Daisy Edgar-Jones looks totally different in throwback snap as star turns 27
Fans have noticed that Daisy Edgar-Jones, who celebrates her 27th birthday today, is looking completely different these days - and is almost unrecognisable in a throwback snap from January 2020 when she was in her early 20s
Daisy Edgar-Jones, best known for her roles in Normal People and Where the Crawdads Sing, turns 27 today (May 24). She first burst onto the scene in Cold Feet and War of the Worlds, and has had an illustrious career since. She has an Instagram following of almost three million fans.
The glamorous actress, from London, is no stranger to posting stunning snaps on social media. But in a picture of her from five years ago, she looks totally different, and fans can't get enough. Back in 2020, she posted a photo captioned: "Vanity Fair Bafta Rising Star Party," and Daisy looks like a different person.
The photo was posted to her Instagram in January of that year, just before the Covid pandemic.
Sporting cropped brunette hair and wearing a silky pink gown with a sweet floral pattern across the bust, she looked youthful and adorable, and received many comments complimenting her at the time she posted it.
"I love this photo, you look stunning," one fan penned, with another adding: "Bleeeeedin hell here she is," followed by fire emojis.
People even called her "magic" thanks to her natural beauty.
Now, Daisy sports a more mature look, opting for longer hair and even more pared-back, fashionable clothing. During a recent trip to Cannes, she sported a black figure-hugging bandeau dress with embellishments all over it as she smiled for the cameras.
But what fans were more obsessed with was the fact that she was seen with Normal People co-star Paul Mescal. While the pair have always maintained that they are friends, some fans have always hoped the pair might share a romantic bond.
Someone wrote: "The way Paul & Daisy always have the biggest smile when they're together".
"He's never going to beat the allegations," another added, but a fan responded: "This is just a picture," suggesting that it didn't actually mean anything that the pair had been photographed together.
The pair have spoken about their relationship several times. They have always maintained that they share a close friendship, with Daisy saying Paul is one of her "lifetime best friends," and that she loves him platonically.
Paul Mescal is currently dating singer and songwriter Gracie Abrams, who made headlines when she joined Taylor Swift's Eras Tour as an opening act in 2023 and 2024.
She then released the song 'That's So True,' which went on to become a viral sound on TikTok thanks to hundreds of thousands of people using it in their videos.
Daisy is also in a happy relationship with her partner, photographer Ben Seed. They were first publicly seen together during an outing in London, where they were photographed embracing, kissing, and holding hands in 2023.

Look-alike Shefford dad mistaken for hip-hop star Pitbull
A father-of-four who was mistaken for the rapper and singer Pitbull and mobbed by fans at one of his concerts says the whole experience has been "crazy". Phil Mansford, 49, from Shefford, Bedfordshire, decided to go a gig at the O2 Arena in London dressed as the Latin hip-hop star in a "standard suit" - with shades on. It has become a custom to dress like the star, donning his trademark glasses, shirts and jackets - and a bald Mansford said his wife had "stuck a bit of mascara" on his greying beard, before fans began "screaming and shouting and running towards me", believing he was the star. His wife Nicole took a video of the fans' reactions, sent it to their daughter Niamh, who posted it on TikTok. The reel has had more than 3.8 million views and has been shared more than 55,000 times. "I had no idea it was going to blow up like that, it's crazy," Mr Mansford added that he was wearing "just a standard suit with shades", but due to being "follically challenged", no bald cap was a bit of fun, he added, "my wife just stuck a bit of mascara on my little beard, to make it darker, as I'm going grey. "I had no idea it was a cult following [to dress like Pitbull]." Mr Mansford said people started to notice the similarities when he was on the train heading to the concert. "As we got closer to the O2 a few more people started shouting at me," he said. "I was sticking my thumbs up, I was loving the attention, and my wife was rolling her eyes. "As we got inside, people were dancing and getting in the vibe, someone must have said 'that's him'." "The next thing - it went mad, everyone was screaming, shouting and running towards me", he said. "I was with my mate Mike [Metrovich], he's an absolute diamond, and he's a personal trainer, so he looks the part and he pretended to be my bodyguard pushing people out the way and saying, 'no, no, no, move back'."He said although he is not a massive fan of the Fireball singer, the concert was "absolutely brilliant, top drawer". Mr Mansford, the manager of a day centre for adults with learning disabilities, said he just "milked the moment for all he could" and the whole experience had been "amazing". Chris Brown due to enter plea over ‘bottle attack' charge
The American musician, 36, was able to continue with his scheduled international tour after he was freed on conditional bail last month. Brown, accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Abraham Diaw in February 2023, is set to appear at Southwark Crown Court on Friday morning alongside his co-defendant, US national Omololu Akinlolu, 38, for a plea and trial preparation hearing. The Go Crazy singer had to pay a £5 million security fee to the court as part of the bail agreement, which is a financial guarantee to ensure a defendant returns to court and may be forfeited if they breach bail conditions. Brown and Akinlolu have both been charged relating to the alleged assault at the Tape venue in Hanover Square in Mayfair on February 19 2023. Manchester Magistrates' Court heard last month that Mr Diaw was standing at the bar of the Tape nightclub when he was struck several times with a bottle, and was then pursued to a separate area of the nightclub where he was punched and kicked repeatedly. Brown was arrested at Manchester's Lowry Hotel at 2am on May 15 by detectives from the Metropolitan Police. He is said to have flown into Manchester Airport on a private jet in preparation for the UK tour dates. Brown was released from HMP Forest Bank in Salford, Greater Manchester, on May 21. Shortly after being released from prison, Brown posted an Instagram story referencing his upcoming tour. It said: 'FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!! BREEZYBOWL.'
