
Yoga performed at Kondapalli fort
Vijayawada: As part of the Yogandhra, the NTR district administration on Saturday conducted Yoga programm on Kondapalli Khilla. The NTR district collector G Lakshmisha led the Yoga and several hundred local people enthusiastically participated in the Yoga camapign. Joint Collector S Ilakkiya, APNGOs Association state president A Vidya Sagar and others participated.
Addressing on the occasion, collector Lakshmisha said the Yogandhra campaign launched on May 21 and would continue till June 21 the International Yoga Day. He said so far Yoga programmes organised at Gandhi Hill, Berm park and other places and on Saturday at Kondapalli Port. He said Yoga is good for health and it helps people live happily.
Joint Collector Ilakkiya has suggested the people to cultivate tha habit of Yoga and spend some time every day for it.

Hindupur: 'Focuson your breath and practice yoga daily to attain complete health,' urged Sri Sathya Sai District Collector TS Chetan, speaking at the Yogandhra programme held at MGM Grounds in Hindupur as part of the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations. The event saw participation from SP Ratna, Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, yoga gurus, and numerous public representatives and citizens. Addressing the gathering, he said that International Yoga Day, celebrated globally on June 21, is a source of pride for both India and the world. He described yoga not just as a symbol of Indian heritage but as a pathway to physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. He encouraged everyone to integrate yoga into their daily routine, highlighting that even 30 minutes of daily yoga at home could enhance physical health and mental peace. He praised the youth and the public for their enthusiastic participation and noted that such interest would spread awareness about health and well-being. 'A society that practices yoga every day will be a healthy society,' he remarked. The State Government has been actively promoting yoga awareness through the month-long Yogandhra Mahotsavam, conducted from May 21 to June 21, across Dharmavaram, Kadiri, Penukonda, Lepakshi,and other locations with theme-based yoga sessions. These were organised in collaboration with the AYUSH and Health Departments, reaching from district-level centers to rural areas. He thanked everyone involved in making the month-long celebrations a grand success. As part of the International Yoga Day celebrations, certificates and mementos were awarded to district and state-level winners of yoga competitions by the Collector. Dignitaries and participants also took part in the Swachh Andhra – Swarna Andhra initiative by planting saplings. The event witnessed large participation from local leaders and officials, including Puttaparthi MLA Palle Sindhura Reddy, former Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy, Municipal Chairman Ramesh, Penukonda RDO Anand Kumar, DMHO Fairoza Begum, Municipal Commissioner Mallikharjuna, TDP District President Vadde Anjanappa, as well as students, yoga instructors, and the general public.

People asked to make yoga a practice in daily life
Nandyal: As part of the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations, District Collector G Rajakumari emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for better physical and mental well-being. A grand district-level 'Yogandhra' event was held at Tekke Market Yard in Nandyal on Saturday. The event was marked by widespread participation, with officials and citizens joining in synchrony with the national event broadcast live from Visakhapatnam, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu led the proceedings. The Collector, along with MLC Ishaq Basha, District SP Adhiraj Singh Rana, Joint Collector C Vishnucharan, former minister Erasu Prathap Reddy, district officials, public representatives, students, and the general public—totaling over 5,500 participants—performed yoga asanas as per the national protocol. She noted that the State Government's flagship initiative 'Yogandhra' had been actively implemented from May 21 to June 21, during which a variety of yoga-related activities were conducted across 5,500 locations, engaging more than 9 lakh people throughout the district. She extended her gratitude to all participants and acknowledged the role of yoga organisations such as Patanjali, Ramachandra Mission, and Yoga Chaitanya Mandali in providing training at village and mandal levels. She commended the efforts of master trainers, health departments, municipal bodies, and Ayush officials for their consistent work in promoting yoga over the past month. She reiterated that the primary goal of both Central and State Governments is to encourage enthusiastic participation in yoga and build a healthier society. She said the government's vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into a 'Healthy and Wealthy' state is being implemented actively by the district administration. She thanked public representatives, media personnel, and the public for their immense cooperation in making the Yogandhra initiative a success. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to yoga instructors during the event, which was attended by key officials including DM&HO Dr Venkataramana, Municipal Commissioner Seshanna, Ayush Medical Officer Dr Yashodhara, RDO Viswanath, and several others.

Yogandhra prog held at KADA
Kuppam: The Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA) successfully organised a grand public yoga event titled 'Yogandhra' here on Saturday at NTR Sports Complex. The event witnessed the participation of over 5,000 people at the main venue. Citizens from all walks of life actively took part in the session, promoting awareness on the importance of yoga and a healthy lifestyle.
