MCVITIES has rolled out a new flavour of Jaffa Cakes and shoppers are divided.
The brand has launched plenty of alternatives to the classic orange over the years, but this one has been accused of taking the biscuit.

Jaffa Cakes have a brand new flavour and it's caused a stir
Jaffa Cakes have jumped on the Hot Honey trend and have unveiled the first-ever 'swicy' flavour.
In case you are not yet familiar with the term, 'swicy' is used to describe foods that are both sweet and spicy.
The new flavour combines the sweetness of honey with a chilli kick, which is sandwiched between the signature crackly dark chocolate and the famous sponge cake.
The controversial hot cakes are exclusively on sale at Asda stores nationwide for £1.50 for a box of 10.

They will be rolled out to other retailers from the end of July.
Over on Facebook, the Hot Honey snacks have caused a stir, and some fans have bees in their bonnets.
"I love Hot Honey and I love Jaffa Cakes but I think this will be a miss," one wrote.
"Not a chance mate," added another.

One person suggested: "They will do everything but not a white chocolate Jaffa Cake."
But not everyone was against the latest addition.

"I am definitely intrigued," a Facebook user wrote.
"Oh might have to try these," agreed a second, while another echoed: "That sounds like an acquired taste."
On Dansway Gifts and Bargain UK's Facebook post, followers tagged friends to share the news.
Some added heart-eye emojis to the comment section.
Jessica Woolfrey, Marketing Manager for Jaffa Cakes, says: 'At Jaffa Cakes, we're known for doing things a little differently.
"As the only cake in the biscuit aisle, it makes sense that our newest flavour brings an unexpected twist.
"We're super excited to introduce Hot Honey Flavour to the Jaffa Cakes family - tapping into the viral 'swicy' trend with a perfectly balanced sweet-meets-heat flavour.'
Last year, the brand unveiled another unusual flavour based on retro childhood sweets.
The Cola bottle flavour was the first ever non-fruit flavour since the first Jaffa Cake was made in 1927.
It had a similar response from snackers, who either loved or hated them.
McVities has also rolled out raspberry and cherry flavours - which have both gone down well with customers.

Gay GAA star admits nerves at football return after 'coming out' on podcast

Gay football star Kevin Penrose has opened up about his nerves returning to the sport after launching his podcast. The Tyrone player admitted he felt like he had to 'come out' all over again when he did his GAA Social podcast earlier this year. Kevin had told his family, friends and team-mates in 2022. He said of going back to playing: 'I remember the first match back… I thought, OK, the majority of these lads have most likely listened to this podcast in the past couple of weeks and I know they know. 'So I felt nervous walking across the pitch and in the changing rooms, you get that bit of paranoia. 'But everything was grand. You meet different lads at the changing room doors, they'd shake your hand and say well done. 'It brings you back, you just don't know what to expect.' Since launching his own podcast, the GAA Social, the travel influencer, 31, said it has helped many people feel comfortable with their sexuality. He added: 'Even to this day... like the podcast was how many months ago. 'I came out three years ago, but the podcast felt like I was coming out again but to a much larger audience and really honing in on that GAA demographic, which is teenagers to 60 plus year olds. 'People even come up to me in person and shake my hand…it's hard to know what to say to them in those moments because every journey is different but I'm glad they're finding some sort of comfort in it that they can see there is so much goodness and joy on the other side. 'I was guilty of it myself. I keep thinking that everything would go wrong in my life and you never stop to think that everything could go right so I'm glad that people have taken something from it.' But he said he found it hard reading the negative comments about his sexuality. He added: 'It was more like on Facebook. The comments were completely different to what I'd see on Instagram. 'Again, Facebook is a different demographic and they're older. 'I think people were just saying again, 'Why is this guy making a song and dance about coming out?' Pride month for example, like asking 'why do we need Pride month?' You're sort of answering your own question with your ignorance because this is exactly why we need it. 'I've been very lucky I haven't experienced anything negative. 'The likes of people on Facebook probably didn't even listen to the podcast, they just see the headline.' Kevin was speaking at the launch of SuperValu's new limited-edition Pride themed Bag for Life. Available this month in SuperValu stores across the country, the bold and bright rainbow tote is set to be the must-have bag of the summer and is available to purchase for €3. Profits will go to Belong To – LGBTQ+ Youth Ireland, the national LGBTQ+ youth organisation. Kevin said: 'I am delighted to team up with SuperValu for this important campaign supporting the incredible work of Belong To. As someone who has been through the journey of coming out within the GAA community, I'm incredibly passionate about allyship, and inclusion both on and off the pitch. 'By buying one of these bags and 'Carrying it with Pride', you are sending a powerful message that no matter who you are, you belong. 'I hope a campaign like this not only gives people the courage to be themselves but also reminds everyone to stand up and be proud allies for the LGBTQ+ community.'

What we know about Ryan Tubridy's fiancée's conflict-free engagement ring

Ryan Tubridy's lab-grown engagement ring is understood to have set the broadcaster back the very sweet price of €3,750, has learned. Smitten radio presenter Tubridy popped the question to his now fiancée, Clare Kambamettu, in her hometown of Clifden in Galway, presenting her with a ring he purchased from a local artisan jewellery shop. In a now-deleted Facebook post, O'Dailigh Jewellers of Clifden provided a detailed description of the ring, saying Tubridy himself was involved in the design process. Pic:O'Dailigh described the bespoke ring, writing that Tubridy chose 'a stunning 2.4 carat diamond ring which has a beautiful balance between a modern and old elegant style. The centre diamond is a 2-carat emerald cut with two tapered diamond baguettes on either side.' Now celebrity engagement ring specialist, Seamus Fahy of Voltaire Diamonds, who is considered one of the foremost experts in lab-grown diamonds, told that Tubridy's conflict-free rock could have set him back a relatively reasonable €3,750. 'Going off that description, the ring would have cost around €3,750,' said Mr Fahy. Dr Clare Kambamettu and Ryan Tubridy. Pic: RTÉ 'Lab-grown rings are significantly less expensive; you're looking at about a quarter of the price of mined diamonds, so it really brings the cost down.' Tubridy is, of course, famously aware of the environment, having ditched his car for a nifty scooter to run around town many years ago. Tubridy and Galway-born psychologist Ms Kambamettu have been dating for over four years now. Clare Kambamettu and Ryan Tubridy. Pic:for The Irish Post The Irish Mail on Sunday was the first to reveal that Tubridy and Ms Kambamettu had begun a relationship after meeting while she was a guest on his former RTE radio show. Now, years on, and with Tubridy landing a new gig on Virgin radio in the UK, he has given Ms Kambamettu a forever rock in the form of a specially designed engagement ring. On Monday, O'Dalaigh Jewellers in Clifden scooped Tubridy's big news, revealing on their business Facebook page that he had bought the ring for a 'very special lady'. The post was accompanied by a photo of the jeweller, Tubridy and Kambamettu posing together outside the store. Speaking on his radio show, the presenter said that he had some news to share 'that I was kind of keeping a little bit to myself and to ourselves'. He said that while he likes to remain private, 'the cat has been removed from the bag for a number of different reasons'. 'I'm very, very, very happy to confirm that I did indeed get engaged to my partner Clare on Thursday evening in the west of Ireland, and it is a very beautiful feeling.' Tubridy said he had 'got a beautiful ring organised and the weather was gorgeous'.
