Orlando Bloom Was 'Frustrated' With Katy Perry's Space Trip As He Allegedly Didn't 'Approve' Of It Amid Tensions

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were reportedly not on the same page regarding her recent all-female trip to space.
This revelation comes amid reports suggesting the couple is going through a rough patch in their relationship.
Sources now claim Orlando Bloom "did not approve" of the trip and was "frustrated" and "disappointed" by Katy Perry's decision to embark on it regardless.
Several cracks seem to have formed in Perry and Bloom's romance amid reports that their relationship has ended.
Following her 11-minute all-female space trip on Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin spacecraft, Perry gushed in a radio interview that her fiancé, Bloom, was "all about the journey."
However, a source has now revealed that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor "did not approve" of it as he never thought "going on the mission was a good idea."
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, the insider went further to explain that Bloom "knew she would get backlash" from the mission and was "frustrated" and "disappointed" with her decision to take part in it.
"From day one, Orlando didn't think going on the Blue Origin mission was a good idea, and knew she would face backlash," the source said. "He always thought it was a stupid idea, and she wouldn't get anything positive out of it."
The "Roar" hitmaker joined the all-female crew comprising Aisha Bowe, Lauren Sanchez, Kerianne Flynn, Gayle King, and Amanda Nguyen for the April 15 flight despite her fiancé's alleged reservations.
While en route, she held up a daisy seemingly in a bid to honor her and Bloom's daughter, Daisy. Upon her return, she stopped to kiss the ground, but was ridiculed by many who thought the trip was "unnecessary" and her actions afterwards were "dramatic."
Even celebrities, such as Emily Ratajkowski and Olivia Munn, didn't hold back with their criticisms of the all-female space trip.
"That space mission this morning. That's end time sh-t. This is beyond parody," Ratajkowski fumed. "Saying that you care about Mother Earth and it's about Mother Earth and you're going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that's single-handedly destroying the planet?"
"Look at the state of the world and think about how many resources went into putting these women into space. For what? What was the marketing there?" She added.
It appears Bloom has reached his breaking point amid the underlying tensions in his relationship, with a source sharing that the actor needs space from Perry.
The disagreements between them are said to have made the "Lord of the Rings" actor believe Perry "doesn't take him seriously."
"He has been frustrated that his opinion is not being taken seriously or even heard," the source continued. "He feels she is a different person lately."
According to the news outlet, the insider also confirmed rumors that the pair have hit a "rough patch" in their relationship and are now leading separate lives.
The 48-year-old actor has repeatedly been spending time alone and arrived without Perry at the "Deep Cover" premiere during the 2025 Tribeca Festival on June 10 in New York City.
The negative and harsh criticism Perry has been facing seemingly took a toll on her and their relationship, as a source told Page Six that "it's over" between them and they "are waiting till her tour is over before they split."
The underwhelming reception of her recent album, "143," also didn't help matters, as the project was critically panned, which seemingly resulted in low ticket sales at some of her tour's venues.
A source told People Magazine that the poor reception to her album negatively affected her and caused "some tension" in her relationship with Bloom.
"Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album," a source told the news outlet. "It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension."
"She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship," another source said.
Perry is currently on her Lifetimes world tour, which began on April 23 and runs through December 7.
Perry and Bloom's relationship has faced challenging times before, following their split in 2017.
Addressing the breakup in a 2024 appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, the "Teenage Dreams" singer said both of them "weren't really in it from day one."
"He was because he had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions," Perry continued. "I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was like, I can't do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond, but I had to do a lot of real work."
In 2023, Bloom also addressed the challenges he and Perry faced in their relationship, insinuating that their different career paths could be a factor in the issues they have encountered.
"We're in two very different pools [for their work]. Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands," Bloom told Flaunt.
The "Lord Of The Rings" actor continued: "Sometimes things are really, really, really challenging. I won't lie. We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity."
"I think we're both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did. And there's definitely never a dull moment," he added.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have lunch in Florida. Could an Aerosmith reunion be next?

It was just another sunny day on Florida's west coast — until two rock legends showed up for lunch. Singer Steven Tyler, 77, and guitarist Joe Perry, 74, of Aerosmith were spotted grabbing a bite and posing for a photo together at Morton's Gourmet Market, a longtime specialty food store in Sarasota. The market opened in 1969 — just a year before Aerosmith launched the career that would eventually land the band in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. In the photo shared by Morton's on social media, Tyler — wearing a sheer black shirt, patterned pants, layered necklaces, and holding a Morton's bag — stands smiling next to two employees in branded black shirts. To their right is Perry, in a burgundy button-down shirt, ripped jeans, beaded jewelry, and his signature wild hair, completing a snapshot that must have delighted fans and likely surprised a few unsuspecting shoppers. Why did Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith visit Morton's in Florida? A manager for Morton's — which opened more than half a century ago when Ted Morton purchased Marable's Market — could not be immediately reached for comment. However, the gourmet grocery store revealed on social media that the rock stars, once known as the 'Toxic Twins,' dropped in for a bite to eat. 'Never a dull moment at the market!' Morton's posted on Thursday, June 19. 'Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith dropped by for lunch. Awesome guys!' Of course, Sarasota has deep ties to Aerosmith, with Perry owning a home on Longboat Key. But appearances by the guitar hero remain rare — especially ones where he's accompanied by his longtime lead singer and songwriting partner, a duo responsible for such classic rock anthems as the Aerosmith hits 'Walk This Way,' 'Same Old Song and Dance,' and 'Back in the Saddle.' Could an Aerosmith reunion be happening? Aerosmith retired from touring last year after Tyler suffered a vocal cord injury. But Perry is preparing to get back on stage with his namesake group — and some familiar faces are joining him. The Joe Perry Project's eight-date run kicks off Aug. 13 at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center and features fellow Aerosmith members Brad Whitford and Buck Johnson, along with Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes and Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz of Stone Temple Pilots. Could Tyler make a surprise appearance? The Sarasota sighting certainly fuels the speculation. Perry's publicist did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Matthew Perry's Ketamine Death: Second Doctor Agrees to Plead Guilty

The 'lead' doctor charged in connection with Matthew Perry's 2023 ketamine overdose death has accepted a plea deal, prosecutors announced Monday. Dr. Salvador Plasencia has agreed to plead guilty to four counts of distribution of ketamine, a spokesperson with the Central District of California said. The charges carry a statutory maximum sentence of 40 years in federal prison. More from Rolling Stone 'Will Sean Combs Testify?' and Other Burning Questions We Still Have Judge Dismisses Sean Combs Juror Over Inconsistent Statements Sean Combs Trial: Possible Juror Dismissal and Mogul's 'Threatening' Voice Notes Plasencia, 43, is expected to appear in court in the coming weeks to formally enter his guilty plea. He was arrested last August alongside Jasveen Sangha, the woman described by prosecutors as the 'Ketamine Queen' of North Hollywood. When federal officials first unsealed their 18-count indictment last year, they identified Plasencia and Sangha as the 'lead defendants' in the case. They said three other defendants already had agreed to deals in exchange for their cooperation. The other three were identified as Perry's live-in assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, Dr. Mark Chavez (another physician), and Erik Fleming, a local man who allegedly acted as a go-between for Sangha in ketamine sales to Perry. '[Plasencia] essentially acted as a street-corner drug dealer peddling a dangerous substance to somebody he knew was addicted,' Assistant U.S. Attorney Ian Yanniello said last year at Plasencia's arraignment in downtown Los Angeles. 'He commented to another patient that the victim was spiraling out of control, yet he still offered to sell [Perry] more ketamine.' In his plea deal agreement signed June 13, Plasencia admitted he once injected Perry with ketamine while the actor was in the backseat of a car parked outside the Long Beach Aquarium in Long Beach, California. He also admitted he visited Perry's house on Oct. 12, 2023, administered ketamine, and then watched as Perry's 'blood pressure spiked,' causing the actor to 'freeze up.' 'Not withstanding victim M.P.'s reaction, defendant left additional vials of ketamine with defendant Iwamasa, knowing that defendant Iwamasa would inject the ketamine into victim M.P.,' the plea agreement stated. Plasencia pleaded not guilty at his arraignment last year and was released on bond. His lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday. Sangha, 42, was remanded into custody and is awaiting a trial set to begin in August. Prosecutors argued last August that she was a flight risk due to her British citizenship and because she allegedly returned to selling ketamine after both Perry's death and the death of another man in 2019 that purportedly was linked to ketamine she supplied. Perry, an actor best-known for playing Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom Friends, died on Oct. 28, 2023, at the age of 54 from the acute effects of ketamine, his autopsy determined. He was found face down in a hot tub at his home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. Officials said Perry 'became addicted' to intravenous ketamine while seeking treatment for depression and anxiety at a local clinic in fall 2023. They said Perry turned to the four suppliers charged in the case when the clinic refused to increase his dosage. According to prosecutors, Plasencia and Chavez distributed about 20 vials of liquid ketamine to Perry in exchange for $55,000 cash during the last few weeks of the actor's life. The doctors charged Perry $2,000 for a single vial that cost Chavez approximately $12, officials said. 'I wonder how much this moron will pay?…[Let's] find out,' Plasencia allegedly texted Chavez on Sept. 30, 2023, according to the indictment. Later that day, Plasencia injected Perry with ketamine at the actor's house and left vials behind for Iwamasa to administer to Perry even though the assistant had no medical training, the filing stated. After the meeting, Plasencia allegedly texted Chavez that the interaction was 'like a bad movie.' Chavez is due to be sentenced on Sept. 17. Fleming has his sentencing scheduled for Nov. 12, while Iwamasa has his sentencing set for Nov. 19. Kanye West Raises Eyebrows As He Storms Diddy's Trial Months After Begging For His Release

Kanye West has made an unannounced appearance at the high-profile sex crime trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs. Dressed in an eye-catching all-white outfit, the rapper's dramatic entrance raised more than a few eyebrows and left many wondering what his motive was behind the appearance. Following Kanye West's arrival, he interacted with fans for a bit before being met at the entrance of the courthouse by Diddy's son, Christian Combs. After days of speculation that Kanye West had been in contact with Diddy's family about possibly attending the embattled rapper's trial, the rumors were put to rest when the Yeezy founder made a dramatic entrance at the courthouse during today's hearing. According to The U.S. Sun, West pulled up around 11:20 a.m. in a blacked-out Maybach, accompanied only by his personal security team. He dressed in a striking all-white ensemble that starkly contrasted with his sleek ride and completed the look with dark sunglasses that shielded his eyes. As he made his way into the courthouse, West briefly interacted with a few bystanders, exchanging handshakes while paparazzi cameras flashed in rapid fire around him. At the steps of the courthouse, West was met by Diddy's son, Christian Combs. The two exchanged a hug for a moment before Christian led the "Donda" crooner into the building. As to why the rapper made the appearance, he said "yes" when a media outlet asked if he was there to support Diddy. He is said to have spent nearly an hour in the building but never actually entered the room where the trial is being held, according to NBC News. Prior to the start of Diddy's trial, West showed support for his music colleague by calling on President Donald Trump to pardon him. "PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF," the Yeezy CEO wrote in a tweet on X while tagging Trump. In a separate tweet, he slammed his industry colleagues for not showing support for the embattled rapper. "ALL THESE CELEBRITY N-GGAS AND B-TCHES IS P-SSY Y'ALL WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY SH-T," West stated. In yet another tweet, West suggested that Diddy had been witch-hunted by the authorities. "THEY TRYNA PROVE A POINT AND YALL KNOW THAT YALL F-CKING KNOW THAT AND SITTING LAUGHING AT THE F-CKING INTERNET ON INSTAGRAM THIS MAN GAVE HIS LIFE TO US THIS MY IDOL THIS MY HERO," West remarked. Before he attended Diddy's trial, West had a video phone call with the embattled music mogul, obtained by The Shade Room. On their call, Diddy encouraged the Yeezy founder to "get behind the mic." "When I get out there, man, I want to see you f-cking tear down the stadiums. I need to see you back on that stage, f-cking actually rapping and f-cking performing and everything. I be dreaming of that sh-t," Diddy told West. It remains unclear when the conversation between them happened, but Diddy seemingly made sure to warn West to stay out of trouble as he attempted to describe what prison life looks like. "Tell you real from the front line. This sh-t is wicked, wicked, wicked, so you be careful," Diddy said. "You can't do nothing for just... I need you out there, you hear me?" "I hear you, yes, sir," West answered. The rapper's trial, which began last month, is expected to last around eight weeks. He is facing two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and one count of racketeering. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges and reportedly rejected a plea deal ahead of the trial. Amid the trial, several witnesses have testified on behalf of the prosecutors, including Diddy's ex-girlfriend Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura. She testified to participating in the rapper's "freak-offs" and being blackmailed by him in instances when she refused his requests. If Diddy is ultimately convicted of all the charges, the rapper potentially faces life in prison.
