FC Nantes could make a managerial change at the end of the season. Les Canaris are not yet assured of safety and currently hover just three points above the relegation play-off spot with five games remaining. They have a game in hand on those around them, against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
There has been talk about the managerial position for much of the season at Nantes. Antoine Kombouaré came in at the end of last season to save the club from relegation, however, there has been a temptation to twist. Waldemar Kita attempted to replace Kombouré during the winter break, however, could not get deals over the line for either Habib Beye or Sergio Conceiçao.

Mohamed Toubache-Ter understands that Nantes are still on the look out for a new manager and could make a move for Pierre Sage. The Frenchman has been out of a job since leaving Olympique Lyonnais earlier in the season. Sage recently told The Athletic that he is looking to make a return to management.

Fabio Quartararo injures shoulder in practice crash at MotoGP's Italian GP

MotoGP world champion Fabio Quartararo has been taken to hospital following a big accident during the first official practice session at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix. The Yamaha rider went down after just 10 minutes as the front of the bike got away from the Frenchman heading into the fast left-right sequence at Turn 4 in Mugello. Advertisement Quartararo's left shoulder hit the ground hard before he continued to slide into the gravel along with the bike. The 2021 world champion spent a prolonged period lying in the gravel trap, clutching his left shoulder which had been dislocated. Quartararo then had his shoulder popped back into place on the spot. It was clear that he was in pain, but he was adamant about getting back to the garage to continue the session, even arguing with the marshals about the quickest way to recover his Yamaha. After returning to the pits, Quartararo was examined by Angel Charte, the championship's medical director, who performed an initial assessment. Quartararo was then given an anti-inflammatory so he could return to the track. Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha Factory Racing Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha Factory Racing 'In the crash, Fabio dislocated his left shoulder, something that has happened to him before. He popped it back into place himself, as he's done on other occasions,' Charte commented after the session. Advertisement 'I allowed him to go back out, but now we're sending him to a hospital in Florence to get an MRI scan on his left shoulder." Despite the discomfort, Quartararo finished the session in fifth which moved him directly into Q2 for Saturday's qualifying. His participation for the rest of the weekend, however, depends on him receiving the all-clear from the hospital. Real Madrid working on another free agent deal; this PL star on the verge of leaving?

Real Madrid is reportedly working on another free agent deal after Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool. By Ravi Kumar Jha Published on June 19, 2025, 18:57 IST Last updated June 19, 2025, 18:57 IST Real Madrid is reportedly working on another free agent deal after Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool. The player who has been now listed is from Liverpool only and one of the great defenders in the PL right now. Ibrahima Konate has been rumoured to be leaving the side and Madrid are monitoring his situation closely. They are planning to make a move for the centre-back as they have a chance to get them as a free agent this summer. Real Madrid are reportedly working on yet another high-profile free agent deal, with Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté emerging as their latest target. Following reports linking Trent Alexander-Arnold with a potential free move to the Spanish capital, Konaté has now entered the spotlight as Los Blancos look to bolster their backline. According to several sources, Real Madrid are closely monitoring Konaté's situation at Anfield, with his contract set to run down. The 25-year-old Frenchman has established himself as one of the most promising centre-backs in the Premier League, combining pace, power, and composure to form a solid partnership with Virgil van Dijk. With uncertainty looming over Konaté's future and no contract extension agreed upon yet, Real Madrid see an opportunity to swoop in and secure the defender without a transfer fee. The La Liga giants are planning a strategic approach, similar to their previous free signings, as they aim to strengthen their squad without breaking the bank.
