The anime Dandadan exploded onto screens in 2024, winning fans with its chaotic blend of ghosts, aliens, and teenage antics. Now, with Season 2 set to launch on July 3, 2025, excitement is building for what's next in Momo Ayase and Ken 'Okarun' Takakura's wild journey. Adapted from Yukinobu Tatsu's manga and animated by Science SARU, this season looks ready to dial up the action and emotions. Here's a detailed look at what to expect in the new season. Release Date and Where to Watch
Dandadan Season 2 will hit screens on July 3, 2025, airing in Japan on MBS' Super Animeism TURBO slot. For global fans, the season will stream on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu, with new episodes dropping weekly on Thursdays. What's the Story This Time?
Season 2 jumps straight into the Cursed House arc, then shifts to the Evil Eye arc, with possible teases of the Kaiju arc by the end. Covering roughly manga chapters 34 to 62, and maybe touching 63 to 73, these arcs bring fresh challenges. Here's a quick, spoiler-free peek: Cursed House Arc : Momo, Okarun, and Jiji tackle a creepy house linked to Jiji's family. Think spooky talismans, ghostly encounters, and moments that reveal more about Jiji's backstory and his ties to Momo. It's a test of their courage and teamwork.
Evil Eye Arc : A sinister yokai called the Evil Eye stirs up trouble, feeding on dark emotions and possessing a human. This arc blends intense fights with heavier emotional stakes, as Momo and Okarun face both the spirit and their own feelings. Expect surprises and epic showdowns.
Kaiju Arc Hints: Promos show musical instruments and a giant figure, suggesting early Kaiju arc vibes. This could introduce high-tech gear like Nanoskin and new faces, expanding the show's bizarre universe.
The season keeps the humor and heart fans love, with Momo and Okarun's budding romance complicated by Jiji's presence, adding layers of jealousy and growth. New Faces and Foes
Get ready for some chilling villains. The Evil Eye and the Avatar of Hatred, with its eerie purple, sketch-like look, promise to raise the stakes. These threats hit hard, mixing mind games with brutal battles. New characters also shake things up, bringing energy to the crew without feeling like one-offs. They're set to leave a mark, making the group's dynamic even wilder.

Meet the Real Family That Inspired Netflix's 'The Waterfront'
Said to be a blend of Succession, Outer Banks, and Ozark, Netflix's new eight part series The Waterfront follows the Buckley family living in the fictional coastal city of Haventown, North Carolina. After becoming a prominent force in the region due to their successful fishing and restaurant businesses, the Buckleys take drastic measures to survive when hardship strikes. The dark crime thriller is actually based on real events. Below, everything we know about the story that inspired The Waterfront. The official logline is as follows: 'For decades, the Buckley family has ruled Havenport, North Carolina, dominating everything from the local fishing industry to the town's restaurant scene. But their fishing empire has started to crumble as patriarch Harlan Buckley (Holt McCallany) recovers from two heart attacks, and his wife Belle (Maria Bello) and son Cane (Jake Weary) venture into the deep end to keep the family businesses afloat. 'As their attempts spiral out of control and into treacherous waters, Harlan steps back in to take command. Facing her own demons, Buckley daughter Bree (Melissa Benoist)—an addict in recovery who's lost custody of her son Diller (Brady Hepner)—finds herself entangled in a complicated relationship that could threaten the family's future forever.' Screenwriter and series creator Kevin Williamson (known for the Scream franchise) calls The Waterfront his most personal story yet, drawing directly from his own upbringing and family's past. 'I come from a long line of fishermen,' he told Netflix's Tudum. In the interview, he revealed that due to the fishing industry's collapse in the 1980s, his father was forced into making desperate and questionable choices. 'The fishing industry sort of upturned… my dad couldn't feed his family. So, someone came along and said, 'Hey, if you do this one thing, you can make all this money.' And it was hard to say no to.' His father became a drug runner, transporting them on his boat. 'My dad—a very, very good man—got tempted to do some things that weren't so legal…it put food on the table, helped me go to college.' As for the family dynamics seen in The Waterfront, many of the characteristics of his family members echo throughout the Buckley family. 'I had my dad in my head,' Williamson said of the character Harlan. Belle Buckley, the matriarch of the family, is based on his actual mother, William revealed. 'Mine kept everything going. I got to school and graduated college because of the fire she lit under my butt.'

'It can have the best ingredients, but if I had a jam that was too runny, I'd slap a label on it and call it a spread.' 'There's no excuse for this,' Collins added. 'It should be perfect.' 9 Meghan Markle in an Instagram video. @meghan/Instagram 9 Meghan Markle making jam with her daughter, Lilibet. 'And why is she using pectin, which is a gelling agent, unless it's because her spread was too runny?' Collins asked. 'Most spreads don't use pectin.' 9 Meghan Markle's homemade jam. @heatherdorak/Instagram On Friday, Markle released her new apricot spread in an individual jar for $9 and keepsake packaging for $14. 'I don't know who's making her spread,' the jam guru continued, 'but we all know it's not Meghan. It sounds like they really don't know what they are doing.' 9 Meghan Markle cooking in her kitchen. meghan/Instagram The Post has reached out to Markle's reps for comment.
