"Exercise Shakti 2025 fostering joint training interoperability between India and France": French Army
New Delhi [India], June 19 (ANI): The 13 DBLE (Demi-Brigade of Foreign Legion) is organising the bilateral exercise Shakti 25 alongside the Indian Army.
The Army said that the exercise will foster synergy and interoperability in conduct of counter terrorism operations in semi urban terrain.
In a post on X, Colonel Benjamin Brunet, 52nd Corps Commander, said, 'The 13 DBLE is organizing the bilateral exercise SHAKTI 25 alongside the Indian Army. This joint training strengthens interoperability, knowledge sharing and cooperation between our two nations.'

The Indian Army said, 'Exercise Shakti 2025: The Indian Army contingent has departed today to France to participate in the 8th edition of Exercise Shakti, taking place in La Cavalerie, France, from 18 June to 01 July 2025. The Exercise will foster synergy and interoperability in conduct of counter terrorism operations in semi urban terrain.'

According to a release by the Ministry of Defence, the contingent, primarily from the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles along with members from other arms and services, are participating in the exercise, scheduled from June 18 to July 1, at Camp Larzac, La Cavalerie, France.
Meanwhile, the French contingent, also consisting of 90 personnel, will be represented by the 13th Foreign Legion Half-Brigade (13th DBLE).
The exercise aims to enhance interoperability and strengthen strategic ties between the two nations.
As per the release, the exercise will highlight the growing defence cooperation between India and France.
Exercise 'Shakti', a biennial training engagement, focuses on joint operations in a sub-conventional environment under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, with training conducted in semi-urban terrain.
The exercise will serve as a platform for both armies to rehearse and refine tactical drills, share best practices in Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and train on new generation equipment, including contemporary military technologies.
It will also foster physical endurance, esprit de corps, mutual respect, and professional camaraderie between the two forces. This edition of 'Shakti' underscores the deepening military-to-military connection and operational coordination between India and France, aligning with their broader strategic partnership. (ANI)

Agra: ASI waives off entry fee for Taj Mahal on International Yoga Day

While addressing the public, Yogi Adityanath said, 'Today, Yoga Day is being celebrated in Gorakhpur. This program is happening not just here, but across the country and the world. In Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is spreading the message of yoga. New Delhi [India], June 21 (ANI): RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha on Saturday stated that Parliament must speak in a collective voice on the Pakistani government nominating US President Donald Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. Jha further stated that Rajnath Singh was one of the veteran leaders who did not harbour enmity towards the Opposition, unlike the newer ones. 'We've even heard that a neighbouring country is officially endorsing him (US President) and pushing for the Nobel Prize... From that perspective, Parliament must speak in one collective voice, and we need to see what Rajnath Singh can do to make that happen. We believe that Rajnath Singh is one of those veteran leaders who do not harbour enmity towards the Opposition, unlike the newer ones. Come to Parliament and send a unified message to the American President under the leadership of the Prime Minister,' Jha told ANI. 'The way our civilians were killed -- that collective pain has now become the nation's pain. However, many questions remain. Donald Trump has made his statement for the 17th time, and the MEA bureaucracy cannot counter that. There should be a session of Parliament,' he further stated. On June 21, the Pakistani government formally recommended US President Donald Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, citing his 'decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership' during the recent conflict between India and Pakistan, as reported by The Dawn. 'I won't get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between India and Pakistan, I won't get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between Serbia and Kosovo, I won't get a Nobel Peace Prize for keeping Peace between Egypt and Ethiopia (A massive Ethiopian built dam, stupidly financed by the United States of America, substantially reduces the water flowing into The Nile River), and I won't get a Nobel Peace Prize for doing the Abraham Accords in the Middle East which, if all goes well, will be loaded to the brim with additional Countries signing on, and will unify the Middle East for the first time in 'The Ages!' No, I won't get a Nobel Peace Prize, no matter what I do, including Russia/Ukraine, and Israel/Iran, whatever those outcomes may be, but the people know, and that's all that matters to me,' he said in a post on Truth Social.
