Amid the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, Pakistan, which faced defeat by India during Operation Sindoor, has made its entry and again reiterated its old threat of nuclear weapons. Iran's National Security Council member and IRGC General Mohsen Rezaei recently stated that Islamabad had assured Iran that it would launch nuclear retaliation against Israel if the Middle Eastern country were attacked by a nuclear weapon. During a televised interview, Mohsen Rezaei said, 'Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran, they will retaliate with a nuclear bomb on Israel,' Rezaei stated. However, Islamabad has firmly denied this claim.
The ongoing missile exchanges between Iran and Israel have claimed around 248 deaths, 230 in Iran and 18 in Israel.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that Pak's nuclear weapons have been highlighted and referred to during a conflict.
Earlier in April this year, Pak Minister Hanif Abbasi openly threatened India with nuclear retaliation, stating that missile systems—Ghori, Shaheen, and Ghaznavi- along with 130 nukes are 'kept only for India.'
According to a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, here is detailed information on Pakistan's nuclear strength. Pakistan's Nuclear Arsenal: The country has 100-120 nukes.
Delivery Methods: These nuks are designed to deliver through aircraft and land-based missiles.

Operation Sindhu: 290 Indian students return from Iran, land in Delhi
A flight from Mashhad, Iran, carrying 290 Indian students, mostly from Jammu and Kashmir, landed at the Delhi Airport late Friday (June 20, 2025). Indian defence delegation meets French officials in Paris; Rafale marine programme formally launched
Paris [France], June 21 (ANI): An Indian defence delegation led by Joint Secretary and Acquisition Manager (Maritime Systems) Dinesh Kumar met with French defence officials at the Paris Air Show on Thursday. The French side was headed by Lt Gen Gael Diaz De Tuesta, Director General of Armament. According to French defence officials, the meeting between the two sides also marked the formal launch of the Rafale marine programme, which already equips the Indian Air Force. Meanwhile, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi on Thursday attended the 12th Key Leader Engagement, which was hosted virtually by US Navy's Pacific fleet Admiral Stephen T. Koehler. Admiral Tripathi highlighted his vision on 'achieving maritime security in the Indo-Pacific through innovation and technology' in the Key Leader Engagement on Wednesday, which involved 19 nations. The Indian Navy, in a post on X, said, 'Adm Dinesh K Tripathi, CNS, attended the 12th Key Leader Engagement hosted virtually by Adm Stephen T Koehler, @USPacificFleet, on Jun 25, involving 19 nations.
