Scooby-Doo van pet charities fundraiser ahead of sale

Now the campervan, painted to look like TV and film's Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine, is set to go up for sale.
It is hoped that as a farewell and thank you, some money can be raised in support of local animal charities.

Amanda Thomas has been looking after the van for a friend, at her home on Liverpool Road in Buckley.
The famous blue and green hippy van, featuring the Mystery Inc. gang characters, has attracted quite a lot of attention during its stay.
Amanda even had a group in full Scooby gang fancy dress on their way to a party, ask if they could take photos with the Mystery Machine.
Now Amanda is putting the van up for sale on behalf of friend and owner, Hayley Maxwell-Keys, who has had it for several years.

But before it is sold, she hopes to raise money for animal charities in the region.
In a post on social media, she said: "Scooby-Doo will soon be finding a new home, and we'll miss the joy and laughter he's brought to so many people as they pass by.
"As a fitting send-off, for those who have smiled, laughed, taken photos, made TikToks, knocked on our door for a closer look, let's spread the joy a little further.
"I'm sure local animal charities would be incredibly grateful if everyone donated a £1 or more, which we'll share between them for toys and Scooby snacks."

Amanda added: "I thought this was also a nice way to let people know it's going, and not just get rid of it one day.

Splashathon in aid of Tommy's and the Children's Alliance

Children from Water Babies classes, including Wrexham and Flint, will be showcasing their superstar swimming skills during the week of June 30 to July 6, with a Splashathon fundraiser for charities Tommy's and the Children's Alliance. Little ones will be sponsored to complete swimming challenges in pirate and sea creature fancy dress at venues across North Wales. This could fund a Tommy's research centre for eight months, investigating the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. It could also help the Children's Alliance fund key projects to make sure every child has safe and enjoyable access to water, fostering their physical development and wellbeing. Babies and children are at the heart of this special charity partnership. Amanda Holden shares daughter's common outfit criticism

Amanda Holden says there is one thing that her daughter Lexi can say about her outfit that will make her go and change immediately Amanda Holden has disclosed that a sharp five-word critique from her daughter about her style is all it takes to make her reconsider her wardrobe choice. Known for her bold outfit choices on Britain's Got Talent, Amanda's most controversial outfit reportedly drew over 600 viewer complaints to regulatory body Ofcom, reports Devon Live. ‌ The 54-year-old says there is a team of people who examine what she wears before she steps on stage. Amanda, however, insists the TV talent show is the "perfect opportunity to take risks". ‌ Despite this, she says there are moments of indecision, confessing that after her stylist presents "rails and rails" of potential outfits, she frequently chooses one, only to switch moments later. Amanda, who shares her home with her husband Chris Hughes and daughters Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 12, acknowledges that their opinions matter to her. Revealing to the Sun's TV magazine, she said: "My daughters normally love my outfits, but Lexi is quite critical, like her daddy." She shares a common exchange with them: "I'm like, 'Do you like this?' And she'll say: 'No!' But it doesn't change my mind if somebody doesn't like my outfit - if I think it's great, I'll wear it." Amanda admits there's one type of feedback from her eldest that will prompt an immediate costume change: "Though if Lexi says: 'It makes you look old' then I listen to that." Amanda is unapologetic about her desire to "always look good", asserting: "There's no way I'd step out in my pyjamas or rock up without a lash.
