Marvel's ‘Vision' Lands ‘Schitt's Creek' Star Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.
Vision may have met his match.
Marvel Studios' spin-off series about Vision has landed 'Schitt's Creek' star Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., the Stark Industries artificial intelligence introduced in 2019's 'Spider-Man: Far From Home.' She joins Paul Bettany, who is reprising his role as the now-reincarnated synthezoid character (who is the physical manifestation of another Stark Industries AI, Jarvis).

In 'Far From Home,' E.D.I.T.H. is introduced as a gift that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) bequeaths to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) after Stark sacrifices his life in 'Avengers: Endgame.' (The name stands for 'Even Dead, I'm The Hero.') Peter controls E.D.I.T.H. through a pair of high-tech sunglasses, which he unwittingly gives to the film's villain, Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), before retrieving them at the end of the movie. The glasses are confiscated after Peter's identity as Spider-Man is revealed to world, and E.D.I.T.H.'s ultimate fate is left unresolved.
It's unclear whether Hampshire is just lending her voice to the role or will be embodying it as well, but the character will be one of several AI to populate the series. James Spader is reprising his role as Ultron, the villain from 2015's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron,' and T'Nia Miller ('The Diplomat') is playing Jocasta, another robotic character from the Marvel Comics. Other co-stars include Todd Stashwick ('Star Trek: Picard') and Ruaridh Mollica ('Ridley').

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio went from the barrio to the Billboard charts, becoming one of the first Latin artists to sell out stadiums around the world, even breaking the record for most tickets ever sold in Spain (he's set to perform 12 shows there on his upcoming tour). In a June 18 interview with Variety, the Puerto Rican superstar spoke to his work ethic as a music artist and celebrity. When his comments went viral, the fans were eating it up just as much as his boricua beats. In the interview, discussing his upcoming residency and tour surrounding his sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Benito got real about what's expected of him as he embarks on one of the biggest tours of his career. "At times, I do think, cabrón, what I'm signing up for is a lot," he said. For context, Benito is set to perform a 30-night residency at the Colseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, not too far from where he grew up from July 11 to Sept. 14, and then he's going on a 56-date world stadium tour from November 2025 to July 2026. Basically, he's booked and busy. "But the way I see it, I'm not a doctor; I'm not a teacher; I'm not someone who has to wake up every morning at 5 a.m. to lay down concrete on a busy road to survive," Benito continued. "My job is to fucking sing, and even though it comes with its own set of sacrifices, it feels silly to complain about it." When Benito's comments on the pressure of fame started to make their rounds on the internet, like in this Reddit thread, a lot of people had something to say about it, many praising the three-time Grammy winner for his honesty. Jon Bernthal reported to join Tom Holland in upcoming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'
Jon Bernthal could be set to return as the Punisher in "Spider‑Man: Brand New Day," the next installment in the Sony/Marvel Spider‑Man franchise, according to " The Hollywood Reporter." Directed by Shang‑Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is scheduled to begin production in England this summer and is set for release on July 31, 2026, Sony announced via Instagram back in March. Bernthal previously portrayed Frank Castle in Netflix's "Daredevil and The Punisher," later reprising the role in "Daredevil: Born Again" on Disney+. While details remain under wraps, it is reported that the movie picks up after the events of "Spider‑Man: No Way Home," where the world's memory of Peter Parker's identity as Spider‑Man was erased. Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon expected to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned. The extent of their involvement has not been confirmed. Russell Crowe confirms 'Highlander' casting
June 21 (UPI) -- Oscar-winning Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind and Thor: Love and Thunder star Russell Crowe has joined the ensemble of the new remake of the classic 1986 fantasy film, Highlander. "Yes... it's true... I shall be returning to the highlands... with a sword... it has been a few centuries..." there can be only one," Crowe wrote on X Saturday. The actor's post included a link to a Variety report about the casting news. Crowe will play the mentor to Henry Cavill's Scottish title character in the film about immortal warriors. The movie is being directed by Chad Stahelski and is expected to be released theatrically in 2026. Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery starred in the original.
