Moroccan-Dutch coaches seek UEFA PRO diploma via Morocco
Moroccan former professional footballer and current Sparta assistant coach Nourdin Boukhari is working to obtain the UEFA PRO diploma through Morocco, after being deemed ineligible for the course in the Netherlands for now.
«Yes, I'm trying», Boukhari said on ESPN's Goedemorgen Eredivisie. «I've indicated to the KNVB that I want to do UEFA PRO to get my highest coaching credentials. But to qualify for that, I first have to train a team independently for one year. Only then can I do UEFA PRO with the KNVB».
With that requirement standing in his way, Boukhari is turning to the Moroccan Football Federation, which is opening its doors to Moroccan-Dutch coaches based in Europe. «The Moroccan association has indicated that they want to give Moroccan-Dutch trainers in the Netherlands the opportunity to grow as a trainer in Morocco», he said.
«They want to arrange that paper for you there. For that, you have to be in Morocco a few times, also be on the field, and then they look at the qualities that you have. They also want to come to the Netherlands a few times. And then there are a lot of online meetings», he explained.
He's not alone. Others going through the same process include Saïd Bakkati, Ali Boussaboun, Oussama Assaidi, Karim El Ahmadi, and Khalid Sinouh. «I am trying to complete that as soon as possible», Boukhari said. «But that piece of paper is only valid in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. They are working on making that diploma valid in Europe as well».

AS Roma Sets Sights on Nayef Aguerd for Key Summer Transfer
Rabat – Nayef Aguerd, the 29-year-old Moroccan central defender currently contracted to West Ham United, is entering a critical phase in his career this summer. After a strong season on loan at Real Sociedad, Aguerd has caught the attention of several major European clubs, with AS Roma leading the chase. According to multiple Italian media outlets, AS Roma has made Aguerd a top priority to strengthen their defense. The club's new sporting director, Frédéric Massara, views Aguerd as the perfect fit to bolster Roma's backline. Reports indicate that Roma has already submitted an initial offer to West Ham . However, the capital club faces stiff competition, notably from Juventus, which is reportedly in advanced talks with West Ham to secure the Moroccan international. Marseille is also interested in the defender, but the French club's preference for a loan deal, driven by financial constraints, places them at a disadvantage compared to the Italian sides ready to make a full investment. During the recent season, Aguerd featured in 36 matches across La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Europa League for Real Sociedad . Known for his physical presence as well as his ability to build play from the back, Aguerd remains a key player for Morocco's Atlas Lions, with over 55 international caps. Other clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen and Atlético Madrid have also shown interest, keeping the competition fierce. The coming weeks are expected to be decisive for Aguerd's future, as Europe's top clubs vie for the talented defender who emerged from the Mohammed VI Academy. Real Madrid vs Pachuca: When, How to Watch & Score Prediction
Rabat – Real Madrid will look to reclaim their dominance on Sunday, June 22, as they face Mexico's Pachuca at the 75.000 seat Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Kick-off is set for 8 p.m. Moroccan time (GMT+1) in what is expected to be a decisive clash in the FIFA Club World Cup Group H. After a surprising yet understandable 1-1 draw against Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal in their tournament opener, the Spanish giants are under pressure to deliver the type of performance their legacy demands. With a lineup packed with Champions League-winning talent, Real Madrid will be entering this match with nothing less than a win in mind. Meanwhile, Pachuca finds itself in deeper trouble. The Mexican side was topped by a single goal in a 2-1 defeat against RB Salzburg in their first group match and now must face a club that already defeated them 3-0 in last year's FIFA Intercontinental Cup Final. Real Madrid's current form, however, has fans and analysts divided. While their historical strength and tactical depth remain unquestioned, Xabi Alonso's side still has lingering doubts regarding Kylian Mbappé's condition as Alonso is 'unsure' about Mbappé's availability for Sunday's fixture, which could affect their offensive power. Rudiger's return from injury is an opportunity to utilize as he'll most definitely start in Sunday's match, according to Xabi. The Merengues enter the match as clear favorites. According to football experts, Real Madrid has a 70% win chance, with analysts predicting a multi-goal margin over a Pachuca team that has yet to settle under new coach Jaime Lozano. The Mexican side may be reinforced, but questions remain around their consistency and ability to withstand elite European pressure. Lozano, however, remains optimistic. In recent interviews with he emphasized that 'every match is a final' for his squad. But sentiment may not be enough against this Real Madrid team that has made lifting trophies feel like routine. Looking back at their history, Madrid has always delivered when it mattered most. They are not just playing for qualification but for redemption after their unexpected draw with Al-Hilal. For Real Madrid, Sunday night is about reasserting their place at the top. For Pachuca, it may be a night of survival. Predicted lineups: Real Madrid are likely to have a strong starting XI despite Kylian Mbappe's doubtful presence. Should he be sidelined, Rodrygo shall be expected to partner with Vinicius Jr in the attack alongside Gonzalo Garcia. Xabi Alonso is expected to start Thibaut Courtois in goal, alongside new signings Alexander Arnold and Huisjen, Asencio, and F Garcia on the defensive line. Valverde, Tchouameni, and Bellingham will run the midfield. Rodrygo, Vinicius, and G Garcia to lead the attack. Pachuca, on the other hand, are expected to go with a more conservative 4-3-3 formation, starting Moren in goal. Rodriguez, Bauermann, Pereira, and Gonzalez in defense. Montiel, Pedraza, and Palavecino in midfield. Dominguez, Rondon, and Kenedy on the frontline. Score Prediction: With Real Madrid's experience, tactical edge, and the psychological advantage from past victories, a clean win feels not only possible, but inevitable. Pachuca will have to dig deep to avoid a repeat of last year's shutout. MWN is expecting a comfortable 2-0 win for Los Blancos. Tags: Barcelona vs Real Madrid
