Chaos at IKEA as customers including children in creche evacuated from store
Customers at IKEA Warrington were today rushed from the store after the alarm sounded.
In a dramatic moment people in the building evacuated out, prompting speculation about what had happened.
One eyewitness recalled how children in the store's creche were also evacuated out into the car park.

"It's just been evacuated," they said. "They came on the tannoy saying 'everyone please evacuate immediately, there's been a technical issue'.
"All the children have been evacuated from the creche into the car park."
IKEA confirmed that people had been evacuated from the building after an alarm was triggered.
They said that the "call point" was triggered accidentally by a customer.
Customers were allowed back into the store after around ten minutes.
A spokesperson for IKEA said in a statement: 'Earlier today, a call point was accidentally triggered by a customer which caused the store to be evacuated for approximately ten minutes.
"We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation, and apologise for the inconvenience caused.'
The Manchester Evening News contacted Cheshire Constabulary, who confirmed that they were not called out to the incident.

Due to a production error, identified after an internal investigation, IKEA is recalling the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL Garlic press, black, with date stamps from 2411 (YYWW) to 2522 (YYWW). There is a risk of small metal pieces detaching during use and subsequently being ingested with food.
