Steps' Faye Tozer 'splits from husband' after 16 years together and 'moves out house'
Steps star Faye Tozer has reportedly moved out of her South Tyneside home which she shares with her husband and their teenage son
Steps pop star Faye Tozer had reportedly moved out of the family home she shares with husband Michael Smith and their teenage son in South Tyneside weeks before Christmas.
Her husband raised concerns about the state of their 16-year marriage after posting about heartbreak on social media last year. Just days before her birthday in November, the 43-year-old shared an emotional post about heartbreak.
The post read: "I met you when I was not looking for you and lost when I loved you the most."
Not long after, he posted a picture of Banksy's famous broken heart with a bandaid labelled "closed for repairs," the Mirror reports.
Micheal was approached by the MailOnline to speak on their relationship, he cryptically stated: "We're going through some things and trying to work some stuff out. That's all I will say."
An insider said it was "sad" as they added to the publication: "It just seemed to happen out of the blue. They always used to be so lovely, both really nice people. It's such a shame."
Neighbours said the pair used to "be at the local pub together all the time" and said that it was "really sad" if they are having marriage troubles.
Back in 2018, Faye took part in the sixteenth season of Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. The dancing duo were joint runners-up in the final.
At one point, she was spotted enjoying a dinner with Giovanni, as he was pictured feeding her during the lunch. At the time, Michael had laughed off any rumours of a romance.
He jokingly shared a selfie on Instagram with pasta on his face, along with the caption: "Where's @pernicegiovann1 when you need him? Help me out @fayetozersmith."
After participating in Strictly, Faye revealed that her and Michael's sex life had been revitalised as a result of her time on the show.
"It's really exciting now. My husband couldn't make it to the live show on the first week but when I got home, he couldn't wait to see me. Let's just say that," she shared.
Faye's first marriage was to Danish drummer Jasper Irn, but their relationship ended abruptly after ten years together. The couple, who tied the knot in Dunstable in 2002, were married for five years.
In 2018, he said: "She became cold and distant to me and suddenly, after almost 10 wonderful years together, everything started falling apart. One day she told me, 'I've had enough. I don't want to see you anymore'. I was shocked.'
"I was young and stupid. I think Faye wanted me to fight for her. We began living separate lives. One day she told me, "I've had enough. I don't want to see you anymore". Looking back, I should have told her, "We are married and we are staying married". Instead, I turned and walked away. A huge mistake."

Dave Myers' widow says memorial motorcycle ride has become ‘more than a tribute'
Motorcyclists returned to the TV chef's hometown of Barrow-in-Furness on Saturday, a year on from the first Dave Day, in memory of the 66-year-old who died last year following a battle with cancer. Myers was part of the motorcycle-riding cooking duo the Hairy Bikers with co-presenter Si King, who also attended the event at the weekend. A post shared by The Hairy Bikers (@hairybikers) 'It's magical and amazing. Last year we had the bike ride and then a concert, but this year there's been a lot more. It's been a full weekend of events,' Myers told BBC Breakfast. 'It just started with a bike ride. Started at Ace Cafe in London. We were in the sun. It was scorching hot at some points, water just dripping off all of us.' She added: 'The last stop that we planned, we couldn't do it because it was packed with bikes. 'So there were about 7,000 bikes in Burton-in-Kendal and we had to go past it. We couldn't stop. 'We got into Barrow earlier than we planned anyway, because of missing one stop, and we had about 40,000 bikes again on the roads this year. 'So many messages that I received from drivers on the other side of the motorways saying how amazing that was and how tearful they were to see the convoy. So (it was) really magical, beautiful. 'Then when we arrived there, we had a concert waiting for us. And on Saturday, a bike exhibition, bike stand, the Dave museum… It's so emotional.' She added: 'I'm on a high, very tired because I think I had a couple of hours sleep the whole weekend. But it was so uplifting and so wonderful to see all those people from all over the country coming to pay a tribute. 'And it became a little bit more than just a tribute. It was an occasion for people to manifest. 'Whether they were going through grief, through loss, whether they just needed a friendship, or a friend to talk to. 'I had a book signing, and I spoke with about 300 people that were there, and every one of them had a story about their health or about learning to cook watching Dave and Si on the TV because they've been part of people's living rooms for more than 20 years. And it's just amazing to see the legacy that they have.' Dave Day 2025 raised money for NSPCC Childline and CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria, an independent charity providing therapy and support to people affected by cancer. Last year the memorial ride raised £127,460.60, according to the Dave Day website. King and Myers were friends for more than three decades and fronted a series of cooking and travel programmes on the BBC from 2004. Myers' death came while the pair's last series, The Hairy Bikers Go West, was being aired – seeing them travel along the west of the UK from Scotland down to Devon. Outside of their travelogue series, Myers competed on Strictly Come Dancing and the duo published more than 25 cookery books.

'I'm riding 1,000 miles to get to Glastonbury - people think I'm crazy'
One festivalgoer has taken his journey to Glastonbury to all new lengths as he's been cycling 100km a day for almost a month in a bid to get to Worthy Farm from Madrid, Spain The countdown to Glastonbury is fast approaching, with mere days to go before hundreds of thousands of festivalgoers pitch up their tents for five days of spectacular performances. While many will be travelling by car, train or coach, one man is so dedicated to the UK's biggest festival that he's riding a whopping 100km a day on his bike to get there! Ollie White, 25, started his lengthy journey at the end of May from Madrid, Spain, where he lives and works as a content creator for La Liga, the Spanish football league. Over the course of almost a month, he has ventured across majestic mountains, the biggest sand dune in Europe, serene coastlines and desert-like landscapes with just a backpack, a tent and his bicycle. In total, Ollie will travel over 1,600km, or 994 miles, to Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, racking up 62 miles a day. With just a few days to go until the gates open at Glastonbury on Wednesday, 25 June, at 8 am, Ollie has almost completed his trek and has been documenting his journey on TikTok and Instagram every day. In his most recent update on Sunday, 22 June, Ollie confirmed that he reached Plymouth before heading to Totnes, Devon, where he'd stay the night. He is hoping to reach Glastonbury by Tuesday, 24 June. When asked by the BBC why he opted to ride from Madrid to Worthy Farm, he simply said: "I have a ticket for Glastonbury, so why not cycle?" Speaking further about his experience, he also shared with the news outlet: "A lot of people think I'm crazy for doing this, but for me it doesn't seem too crazy. "It's just a challenge I've set myself and, at the end of the day, once you've done all the preparation, you just have to get on the bike each day and do the kilometres." He described his adventure as "absolutely incredible" and that "everything has been really positive". He's spent time camping alone in secluded, yet beautiful spots across Europe and the UK, while taking in nature and the incredible scenery during each leg of his journey. When he finally reaches his end location, Ollie has a list of performances lined up to watch during the weekend at Glastonbury, including Neil Young, Loyle Carner, Kneecap, Caribou, Scissor Sisters and Kaiser Chiefs. He adds that Neil Young has been a particularly good soundtrack while riding through endless countries.

Whilst we are keeping shtum on which of the OGs are selected for the saucy stopover, we can reveal that their choices leave their partners' losing their heads back at the main villa. A source said: 'The saucy sleepover worked brilliantly last year and bosses felt now was the perfect time to deploy the same cheeky twist. 'Dejon and Meg have just made up, Tommy and Megan and Conor and Emily are wavering, and everyone else is scrambling for a connection. 'The bombshells aren't playing it safe though and their choices make for brilliant TV.' NEW BOMBSHELLS The Sun earlier revealed the four new bombshells who are fresh on Love Island The first is Giorgio Russo, who is football champion Alessia Russo's brother. The half Italian hunk is known as Gio and, just like his England Women's and Arsenal champion sis, he's big into his fitness. Yet his villa entrance may well mean he will miss Alessia's stint in the Women's Euro's 2025, which kicks off on July 2. The other lad is Will Means, who will be more than a rival for Gio in the gym. Sam Thompson takes swipe at Love Island's Harry as he claims he's worked out 'real reason' for his tears He competes in Hyrox world championship races and has even done an Ironman. The boys are joined by two stunning girls. The Sun had already revealed that gorgeous blonde Poppy Harrison had flown out to Mallorca ready for romance, and now she's in the villa. She has set foot in the ITV2 matchmaking show compound after only calling time on her latest relationship last week. 6 Arsenal star Alessio Russo's brother Gio Russo is another villa newbie Credit: Instagram 6 Will Means is a Hyrox fanatic and already has his sights set on a villa partner Credit: Instagram A source at the time said: 'Poppy is super flirtatious on a night out and I could see her fitting in well with this year's cast. 'She is a fan of the show." They continued: "Her split came with her ex came out of the blue - her boyfriend wasn't expecting it at all. "She's a smart girl and is likely heading into the villa with a gameplan." Poppy boasts over 8,000 followers on Instagram, giving her fans a glimpse into her luxurious lifestyle. She can be seen skiing with influencer pal, Maddie Eastham, showing off her designer purchases and sunning herself in Cannes. Another shows her with a personalised-plate £50,000 Range Rover Evoque. She often posts glamorous photos on nights out and on holiday in a bikini. Last but not least is Caprice Alexandra, who looks to be another travel bunny. Her Instagram is filled with curvy bikini snaps from the likes of Mauritius and Morocco.
