Roma evaluate paying for Lucumi's release clause
Roma want to secure an additional defender for Gian Piero Gasperini.
The technician has made his requests clear: he wants Jhon Lucumi of Bologna.
The defender has a contract with Bologna until 2026 and, given his excellent season in Emilia, has attracted the attention of several clubs.

The rossoblu, however, currently have no intention of selling either him or Beukema (who Napoli are interested in), which is why the only way to avoid a negotiation is to pay the €28 million release clause in the contract.
According to Sky Sport, Roma are evaluating this option: the money to pay would be a lot, but avoiding a negotiation could speed up the time for his arrival, thus giving Gasperini another piece for his defence.

Trump has made sports franchises and athletes his sideshow props
The way they looked, you figured hell would have been a cooler place to be. Select members of Juventus, the prestigious Italian football club, stood behind President Donald Trump for 16 cringeworthy minutes Wednesday at the White House, transforming from visitors to sideshow props. Wearing white hooded sweatshirts and standing next to FIFA and team officials in dark suits, the players tried to maintain good posture and stoic expressions while Trump sat at the Resolute Desk. But the discomfort took over. They fidgeted. They rolled their eyes. They looked away. Trump was in full bluster, and they could not escape.

Sunken Bayesian superyacht lifted off seabed
Ten months after the luxury superyacht Bayesian sank off the coast of Sicily in a sudden storm, salvage crews have managed to lift it 50 meters (164 feet) from the seabed Friday afternoon, the company running the $30 million recovery operation said. The superyacht was scheduled to be lifted over the weekend, but salvage crews from TMC Marine said the process went faster than anticipated. The 56 meter (184-foot) superyacht went down in less than a minute when hurricane force winds swept through the area on August 19, 2024. Seven people, including British tech tycoon Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah, died. Fifteen people survived, including Lynch's wife, whose company owns the $40 million vessel, the ship's captain and all but one crew member. This is a developing story and will be updated.
