Who is Next Gen NYC star Gia Giudice, daughter of Teresa Giudice from RHONJ? She has a criminal justice degree from Rutgers and has dated Christian Carmichael since 2020

Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) star Teresa Giudice's mini-me daughter, Gia Giudice, grew up in front of the camera thanks to her mum's role on the reality show. Now, she's taking centre stage as one of the stars of the new Bravo show Next Gen NYC.
Premiering on June 3, the show, according to its press release, 'follows a tangled web of friends raised in the spotlight – or at least close enough for good lighting – as they stumble into adulthood one brunch, break-up and spontaneous decision at a time'. And already in the trailer, Gia seems to be in a heated exchange with another cast member. It looks like viewers are in for a good dose of drama.

In May 2023, Gia graduated from Rutgers University with a criminal justice degree. Proud mama Teresa celebrated her daughter's milestone with an Instagram post: 'I am so proud of my devoted and intelligent daughter, Gia, for graduating [from] a stellar university, a huge milestone to accomplish in life,' she wrote.
In February 2023, Gia landed a job with Kathleen Martínez, an attorney specialising in immigration law, per People. The decision might have been influenced by Gia's father Joe, who was deported to his native Italy in 2019 after he and Teresa were indicted for fraud in 2013.
With the new show, however, it seems that Gia may be putting law school on hold. 'Law will always be my passion, and I'm honestly just having fun right now with my influencer career and just doing things with you guys. So I'm really happy, and I am living out this part of my life right now,' she said.

Pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil released from US custody

Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil was released on Friday from US federal immigration detention, freed after 104 days by a judge's ruling after becoming a symbol of President Donald Trump 's clampdown on campus protests. The former Columbia University graduate student left a federal facility in Louisiana on Friday. He is expected to head to New York to reunite with his US citizen wife and infant son, born while Khalil was detained. 'Justice prevailed, but it's very long overdue,' he said outside the facility in a remote part of Louisiana. 'This shouldn't have taken three months.' The Trump administration is seeking to deport Khalil over his role in pro-Palestinian protests. He was detained on March 8 at his apartment building in Manhattan. Khalil was released after US district judge Michael Farbiarz said it would be 'highly, highly unusual' for the government to continue detaining a legal US resident who was unlikely to flee and hadn't been accused of any violence. 'Petitioner is not a flight risk, and the evidence presented is that he is not a danger to the community,' he said. 'Period, full stop.'

US doctor who posted videos of decapitated baby must pay parents US$2 million

An Atlanta doctor and his clinic must pay US$2.25 million to a couple after posting to his public social media account graphic videos of their decapitated baby during an autopsy, a jury has decided. Advertisement Jackson Gates and his business, Medical Diagnostic Choices, were found liable by default in the lawsuit brought against them by Jessica Ross and Treveon Taylor after the couple discovered the social media posts. Ross and Taylor said they were horrified and outraged when they learned Gates had published without their knowledge or permission images of their child, who was decapitated during a difficult delivery July 9, 2023. The couple had hired Gates to perform an autopsy. On Wednesday, an Atlanta jury awarded the couple US$2 million in compensation and US$250,000 in damages designed to punish Gates and Medical Diagnostic Choices. The jurors found Gates did not intend to cause harm. 'They asked for US$30 million and they got just over US$2 million,' said Gates' lawyer, Ira Livnat. 'Obviously we were disappointed with the verdict, but the jurors' finding that he did not act with specific intent to cause harm was very significant.' Advertisement Lawyers for Ross and Taylor said they are pleased the jury punished Gates for his 'reprehensible' behaviour, though nothing can ease the couple's pain over their son's 'horrific' death.

The album features exciting new collaborations with Jelly Roll and Blackpink's Rosé. But what do we know about music's hottest newcomer? Here's everything to know about Alex Warren. A traumatic childhood Alex Warren as a young lad, with his late father. Photo: @alexwaarren/Instagram Born in September 2000, Warren was raised in California in a Catholic household and had a tumultuous childhood that plays a big role in his music. When he was only nine years old, the 'Headlights' singer's father passed away from kidney cancer, leaving him and his siblings to be raised by their mum, who resorted to alcoholism to cope with the loss of her husband. 'I wanted to be a singer since I was a kid and my dad bought me my first guitar,' says Warren. 'Funnily enough, I didn't start writing until he passed. Music became an outlet for me to process my trauma,' Warren said in an interview with Variety in May. When he was 18 years old, Warren's mother kicked him out of the house, forcing him to sleep in friends' cars but never their houses because his mum had convinced their parents that Warren was a troublemaker, per an interview he gave the BBC in March.
