Three terrorists killed in Balochistan
ISLAMABAD: Security forces eliminated three terrorists affiliated with the Indian-sponsored Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) during two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan on May 17 and 18, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Monday.
According to the ISPR, the first operation was carried out in the Gishkur area of Awaran district, where troops acted on credible intelligence regarding the presence of BLF operatives. During the intense exchange of fire, terrorist Younas was killed, while two of his accomplices sustained injuries.
In a separate engagement in Turbat town of Ketch district, security forces neutralised two high-profile BLF terrorists — Sabr Ullah, identified as the ring leader, and Amjad alias Bichoo.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the terrorists who, the ISPR noted, were involved in multiple attacks against law enforcement agencies and in the targeted killing of civilians.
Sanitisation operations are currently underway in both areas to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorist threats.
'Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain resolute in their commitment to thwart any attempt by Indian proxies to destabilise the peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan,' the military's media wing reiterated.

The message from the perpetrators is that they intend to keep striking at the heart of Pakistan's national cohesion. Mere condemnations and warnings will not suffice. Intelligence and rapid justice must now become the order of the day. The enemies of Pakistan — foreign and domestic are attempting to derail more than just trains when they target our collective confidence and unity. The response must be equally forceful but rooted in law, powered by will and backed by unambiguous action.

India audit watchdog to complete probe of Gensol, IndusInd Bank within six months, official says
NEW DELHI: The Financial Reporting Review Board (FRRB) will complete its probe into audit reports of Gensol Engineering and IndusInd Bank within six months, the president of the country's audit watchdog said Monday. 'The FRRB will scrutinise all audit documentation to determine if any issues exist and will submit its report within six months,' said Charanjot Singh Nanda, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Gensol Engineering is facing regulatory action amid concerns that it may have diverted business funds raised for personal purchases. India's markets regulator in April barred Gensol Engineering's founders from the securities markets, alleging that they routed company funds to related parties and used them for unrelated expenses, treating the company's funds as a 'promoters' piggybank.' Promoters in Indian markets are large shareholders who can influence company decisions. IndusInd Bank CEO quits as accounting lapse triggers management shakeup If the review finds audit reports fail to present a true and fair view, the FRRB may refer the matter to ICAI's disciplinary committee for appropriate action against auditors, Nanda told reporters in New Delhi. Separately, IndusInd Bank disclosed in March that years of incorrect accounting of internal derivative trades led to a $230 million hit to its accounts for the financial year ended March 31. An internal audit of its microfinance business found about $80 million was incorrectly recorded as interest across three quarters, which it reversed in January.

Five terrorists killed in K-P IBOs
Five Khawarij terrorists affiliated with Indian proxy outfit Fitna al Khawarij were killed in two separate engagements in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during intelligence-based operations (IBOs), the military's media wing said on Monday. According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was carried out by security forces in Peshawar District following reports of the presence of Indian-sponsored Khawarij. "During the conduct of operation, own troops skilfully surrounded and effectively engaged the Indian sponsored khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, four Indian sponsored khwarij, including Kharji Haris and Kharji Baseer, were sent to hell," the press release said. In a separate IBO in North Waziristan District, one more Kharji was neutralised in an ensuing fire exchange. Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition and explosives from the Indian-sponsored Khawarij killed in the operations. The terrorists were reportedly actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area. The ISPR added that sanitisation operations are underway to ensure no remaining Indian-sponsored Khawarij are present in the vicinity. The military reiterated its resolve to eliminate the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country. Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for their success in neutralising five terrorists of Fitna al Khawarij in the two operations in K-P. They reaffirmed the government's commitment to completely eradicate the terrorist network. "Operations against Fitna al Khawarij will continue till complete elimination of terrorism from the country," President Zardari said. PM Shehbaz said that the anti-human terrorists will have to pay a heavy price for endangering the lives and property of innocent people.
