The first threat, received on June 13 to
's official email (bangalore-apsu@cisf.gov.in), came from an Outlook ID under the name, Chitrakala S Gopalan (chitrakalas_gopalan@outlook.com). The email made reference to a group called "Madras Tigers" and warned of "human IEDs" set to detonate near the airport's fuselage and prayer rooms. On June 16, another threat mail was received by KIA engagement centre.
Sent from email ID alex_paul_menon@hotmail.com, the message said "IED in two places is like a puzzle — solve one to solve the other", and warned of a potential remote detonation using RFID technology.
A senior police officer said the emails were routed through VPN, making it difficult to trace the originating IP addresses or servers.
Threat to schools
Miscreants have been sending bomb threat emails to schools across the city. Last week, many schools in central business district (CBD) areas and in a few other places received threat emails. On Thursday, three private schools in northeast Bengaluru received such emails.

BENGALURU: A 36-year-old lady doctor from Shivanahalli in Yelahanka was deplaned from an Air India flight from Bengaluru to Surat on Tuesday afternoon on charges of Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act 1982. The doctor was deplaned from the flight at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) due to security concerns. The incident occurred before the flight was scheduled to depart to Surat. It is said that the woman was offloaded before takeoff. The doctor has been identified as Vyas Hiral Mohan Bai. Agnimitra Bahinipati (39), Associate Manager, Security, of KIA, has filed a complaint in the BIAL police station on Tuesday around 6.30 pm. According to the complaint, Vyas after boarding the flight had reportedly left her baggage in the first row. When the cabin crew questioned her, the doctor is said to have told the crew to keep her baggage at her seat number 20F. She also allegedly threatened to 'crash' the aeroplane if her orders were not followed. She is said to have displayed violent behaviour despite the captain's request. As her act was risking the lives of those present in the flight, she was deplaned. 'The woman who was arrested was produced before the court and she was granted bail,' said an officer. Along with the safety of civil Aviation Act, the woman is also booked for criminal intimidation by anonymous communication (BNS 351(4)) and another section of BNS.

A woman was offloaded from a Bengaluru-Surat flight on Tuesday after she allegedly caused a disruption over cabin luggage placement and behaved inappropriately with airline staff, prompting intervention by the passenger, identified as Vyas Hiral Mohanbhai from Bengaluru's Yelahanka area, was scheduled to depart from Kempegowda International Airport to Surat on June 17. The incident occurred during the boarding process, when Vyas reportedly placed her cabin baggage near seat 20F, which was not her assigned multiple requests from the cabin crew to relocate her luggage, she refused to comply and allegedly engaged in disorderly conduct. Her actions created a disturbance that drew the attention of fellow passengers and delayed boarding. Following the disruption, airline staff decided to offload her from the flight before takeoff. She was handed over to the airport police for further to sources, her unruly behaviour continued even after being escorted off the aircraft. At the police station, she allegedly attempted to assault a female staff member.A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against her at the Kempegowda International Airport Police Station under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, sections 351(4) and 353(1)(b), which deal with criminal intimidation and statements conducing to public mischief, investigation into the incident is currently IN THIS STORY#Bengaluru#Surat
