VAPING has soared in popularity over the past few years, with users attracted to the brightly coloured packaging and enticing sweet flavours.
However, the UK has begun a crackdown on the smoking alternatives, banning single-use vapes earlier this month to stop children getting hooked on the devices and to protect the environment.

And the UK isn't the only country to enforce laws against vaping, with some of the most visited countries in the world dishing out fines of up to £5600 for using electronic cigarettes.

Spain
Spain is the country visited most frequently by sun-seeking Brits, but it has strict regulations when it comes to vaping.
Although vaping is legal in the sunny nation, any Brits caught vaping on beaches will be find 200 euros (£168).
And vaping indoors has an even heftier fine of up to 500 euros (£420).
United States
Vaping in the US is legal for those over 21 but laws vary from state to state.
For example, in Texas vaping is banned in all enclosed public spaces, with those breaking the rules facing a fine of £148.
In Illinois, vaping is banned in all indoor places, with rule breakers facing fines of £185.
Turkey
In Turkey, the sale of vapes and e-liquids are banned, however, you are able to bring your own vapes on holiday with you.
You must be over the age of 19 to vape, and vaping is banned in all enclosed public areas, the same as smoking.

Anyone caught vaping or smoking in public indoor space will face a fine of around £35.
Italy
In Italy, it is legal to use and purchase vapes if you are over the age of 18.
However, the use of electronic cigarettes is banned everywhere that smoking is, such as in enclosed public spaces, on public transport and in open air spaces near minors or pregnant women.
Fines for breaking these rules vary across the country, ranging from £23.50 to £234.

But while the devices don't carry the same risks as tobacco, experts have warned that vaping might not be so harmless after all.
Here are five ways vaping could damage young users bodies:
1. It could slow down brain development
Vaping nicotine can permanently affect brain development in people under the age of 25, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
It said that nicotine consumed during teenage years can harm the parts of the brain that control attention, learning, mood, and impulse control, as well as increase the risk of addiction.
2. It could lead to tooth decay
Dr Michael Heffernan, a dentist at The Wessex Dental Specialist Care, said most vapes contain dangerous chemical that can harm your teeth and lead to decay.
Puffing on the devices could also lead to mouth dryness, creating an environment in which harmful bacteria can grow.
3. It could damage heart health
However, some of the chemicals found in vapes can be damaging to the heart, with the American Heart Association (AHA) stating that vaping is "as harmful to the body's cardiovascular systems as cigarettes".
4. It could cause lung disease
Vaping from a young age could leave children with breathing difficulties, with paediatric respiratory consultant Dr Mike McKean saying he'd seen reports of people developing lung disease related to vaping.
Researchers from the US also found that young people who vape are more at risk of bronchitis, inflammation of the airways, and shortness of breath.

Mexico
In Mexico there is a total ban on the sale import and distribution of vapes.
Using vapes for personal use is often treated as a grey area, but bringing vapes into the country is classed as importing, which is illegal.
Fines for vaping in public range from £37 to £222.
Japan
In Japan, e-cigarettes containing nicotine have been banned since 2010.
Vapes without nicotine in them are legal for anyone regardless of age, as there are no laws against them.
Anyone caught vaping outside designated areas could be hit with a fine of up to £5600.
Thailand
In Thailand, there is a total ban on vapes, under strict laws which have been in place since 2014.
Anyone caught using a vape could face up to five years in prison, and a fine of four times the product's value.

Hotel review: XO Cape Arnna, Turkey
It's an understatement to say the Turkish coast's fanciest new all-inclusive resort, XO Cape Arnna, opened with a splash. In fact, the weather was so bad when I flew to Dalaman for the opening weekend that our plane got diverted to Bodrum, and much of the time I spent there was set against the backdrop of pouring rain. Its testament to the excellence of this resort, however, that this didn't put a dampener on our experience. In fact the facilities, restaurants and rooms were so good that we hardly noticed the uncharacteristically rubbish weather at all. Rooms and facilities The massive hotel is divided into two sections: one side family-friendly (The Resort), the other adults-only (The Club). With a one and a five year old in tow, I was in the kid-focused area of the hotel, and our family room had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a balcony, plus lots of clever built-in storage. As you'd expect from a brand new hotel, the rooms were exceedingly modern and swish, with huge beds, fancy toiletries and curtains that opened at the press of a button. The one fact I cannot get over is that the hotel has 37 swimming pools. THIRTY-SEVEN! Including, as we discovered when it was pouring with rain, two indoor heated pools: a shallow one for toddlers, and a full-size pool for kids and adults. There is also a very futuristic kids' club (which opens until 11pm), an outdoor playground, football pitches, watersports facilities and a full-on water park (with enormous slides for big kids and adults, and a smaller zone for littlies). Food and drink I have never seen an all-inclusive buffet more extensive than the one at XO Cape Arnna; I'm pretty sure the butter station had around 30 options alone. At breakfast there were fresh juices made to order, omelettes with any filling you could wish for, a lavish salad bar, any type of bread or pastry you could ever dream of – basically a cornucopia of options, and it was the same for every meal. If you can possibly pull yourself away from the buffet (at Mad Med), there is also an array of restaurants across the resort; tuck into Turkish cuisine at Kafi, pizza at Cucina dei Cugini, sushi at Sun Tzu or steak at adults-only The Duchess. The all-inclusive deal entitles you to one dinner at each restaurant (except the buffet at Mad Med, which is unlimited). Perhaps most exciting was the on-site patisserie, Clementine. My kids were in their element heading for a post-dinner ice cream at this enticing café, while I was equally excited to visit the chocolate counter for a few slabs from the Willy Wonka-esque selection. Hotel highlights As well as the food and pools, the spa area is worth a shout-out. The staff were super-friendly, and there was an authentic hammam, as well as Himalayan salt rooms. The massages here are not to be missed. Should you want to keep up your fitness routine, there's also a gym that would rival most high street workout spaces. Elsewhere you can book in for lessons in yoga, pole dancing, trapeze and padel. What to do nearby Okay full confession - we were only at the hotel for a long weekend, so we didn't actually make it away from the resort. However, the town of Fethiye comes very much recommended, and we would have visited had we stayed for longer. Best for XO Cape Arnna is an excellent hotel for families with kids - I'd go back! Nao Victoria: Ahoy! Spanish galleon to sail into UK port

The Nao Victoria - whose name translates as "Victory" - changed the course of history with an epic by Juan Sebastián Elcanowas, it was part of a group of five ships that set sail from Seville in Spain in 1519. But was the only one to return three years later in 1522 after successfully sailing across three oceans and along the edge of four 18 members of of a crew of 265 made it back too; many died from a poor diet and scurvy, and others had left or were taken prisoners by other ship eventually sank many years later, on a voyage in 1570. The replica of the Nao Victoria was built in 1991, and completed a similar journey to the original one between 2004 and Bathke of the Nao Victoria said his crew were "looking forward to meeting residents," and the said they would "share the incredible story of the Nao Victoria with them".Last year another ship named the Galeón Andalucía, a replica of a 17th Century ship, also visited the town.

They can also boost their time at the Bernabeu by opting for a plush tour of the ground. And tickets remain accessible for both fans and tourists, with several matches not sold out before the end of this season and tickets made available for FREE. Elsewhere, Real have also boosted revenue with numerous concerts and events. Real Madrid open their Club World Cup campaign with draw against Saudi minnows 3 Last year saw Taylor Swift play three shows to hundreds of thousands.
