"When does your deal with LIV expire and have you thought beyond what your professional life would be after your LIV career?" DeChambeau was asked.

"Next year is when it ends...We're looking to renegotiate, end of this year, and I'm very excited. They see the value in me. I see the value in what they can provide," DeChambeau said.
"And I believe we'll come to some sort of resolution on that, and, super excited for the future. I think that LIV's not going anywhere," he added, calling LIV a "viable option" going forward.
"We're starting to grow and move in the right direction," DeChambeau added.
"I know my worth, I know what LIV brings to the table, and I'm excited for the future of what golf is gonna be."
DeChambeau reportedly signed a $100-plus million deal with LIV in June 2022.

Caitlin Clark Assigns Blame After Fever's Loss to Valkyries

Caitlin Clark Assigns Blame After Fever's Loss to Valkyries originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Caitlin Clark had a forgettable outing on Thrusday night as the Indiana Fever suffered a disappointing 88-77 loss to the Golden State Valkyries. Advertisement The Fever star was held to just 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting, to go along with seven rebounds, nine assists, a steal and, for just the second time in her WNBA career, zero three-pointers. Clark also committed a team-high six turnovers in this one, which is one of the main issues the 23-year-old emphasized during her postgame press conference. 'I think we get these leads, we get up 10, we get up 12, and I thought that's where we really grew versus [the Connecticut Sun], we really took a step forward and kept our foot on the gas and built out our lead and got it up to 20,' Clark said, via Chloe Peterson of IndyStar. 'I thought we were kind of in the phase of not (giving up those leads) anymore. And then we got our lead to 12 (against the Valkyries), and then we kind of go on a stretch of turning the ball over… We got to be able to grow in that area.' Mandatory Credit: Darren Yamashita-Imagn Images As Clark said in her statement, it was Indiana's inability to take care of their lead that led to their downfall against Golden State. According to the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year, this was brought about by the turnovers they committed, particularly during crucial stretches in the game. Advertisement The Fever entered the fourth quarter with a 59-55 lead, and it looked like they were primed to take their third straight win. The Valkyries, however, came out firing in the fourth, and ended up outscoring Indiana, 33-18, in the final frame. The silver lining here is that Clark and the Fever are well aware of the main issue that led to their loss on Thursday, which means that this is an area that they can focus on and improve at in their next games. Pittsburgh-area businesses largely satisfied with boost that came from U.S. Open

Pittsburgh-area businesses largely satisfied with boost that came from U.S. Open Pittsburgh-area businesses largely satisfied with boost that came from U.S. Open Pittsburgh-area businesses largely satisfied with boost that came from U.S. Open The U.S. Open has come and gone. There was a promise of big business for stores and shops in Oakmont and the surrounding area, with hundreds of thousands of people coming to see the golf championship. Things are back to normal for Somma Pizza and Sports Bar across the street from the Oakmont Country Club, a packed house on a Friday night. "We had a lot of traffic from across the street because we are right here. We did a lot of big parties," owner Susan Somma said about business during the U.S. Open. Regulars didn't show up as much with the anticipated traffic surrounding the area. It didn't matter, as Somma saw more business than usual, up about 30%. "Wonderful. Everyone was so nice," Somma said. Further down the hill and into Verona, Inner Groove Brewing did well. Owners said they were anticipating more. During the day, it wasn't as busy when people were at the course. "They were in early or a little bit later, but not during the day," Inner Grover owner Kelly Melle said. Thousands of people were bused in and out to alleviate traffic, but it drove them past businesses without stopping in. Word on the street within the business community was that it wasn't a bad week, but it didn't necessarily meet what they hoped for. "I don't want to say disappointed. We were hoping for a little bit more. I think because you couldn't leave the Open, that was a big difference," Melle said. With all that said, these business owners want to see the Open come back. It was the talk of the town and gave people a chance to see the area. "This is a prestigious thing that happened right in our backyard. Everything we did, we enjoyed," Somma said. There is hope to change some things, like letting people leave the country club and be able to re-enter. "So that they can come and shop and maybe follow people they like, golfing during the day or evening, have a break to come into town," Melle said. In 2016, the estimated economic impact across the Pittsburgh region for the U.S. Open was $220 million. It's believed to be close to that again for this year.

Paige Bueckers Gets Technical Foul Against Connecticut Sun

Paige Bueckers Gets Technical Foul Against Connecticut Sun originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Dallas Wings faced off against the Connecticut Sun, looking to climb outside of the bottom of the WNBA standings. Advertisement Dallas entered a game against the Sun as the No. 13 ranked team in the WNBA with a 2-11 record. Despite the rough start, the Wings had a chance to spark a win streak, coming off a win over the Golden State Valkyries. On Friday, as the Wings and Sun were matching up in Connecticut, things got slightly out of hand for rookie Paige Bueckers. The young star for Dallas picked up the first technical foul of her career. Bueckers pulled for a midrange shot on the baseline. Just after sinking in the shot, she turned to the referee and clapped, with the announcer mentioning that the rookie thought she got fouled during the play. The referee was quick to temporarily stop the game. He turned to the scorers table and gave Bueckers a technical foul, marking the first technical foul of her young career. Paige Bueckers was drafted by the Dallas Wings with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft. After four years at UConn, Bueckers was viewed as an immediate contributor for the Wings.
