Ajman announces remote work system on Fridays and shortened work hours from Monday to Thursday for government employees from July 1 to August 22, 2025.
Approved by the Ajman Executive Council under the leadership of Crown Prince Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the new initiative, 'Our Summer is Balanced' aims to improve the quality of life for government employees during the summer months.
Sheikh Ammar emphasised that the initiative reflects the Ajman Government's commitment to creating a flexible, productive, and people-centric work environment, under the guidance of Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and Member of the Supreme Council.
The initiative
The summer working model will remain in effect throughout the peak heat months, with further evaluations expected to determine long-term impact and feasibility of similar initiatives in future seasons.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has expressed his condolences on the passing of Mohammed Ibrahim Obaidullah, a prominent Emirati businessman known for his deep commitment to humanitarian causes. In a heartfelt message posted on X, Dubai Ruler paid tribute to Obaidullah, describing him as "one of the loyal men of the Emirates" whose legacy will live on through the charitable work he dedicated his life to. "May God have mercy on Mohammed Ibrahim Obaidullah," Sheikh Mohammed wrote. "What distinguished him from others were his charitable works, his history in the field of humanitarian work, especially the establishment of hospitals and health centres, the construction of mosques, and his charitable projects inside and outside the country." Sheikh Mohammed added that Obaidullah's goodwill continue to resonate long after he is gone. Bahrain resumes normal working hours from June 24, eases traffic restrictions

Bahrain will resume normal working operations from tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24, a day after implementing a remote working system across all ministries and government agencies. On Sunday, after the escalation of conflict between Iran and Israel, Bahrain's Civil Service Bureau (CSB) announced the activation of a remote working system for government entities, with up to 70 per cent of employees working from home. This has now been rolled back from June 24. Traffic movement across Bahrain has now returned to normal. The Ministry of Interior had urged citizens and residents to limit travel and use main roads to "only when necessary" after US bombed Iran's nuclear facilities. The ministry thanked all citizens and residents for their cooperation and understanding of the temporary precautionary measures. Bahrain activated a remote learning system on June 22 for all public and private educational institutions. This directive applied to kindergartens, schools, and universities, which have been instructed to shift to digital and online platforms for teaching and learning activities. After the US bombed Iran's three nuclear sites in the wee hours of June 22, the Ministry of Education issued instructions to all public and private educational institutions to move to online learning as a precautionary measure. The island nation took these precautionary measures, as Bahrain and Iran are separated by approximately 200km of sea.
