (Daniel Levy), Hampshire became beloved by fans for her dry sense of humor and no-nonsense attitude.
She won countless awards for her performance, including the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

The problem with building an ever-expanding universe of superheroes and villains for them to battle is that the cast list can't stop growing, often leading to some stars getting placed in roles when they could've been better used elsewhere. For example, as great as Mads Mikkelsen was as Kaecillius in Doctor Strange, it feels like the world will always have been missing a perfect pick for Magneto, or even Doctor Doom, because he's just that cool to handle either role. Unfortunately, he and a few other big names have also suffered for their spot in the MCU, and fans have recently taken to Reddit to lament how much they never got to show their full potential. One Redditor highlighted Walton Goggins in Ant-Man and the Wasp and Kit Harington in Eternals, when he took the role of Black Knight-to-be, Dane Whitman. There was also the criminally underused Bill Skarsgård as Kro (don't worry, we struggled to remember his appearance, too), as well as Katy M. O'Brien and William Jackson Harper in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Another fan argued there was still hope for some, though, writing, "I think Bill Skarsgard gets a pass here. Marvel could absolutely use him again, and a lot of people honestly don't even know that was him. I also have faith that we haven't seen the last of Goggins." One fan continued to support Goggins' reprisal of his role as black market dealer Sonny Burch, saying, "It's a damn shame that we haven't seen Goggins' character return yet. And it's a bigger shame that we haven't seen Sam Rockwell return either. Such a waste." The good news is that at this point, actors have played multiple roles in the MCU, and thanks to the multiverse, characters have and will be played by various actors, so some of these names can return in a different form. We'll keep an eye out in the hope that there's some space for the likes of Goggins, Harington, and more as the MCU powers on. Thunder superfan Kristin Chenoweth nailed the national anthem before Game 7
The Oklahoma City Thunder broke out the big guns ahead of Sunday night's Game 7. Before tip off in the winner-take-all game of the NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers, the Thunder had Kristin Chenoweth — a Tony and Emmy-award winner and star of the Broadway hit show Wicked — sing the national anthem. Chenoweth is a long-time Thunder superfan and an Oklahoma native who knows her hoops. Plus, of course, as a Broadway alum and Tony-winning singer there was absolutely no chance of a repeat of Fergie's incredibly weird national anthem. Chenoweth took her time with Game 7's national anthem before hitting the high notes at the end in typical stunning Chenoweth style. The fans in Oklahoma City absolutely loved the anthem too, if the roar of the crowd was any indication.

Woman Finds 1962 Barbie in Thrift Store—Can't Believe The Price Tag

A Virginia woman was left stunned when she wandered into a thrift store, only to find a 1962 collector's item listed for just $10.99. For Grace Caroline, 29, thrifting has long been an exhilarating hobby, and she's found countless second-hand treasures in the past. But when she and a friend recently traveled further afield to some of the larger thrift stores in northern Virginia, she couldn't believe what she found in the Christmas decorations aisle. To her surprise, Caroline saw a vintage Barbie doll from 1962, still in her original box. It seemed too good to be true, as Caroline told Newsweek that she thought "it had to be a reproduction" at first. But as she looked closer, she realized what an amazing find this was. She continued: "She is still in her original box from 1962 and looks mostly untouched. She does have a case of what Barbie collectors call green ear, where the original metal earrings she once wore oxidized into the vinyl of the face. She is missing her hand tag, but still luckily has the original booklet with her, still sealed." Caroline didn't hesitate to buy the Barbie, especially as it cost just $10.99. Indeed, the packaging even has the original sticker with the price on, showing that the doll was once sold for $2. When adjusted for inflation, this equates to around $21 in 2025. Although Caroline isn't a Barbie collector, she is a Pokémon collector and certainly knows the value of an original item. "Once the doll was confirmed not to be a reproduction, I immediately recognized the significance of this Barbie as one of the first releases. I wanted to ensure that it was saved from the thrift to be in the hands of a Barbie collector where it can be cherished and appreciated after 63 years in storage," Caroline told Newsweek. She shared her discovery in a Reddit post (posting as user u/mewisme700), and it's gone viral with over 12,000 votes and 270 comments in a matter of days. Amy McKune, a curator at the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures, believes that it's an amazing find, made even better by the near pristine condition it's been kept in. McKune told Newsweek: "She does appear to be in her original box, wearing her original swimsuit and red sandals. Often the thin strap on the tops of those sandals has split as the plastic has aged. I can't see her ears to know if she still has her original earrings. The pearl earrings often have left an area of green discoloration around the ears." It appears to be a #6 Barbie, introduced in 1962, McKune says. She noted that the #6 model was the first doll to wear the famous red swimsuit, with earlier versions sporting a black and white striped one instead. In fact, many didn't even believe that it could be real. Caroline said: "I have a lot of people calling it staged because thrift stores have become very adamant in making sure the good stuff goes behind the counter. But with the sheer amount of daily donations thrift stores get because of our hyper-consumeristic lifestyle, it doesn't surprise me that gems like this do slip past thrift employees." Among the hundreds of comments on the post, many Reddit users were amazed by the iconic vintage Barbie. One comment reads: "That's an impossible find! I'm so jealous!" Another Reddit user wrote: "Amazing find. Never even seen one in the original box!" While another person replied: "This is awesome!
