HGV driver caught rolling cigarette while on M5
A HGV driver who rolled a cigarette with no hands on the wheel was among 58 motorists caught in a police crackdown last month.
Gloucestershire Police used an unmarked lorry to catch unsafe driving behaviour on the M5, leading to court summons and traffic offence reports.
The HGV driver was stopped by officers after being filmed between junctions 8 and 14.
Sgt Matt Firth said cutting the number of people killed or seriously injured on the county's roads "continues to be a priority" for the force.

National Highways has three unmarked HGV cabs which it loans out to police forces across the country as part of Operation Tramline.
The driver of a tow truck was pulled over and received a ban as officers found it had no brakes and an insecure load.
Officers also pulled over two drivers towing vehicles while in the third lane of the motorway, which is not permitted according to the Highway Code.
Drivers were also stopped for offences such as not wearing a seatbelt and using a mobile phone behind the wheel.
Sgt Matt Firth from the force's roads policing unit said: "We will continue to run these operations to detect and deter those who choose to drive in this manner, remembering that any of us or our loved ones could be impacted by such behaviours whilst using the county's roads."

Anger as police officer in Sutton Coldfield parks on double yellows to get German Doner Kebab meal
A concerned member of the public recorded the moment a police officer in Sutton Coldfield parked on double yellow lines near a junction while getting a takeaway meal. The police officer is seen parking his patrol car right at the end of Holland Street, at its junction with the Parade where it meets Birmingham Road, in the centre of the town, on Tuesday (June 10) night. He left his vehicle while he went inside German Doner Kebab (GDK). The member of the public, who asked not to be named, said he and fellow customers at the Bottle of Sack pub opposite watched on as the officer parked illegally. And the pubgoer recorded the moment the officer returned with his GDK bag in hand, returning to the driver's seat, reversing a little before driving off. The concerned witness said: 'Whilst sat having a drink in the Bottle of Sack on Tuesday evening I videoed a police car parking for on double yellow lines for six minutes, whilst the driver went into GDK for a kebab. 'This was also seen by everyone else in the pub." He continued: 'West Midlands Police are asking for the public to upload videos like this on their Operation Snap pages showing driving offences so they can prosecute the driver. 'They even publish the results monthly. This is not setting a good example and a flagrant disregard for the law and other road users. 'It's also annoying that they don't have time to attend burglary or car theft incidents but can park up illegally for six minutes for a kebab.' The force's Operation Snap urges those with footage of anyone committing driving offences on the region's roads to submit it and says every piece of footage will be reviewed by specially-trained staff. The Highway Code says motorists should 'not park within 10 metres of a junction, except in an authorised parking space'. Man sustains life-threatening injuries in crash
A man sustained life-threatening injuries when four vehicles were involved in a crash on the A38 in Derbyshire. Emergency services were called to the crash on the northbound side, close to the A50 roundabout at Findern, just after 20:50 BST on Monday. Derbyshire Police said the crash involved an Audi A5, BMW 3 Series, Ford Focus and a HGV. The driver of the BMW was seriously injured and taken to hospital where he remains, while a woman in her 20s and a man in his 20s were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The arrested pair remain in custody, the force added. A police spokesperson said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who saw the vehicles before the collision, witnessed the incident or has any dashcam footage." Part of A31 closed westbound amid murder probe after body found
A STRETCH of the A31 through the New Forest has been closed westbound as police continue an investigation following the discovery of a woman's body. As previously reported, Yajaira Castro Mendez, 46, was reported missing to the Metropolitan Police on May 31 having left her home in Ilford on the morning of May 29. Since that time detectives said they been carrying out urgent enquiries to find Yajaira's body and during searches in the Bolderwood area on Saturday, 7 June they found a body. The #A31 westbound between the #M27 and #A338 near #Ringwood has closed due to a @HantsPolice incident. On approach to the closure, there are delays of 30 minutes and congestion of approx. 4 miles.
