Kashmiris observe Youm-e-Tashakur in solidarity with armed forces

Youm-e-Tashakur was observed across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with great enthusiasm to express solidarity with the Pakistan armed forces.
The day began in Muzaffarabad with a 21 gun salutes and flag-hoisting ceremonies at key government locations. The capital city witnessed a solemn start to the day with special prayers in mosques for peace, progress and the strength of the armed forces of Pakistan. At least 21 gun salutes were presented as a mark of respect for the Pakistan army.
A central flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Prime Minister's Secretariat, where a smartly turned-out AJK police contingent presented a guard of honor. A solidarity rally led by Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Rasheed was held from the Ministers' Block to Martyrs' Memorial.
In a significant show of support, Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman visited the Line of Control (LOC) in the Abbaspur Sector, where he met with troops and expressed unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Army.
Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that the struggle against India would continue until the resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the wishes of Kashmiris.
On the occasion, Hurriat leader Altaf Ahmad Bhat said that May 10 attack gave a new hope to the Muslims of India and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIoJK) people who were worst victims of Modi government.
Bhat also appreciated the package announced by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for martyrs.
Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK President Fahim Kayani said that the attack of Pakistan armed forces on India on May 10 made every British Pakistani proud across UK.
Similar rallies and events were held in other cities across AJK. Citizens came out in large numbers to pay tribute to the Pakistan armed forces for their historic victory and to reaffirm their commitment to the cause of justice and national defense.
Youm-e- Tashakur in AJK served as a powerful reminder of the public's steadfast support for the armed forces and their shared resolve to safeguard the nation at all costs.
Pakistan Islamic Medical Association PIMA AJK chapter took to the streets from PIMA Al Hajri Hospital to Domail to express solidarity with Pakistan armed forces.
The participants, including young doctors and paramedics, held Pakistan flags and raised slogans in favour of Pakistan Army.
"May 10 united Pakistan from Karachi to Quetta, Peshawar, Lahore and Kashmir, and this day will also cement the national integration of Pakistan," Dr Reyaz Sheikh said.
Students also took to the streets and congratulated the Pakistan Army for teaching the lesson to Hindu extremists while attacking their airbases in broad daylight.
The rallies were also taken out in dozens of other districts and Tesla of AJK.

Touching on the strategic motives behind Israel's military actions, Khan pointed out that Tel Aviv has made targeting Iran's nuclear infrastructure. "Israel has already attacked nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, Fordow, and other key locations where uranium enrichment and missile programmes are believed to be based," he said. "They claim to have neutralized nearly 40 percent of Iran's air defense systems." Khan asserted that Israel is pressuring the United States to either intervene directly in the conflict or allow Israel to use tactical nuclear weapons against Iran. "Israel is lobbying for the use of bunker-buster bombs or subterranean nuclear strikes that, according to them, would limit radioactive fallout to underground areas," he explained.

Moharram-ul-Haram: Minister orders uninterrupted power supply

ISLAMABAD: The Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has directed power Distribution Companies (Discos) to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Moharram-ul-Haram to facilitate these religious gatherings and avoid any inconvenience to the public. In a letter to all Chairmen and CEOs of Discos, the Minister stated that the sacred month of Moharram-ul-Haram is approaching, during which millions of devotees/mourners across Pakistan will participate in Majalis and processions to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA). ' Since the Holy Month of Moharram is falling in the month of July and heat waves are expected, it is very much imperative that all necessary measures are taken to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to facilitate these religious gatherings and avoid any inconvenience to the public,' he added. Reliable power supply to Karachi directed In this regard, Chairmen and CEOs of Discos have been directed to take the following actions on an urgent basis: (i) pre-emptive Maintenance & Load Management: Conduct thorough inspections of all transmission and distribution networks, particularly in areas where Majalis and processions are expected. Ensure that all faulty equipment is promptly repaired or replaced to prevent outages ;(ii) deploy dedicated emergency response teams on high alert throughout Moharram, especially on the 9th and 10th of Moharram, to address any power disruptions immediately ;(iii) coordinate with district administrations, law enforcement agencies, and religious organizers to identify critical locations requiring priority power supply and backup arrangements ;(iv) communicate proactively with consumers, especially Imambargahs and mosques, regarding any scheduled maintenance or potential load management measures to minimize inconvenience ;(v) ensure that standby generators and UPS systems are available at sensitive locations to provide backup power in case of any unforeseen grid issues ;(vi) provision of additional Transformers and material Ensure that sufficient number of transformers and other materials are available in each sub-division and inventory in this regard should be updated ;(vii) assign duty rosters to ensure 24/7 availability of technical and operational staff during Moharram to respond swiftly to any power-related issues; and (viii) dedicated controls Centres at all level should be established with proper coordination and propagation of its contact numbers to ensure smooth operation during the month. The Minister further stated that the sanctity of Moharram demands our utmost commitment to serving the public with diligence and respect. Any negligence in this regard will be viewed seriously. On the international response, Khan noted that while Russia and China have offered diplomatic and moral support to Iran, Tehran has not formally requested military assistance. 'Russian President Vladimir Putin even offered to mediate between the two nations, a proposal accepted by Iran but reportedly dismissed by Israel,' he revealed. 'Nonetheless, Iran maintains strong defense ties with both Russia and China, and remains a critical partner in China's Belt and Road Initiative.' Regarding diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions, Khan acknowledged that the United States has set a 15-day window to decide on its level of involvement. 'This pause has intensified backchannel diplomacy. The British Foreign Secretary has held high-level meetings in Washington, and even President Trump's close advisors are urging restraint,' he said. 'Still, military deployments by the U.S. in Europe, the Middle East, and particularly at Diego Garcia, suggest that war preparations are well underway.'
