Jessie J Reveals Early Breast Cancer Diagnosis: "I Am Going to Disappear for a Bit"

British singer-songwriter Jessica Ellen Cornish, aka Jessie J, has revealed that she had been recently diagnosed with 'early breast cancer.'

on Tuesday, telling her followers that the diagnosis came shortly before the release of her track 'No Secrets' in April. 'Before 'No Secrets' came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,' she said. 'I'm highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding on to the word early.'
As she continued, she revealed that she has been 'in and out of tests' since the release of the track and wanted to share the video in an attempt to be 'open' about her journey with her supporters.
'I just wanted to be open and share it because selfishly, I do not talk about it enough,' she added. 'I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories. I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much. Similar and worse.'
She continued, 'I'm getting to keep my nipples, that's good. It's a weird topic and a weird situation. And I know the press are going to say crazy stuff but you know what, to get diagnosed with this as I'm putting out a song called 'No Secrets' right before a song called 'Living My Best Life,' which was all pre-planned before I found out about this, I mean you can't make it up.'
In closing her video to fans, Jessie J explained that she will 'disappear for a bit' to undergo surgery following her performance at the Summertime Ball in England on June 15.
Celebrity friends and fans online were quick to extend their get-well-soon wishes to Jessie.
"You're literally my favorite person and I'm praying for you. You've got this. My mother had it and I know the surgery and any treatment on this matter is mentally tough so I'm here for you," Rita Ora commented.
"Open book and open heart, we love you and support you always, sending you the best energy for a soon recovery ❤️ warrior," one fan wrote.
Jessie J's decision to be open and honest with her health journey aligns with her comments from July, in which she revealed a recent diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive behavior (OCD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity (ADHD).
'It's empowered me and honestly sometimes has overwhelmed me all at the same time,' she explained, noting that the information had made her think about her life in a whole new way. 'If there is one thing social media has given me, it's the chance to relate, connect, and heal with strangers that have kind hearts and are going through a similar thing. I have always been honest in the journey I'm going through in life.'
Some of the Grammy-nominated artist's other tracks include 'Together Till Infinity,' 'Heaven Bound,' 'I Want Love,' and 'Brave.'

"Thunderbolts" Sets Digital, 4K & Blu-ray Release Dates

Marvel's latest adventure, "Thunderbolts*", will hit video on demand on July 1 and get a 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on July 29, with preorders coming soon. The 4K Ultra HD digital and physical release will feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, as well as bonus features like deleted scenes, a gag reel, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and commentary by director Jake Schreier. Saba Mubarak Will Not Return for "Watar Hassas" Season 2
Yara Sameh Jordanian actress/producer Saba Mubarak will not return for season 2 of the TV series 'Watar Hassas". Mubarak parted ways with the drama due to being busy with other projects. Season 1 of the series debuted on October 27 and tackled the issue of marital infidelity and the secrets of the human psyche through three women (a doctor, a lawyer, and an employee), as the pace of events escalates due to the disputes between the lawyer and her interior designer husband, especially after she accuses him of infidelity, with the relationships between all parties becoming intertwined. The series also starred Injy El Mokkaddem, Heidy Karam, Mohamed Alaa, Ahmed Gamal Said, Mohamed El Amroussi, Hager Afify, Mohamed Aly Rezk, Ahmed Tarek Nour, and more. "Watar Hassas" consists of 45 episodes and was produced by United Media Services. It was written by scriptwriter Amin Gamal and directed by Wael Farag. BTS' Suga Discharged from Military Service
Yara Sameh K-pop group BTS member Suga was discharged from the South Korean military on Saturday, the seventh and final member to complete the country's mandatory national service amid expectations of the band's long-awaited comeback. He completed his military tenure as a social service agent on Saturday with little fanfare as fans looked forward to his reunion with the rest of the band, a K-pop sensation since it started up in 2013. "We confirm that Suga effectively completed his alternative service on June 18 by using his remaining leave. His official discharge date is June 21," BTS' label, Big Hit Music, said in a statement. Unlike with his bandmates, there was no public event planned to mark Suga's release due to overcrowding concerns. The seven-member group put their global music career on hold in 2022 to begin their service at the height of their global fame, starting with Jin in December that year, each serving duties of varying lengths as long as 18 months. South Korea requires all able-bodied men aged 18 to 28 to serve in the military where the mandatory service can be for terms of up to 18 months. Shortly after his official discharge, Suga posted a message on fan community platform Weverse, saying he was "sorry for the disappointment and concern caused by what happened last year", and also extended his apology to his bandmates. Last year, Suga was fined 15 million won ($11,500) by a court for drunk driving while on an electric scooter. The band is expected to hold its largest-ever world tour in 2026, an NH Securities entertainment analyst said in a report. Details of a reunion have not been released. BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys or "Bulletproof Boy Scouts" in Korean, began forming in 2010 after Big Hit Entertainment founder Bang Si-hyuk recruited RM, followed by Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. However, the band officially debuted in 2013, but it wasn't until 2017 when a highly successful US tour propelled their blend of pop, hip-hop and R&B - mostly in Korean - onto the global stage. Since then, the septet has become the most-streamed group on Spotify, the first K-pop act to top the US iTunes chart and several Billboard charts, and one of the most awarded groups in history. BTS has actively advocated for youth issues, including through a mental health initiative with UNICEF. It has also addressed the United Nations General Assembly and met with former US President Joe Biden to discuss the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes. In recent years, each of the seven members has also made a mark individually, with all scoring solo entries on the Hot 100. The band had previously won a deferral, when in 2020, the nation's parliament passed a bill allowing them to delay their duties until the age of 30.
