Luxury men's and women's fusion wear label Nirmooha has opened its first flagship store in Mumbai. The new exclusive brand outlet is located in the historic heritage precinct of Fort and houses designer Prreeti Jaiin Nainutia's prêt and couture collections.
'Opening our first flagship store is a proud moment, it's a vision we have worked towards for a long time," said Nirmooha's founder and creative designer Prreeti Jaiin Nainutia, India Retailing reported. "Every element, from the interiors to the detailing, reflects our story and signature style. Our ensembles are for the contemporary individual– modern in spirit, yet grounded in tradition and a strong sense of self."
The launch follows the label's recent international showcase at Paris Fashion Week 2025, where it presented its latest collection, 'Shree'. This collection, now available in-store, features sculpted silhouettes, gold detailing, and a colour palette of jewel tones and neutrals, reflecting the brand's focus on themes of transformation and timeless appeal.
Established in 2016, Nirmooha has become known for blending classic embroideries with contemporary silhouettes. The new flagship accompanies the label's direct to customer e-commerce store, which also stocks its full product range, according to its website.

Archies' executive director Varun Moolchandani told India Retailing that the children's segment is also a key focus area for growth. Archies will soon launch dedicated large-format kids' stores with play zones and birthday party spaces, alongside new home décor collections influenced by Korean aesthetics. Domestically, the Delhi-based company plans to open 25 to 30 new stores this year, concentrating on North India. The business will also introduce Archie's Express stores to serve value-conscious customers with fast-moving, affordable products. With its turnover crossing the Rs 80 crore mark in the 2024 financial year and strong digital and retail momentum, Archies is positioning itself as a global player while evolving its offerings for a new generation of consumers.

Lalithaa Jewellery to launch IPO

Chennai-based jewellery retailer Lalithaa Jewellery Mart has filed draft papers with the Securities and Exchange Board of India for an Initial Public Offering to raise Rs 1,700 crore as it plans to expand its brick-and-mortar presence in India. According to the Draft Red Herring Prospectus, the proposed IPO will comprise a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 1,200 crore and an offer-for-sale component of Rs 500 crore by promoter M Kiran Kumar Jain, India Retailing reported. The issue will also include a reserved portion for eligible employees, who will receive shares at a discounted price. The company plans to utilise approximately Rs 1,014.50 crore from the fresh issue proceeds to establish new stores, with the remainder allocated for general corporate purposes. Anand Rathi Advisors and Equirus Capital are acting as book-running lead managers for the IPO. The shares are proposed to be listed on both the BSE and NSE. For the nine months ended 31 December 2024, the company reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 12,594.67 crore and a profit after tax of Rs 262.33 crore. Founded in 1985 with its first outlet in Chennai's T Nagar, Lalithaa Jewellery Mart offers gold jewellery, silverware and diamond jewellery, according to its Facebook page. As of December 31, 2024, the company operates 56 stores- 22 in Andhra Pradesh, 20 in Tamil Nadu, seven in Karnataka, six in Telangana and one in Puducherry.
