Diary of a Ditched Girl OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Carla Seh's Swedish series
Diary of a Ditched Girl OTT Release Date: In today's world of ghosting, swiping left, and awkward 'talk to you soon' texts, Diary of a Ditched Girl lands as a brutally relatable, bittersweet, and painfully honest look at dating in your thirties. Set to release on Netflix on September 11, 2025, this Swedish original brings heartbreak, humour, and modern love drama together in a way that feels all too familiar. What's the story about? At the heart of the series is Amanda, played by Carla Sehn, a 31-year-old woman trying to make sense of her love life. She's been through the wringer: flaky men, blind dates that go nowhere, and dating apps that feel more like slot machines than matchmaking tools. More than just finding a boyfriend, Amanda's journey is also about figuring herself out, what she wants, what she deserves, and how much rejection she can take before she starts questioning her own worth. Every episode walks us through a summer in Malmö, Amanda's city and emotional playground, where she and her group of equally confused friends attempt to find meaningful connections while barely making it past the first date. Meet the cast and crew Other than Carla Sehn, Diary of a Ditched Girl also stars Moah Madsen, Zahraa Aldoujaili, Malou Marnfeldt, Dilan Apak, Ingela Olsson, Isac Calmroth, Johannes Lindkvist, Adam Dahlström and Kit Walker Johansson. The show is based on the book Halva Malmö gjorde slut med mig by Amanda Romare. Diary of a Ditched Girl is directed by Emma Bucht and Susanne Thorson, and produced by Jarowskij, a company well-known for delivering top-tier Nordic television dramas. The screenplay has been adapted by Tove Eriksen Hillblom (Solsidan, Inte OK!) and Moa Herngren (Bonusfamiljen, Sjölyckan), two seasoned Swedish writers who know how to mix heartache with humour. Whether you're single, taken, or somewhere in between, this is one story that'll make you laugh, cringe, and maybe even cry. And if you've ever been ditched, this diary is definitely for you.

Indian-Origin Rapper Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj Faces Backlash Over Kali Maa Depiction In Explicit Music Video
New Delhi: Indian-origin rapper Tommy Genesis has come under fire from netizens over her latest music video. Tommy Genesis — whose real name is Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj — released the video for her song True Blue recently, and it has sparked widespread outrage online, with many accusing her of cultural appropriation. In the video, Mohanraj appears to portray the Hindu goddess Kali Maa, wearing blue body paint, heavy gold jewelry, and a red bindi. The Canada-based artist is also seen holding a crucifix, licking it, and posing with it suggestively — actions that further fueled the controversy. The song True Blue is part of her upcoming album, Genesis. In the now-viral clip, she wears a gold bikini, golden stilettos, and is seen folding her hands in a 'namaste' gesture at one point, while performing explicit moves in other scenes. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tommy Genesis (@tommygenesis) How Did the Internet React? Reactions across social media were swift and scathing: One user called the video 'disrespectful' Another wrote, 'Our goddess is not your costume... what validation are you seeking?' A third commented, 'This is PATHETIC! Stop appropriating Hindu culture for likes.' 'Appropriating Hindu culture is the new trend for these so-called Westerners,' another user added. A commenter wrote, 'Yikes. And the fact that you thought this was cool — lmao.' Another said, 'You're literally using Hindu gods for aesthetic and clout. Delete this.' One tweet read: 'This is Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj. She is a Canadian citizen of Malayalam, Tamil, and Swedish descent. Her Indian heritage makes it very likely that this portrayal was deliberate. This is blasphemy.' Another person expressed disappointment: 'She is a Canadian artist with Indian roots — from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Her new song openly mocks both Hindu and Christian faiths. This isn't creativity, it's pure disrespect.' Who is Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj? Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj, known professionally as Tommy Genesis, was born in Vancouver, Canada. She is of Tamil and Swedish descent, with roots tracing back to Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Her music often explores themes of gender, sexuality, and rebellion. She has previously described herself as a 'fetish rapper.' In 2016, she was dubbed 'the internet's most rebellious underground rap queen' by an international publication.

Kuberaa Box Office Day 2: Dhanush-Rashmika Mandanna Film Earns Rs 30 Crore, Beats Suriya's Retro
Kuberaa box office collection day 2: Dhanush-starrer earns Rs 30.75 crore in India, with Telugu version leading. Dhanush's latest film Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula and co-starring Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh, is off to a solid start at the box office. The multilingual film has earned an estimated Rs 30.75 crore net in India within just two days of release, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. On Saturday, the film brought in around Rs 16 crore, slightly up from its opening day collection of Rs 14.75 crore. Despite strong reviews and audience word-of-mouth, the growth in collections has been modest. However, Kuberaa is holding strong, especially in the Telugu-speaking regions. The Telugu version of the film recorded a solid 66.19% occupancy rate, outperforming the Tamil version by a noticeable margin. The film's earnings are comparable to other recent releases. It is neck and neck with Dhanush's Raayan, which made Rs 27.04 crore in two days, and has edged past Suriya's Retro, which earned Rs 27 crore in the same time frame. Backed by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao under Amigos Creations, Kuberaa features Dhanush in an intense and unconventional role — that of a beggar — which has earned him critical acclaim. Dhanush's emotional connection with the film was evident when he attended the first day, first show of Kuberaa with his son Linga at Rohini Silver Screens in Chennai. Dhanush was visibly emotional as fans cheered loudly, scaled theatre walls, and tried to catch a glimpse of him. Videos of the moment, showing him folding hands and acknowledging the crowd, quickly went viral. His security had to intervene to help him safely exit the premises. Interestingly, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave the film a UA certificate only after significant edits. The total duration was reduced by 13 minutes and 41 seconds from the original cut and 19 scenes were trimmed before approval. With a steady pace at the box office and positive word-of-mouth, Kuberaa looks set for a strong weekend run. The film's success hasn't just been limited to the box office. Kuberaa has also sparked significant buzz around its digital release. According to a report by OTT Play, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for a staggering Rs 50 crore. This makes it one of the biggest OTT acquisition deals in recent times. First Published:
