Last season, he went 4-7 with a 4.10 ERA for San Francisco. In 2025, he has struggled, going 1-5 with a 6.47 ERA through 13 appearances, including nine starts. Recently demoted to the bullpen, Hicks is currently on the 15-day injured list with toe inflammation.

Rafael Devers goes 0-for-5 in first game vs. Red Sox since blockbuster trade
When the Boston Red Sox traded Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants, they did it knowing they would be facing their disgruntled former player in just five days. That game arrived on Friday.
