It's Game 7 of the NBA Finals and every fan is waiting to see who among the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers will finally end up taking the championship this season. But among all the excitement, the first quarter of the game saw a devastating incident.
Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers' star player, has already had an injury since Game 5 on his right leg. And during the first quarter of Game 7, he was seen going to the ground after re-injuring his right leg, and no doubt, his teammates, including Myles Turner, are devastated.

Achilles injury
is indeed "heartbreaking"
Tyrese Haliburton
played less than 7 minutes during Game 7 of the NBA Finals before he went to the ground after a non-contact injury. Later, it was revealed by his father, John Haliburton, that he had sustained an injury to his right Achilles.
In Game 5, he had strained his right calf, but continued playing with it during the next games even though it was extremely risky. And now, during the first quarter of the game, the unthinkable has happened, as Haliburton re-injured himself on the right leg shortly after the game started.
Myles Turner, who plays center for the Indiana Pacers, was devastated at the incident. The Pacers were suddenly off their game, and it continued till the end, as they lost their championship hopes after battling for it tooth and nail till the end. Turner told ESPN after the first quarter:
"It's a heartbreak, man.

It's unfortunate, in our biggest game of the year, that the injury didn't hold up for him... But we've got his back. That's what it's all about. Next-man-up mentality."
Leading his team throughout the Playoffs, Tyrese Haliburton was the best player of the team, whose name was on everyone's lips with his brilliant performance in every game. Unfortunately, things had to end on such a sad note not for the Pacers team and fans, as they saw Haliburton being helped off the court after the first quarter, breaking thousands of hearts on the way.

IND vs ENG: 'I just...' - Jasprit Bumrah explains his mantra despite seeing plenty of catches going down

LEEDS, ENGLAND - JUNE 21: Jasprit Bumrah of India looks on during Day Two of the 1st Rothesay Test Match between England and India at Headingley on June 21, 2025 in Leeds, England. (Photo by) There were four catches dropped off Jasprit Bumrah 's bowling in England's first innings of the Leeds Test at Headingley, and never did the Indian speedster lose his cool. He tried to hide his disappointment behind his smile, buried his face in his cap, and moved on to the next delivery. "I like to play cricket to enjoy my time whenever I'm out on the field, so that is why I smile," Bumrah told BBC Sport, explaining why he always plays with a smile on his face. 13:26 Jasprit Bumrah press conference: Lashes out at critics, dropped catches and no balls Bumrah, who picked up five wickets in England's first innings, gave the Indian fielders the benefit of the doubt as they dropped one chance after another. "Dropped catches—I understand nobody is doing it on purpose, and obviously everyone is trying their best. Cool weather with the ball sometimes makes it difficult to see over here as well. So I do understand," he said. "Some things are part and parcel of the game. I don't want to let it affect me and then affect my future spells. I try to forget as soon as possible and quickly move forward," he added. England were dismissed for 465 on the third day in reply to India's first-innings 471. India stretched their lead by stumps to 96 at 90/2, thanks to KL Rahul's unbeaten 47, with Shubman Gill—fresh from a century in his first innings as India captain—unbeaten on six. "The game is in the balance," Bumrah said. "We have to bat well. The wicket is a little bit two-paced, so it will be an interesting game to come." Sourav Ganguly says failing to convert good starts into hundreds is his greatest cricketing regret

He is the owner of 38 fantastic centuries in international cricket, but that number is not pleasing to former India skipper Sourav Ganguly , who regrets missing many hundreds during his cricketing journey . The elegant left-hander of his times, Ganguly scored 18575 runs in Test and ODIs but regrets missing many centuries in his career in which he competed in 311 ODIs and 113 Tests. Ganguly's remorse came to fore when he was asked what advise he would give to his old self. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play this game for 1 minute and see why everyone is crazy about it Undo "I missed a lot of hundreds, I should have scored more. Too many 90s and 80s," Ganguly told PTI in an interaction. A look at his statistics showed that Ganguly got out in the 80s and 90s a number of times. Exact 30 times. Live Events If he could convert those innings into centuries he would have easily scored 50-plus centuries in his already glorious career. He loves watching his old innings, his strokeplay whenever he is alone and it further reminds him how close he was to getting more hundreds. "I see my (batting) videos when I am alone. When my wife is away because Sara lives in London. I go to Youtube, and watch and say 'arre fir 70 pe out ho gaya' (Gosh, I got out for 70 in this also), should have scored a hundred. But you can't change it. " In ODIs, Ganguly had 72 half centuries and in Test the number stands at 35. As a skipper sometimes a tough call become imperative. You have to drop a player to accommodate someone who you think is more suited for conditions or requirement. Ganguly regretted dropping Anil Kumble one of the greatest leg spinners in the world. "Anil Kumble, a few times, because he was so good," he said. For Ganguly, Australia was his favourite rival side and pacer Glenn McGrath the most feared bowler.
