UP PGT recruitment 2025: UPSESSB postpones Post Graduate Teacher Exam yet again, new dates soon; check official notice here
The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board (UPSESSB) has announced the third postponement of the written examination for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT).
Originally scheduled for June 18 and 19, 2025, the exam has now been deferred due to unavoidable reasons, with the commission proposing to conduct the test in the last week of August.
Candidates and stakeholders must note that revised dates will be soon released on the official UPSESSB website, upessc.up.gov.in.

In an official notice, UPSESSB confirmed that the PGT written exam under Advertisement No. 02/2022, originally planned for mid-June, will not be held as scheduled.
The decision to postpone the exam came from the commission citing unavoidable circumstances. This marks the third time the PGT examination has been rescheduled since the recruitment process began. The board has assured that fresh dates will be announced shortly to ensure candidates have adequate preparation time.

The application window for the UP TGT and PGT recruitment opened on June 9, 2022, and closed on July 9, 2022.
The recruitment initiative aims to fill a total of 4,163 teaching vacancies across Uttar Pradesh. The artefacts, known as the Benin Bronzes and mostly housed in a museum in the city of Leiden, were looted in the late 19th century by British soldiers. In recent years, museums across Europe and North America have moved to address ownership disputes over artefacts looted during the colonial era. They were returned at the request of Nigeria's national commission for museums and monuments. During the handover ceremony in Edo State, Oba Ewuare II, the monarch and custodian of Benin culture, described the return of the artefacts as a "divine intervention."
