I'm A Celeb cast no longer speaking after Danny and Maura's drunken kiss

Daily Mirrora day ago

Former I'm A Celebrity star GK Barry has revealed that the group WhatsApp between the cast members has 'died down' following Danny Jones and Maura Higgins' kiss scandal
Last year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! stars are no longer speaking after Danny Jones and Maura Higgins' kiss. The pair who became pals in the Australian jungle left fans stunned earlier this year when they were pictured locking lips at a lavish BRIT Awards after party.
Danny, who is married to podcaster Georgia Jones, later apologised for his actions in a grovelling social media apology. However, Maura has remained silent about the scandal. Now, their co-star GK Barry, whose real name is Grace Keeling, has revealed the 2024 cast's group WhatsApp chat has died down.

While some of the famous faces who took part are in regular contact, conversations have mellowed between the wider group which consisted of GK, Danny, Maura, Jane Moore, Coleen Rooney, Melvin Odoom, Reverend Richard Coles, Tulisa Contostavlos and Dean McCulloch.

Grace has since opened up on The Katie Price podcast about her jungle experience and the friendships she made on the show. Katie, who appeared on the show twice, asked: "Have you kept in contact, because this is another thing, when I've done Big Brother and all of that, you're like, Yeah, 'I'll stay in contact...'
"But you know the ones you'll stay in contact with, and some you just know… In the beginning, you text and then…" Grace responded: "We had a group chat. It has died down slightly as you can imagine, it's died down."
She went on to add: "But I still keep in contact with the Rev [Richard Coles] and Dean [McCullough], I still keep in contact with a little bit, but mainly the Rev and Melvin [Odoom].
"I keep in contact with Melvin quite a lot." But while Maura and Danny were snapped locking lips in the early hours of March 2, the group chat was active in April.

Speaking about the chat, Radio 1 DJ Dean said in April: "No, no one's left. Everyone's in it. Everyone's chatting away. I just love it because you'll just wake up one morning, and there'll just be a picture of Coleen on the school run with the kids, or Richard, the other day, sent us a picture of him at 10 o'clock in the morning in full fancy dress.
"He was dressed as a nun. Everyone's in it, of course, and excited to meet up again." While GK found fame on TikTok, her status has been boosted since her stint in the jungle, with her going on to land a regular panellist position on ITV's Loose Women and even a stint on BBC Radio 1.
From July 4, she will appear on the national station every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm through til 4pm. She said: "This is completely different from podcasting. I'm really excited to be presenting my own show with BBC Radio 1 this summer…
"I'm always listening to the radio when I travel, so I can't wait to interact with the listeners and get them involved in all the fun."

Love Island's most outrageous conspiracy theory yet as fans claim one star is an 'AI bot' after string of 'glitchy' moments - but have YOU noticed them?

Love Island fans have shared what might be the most outrageous conspiracy theory in the show's history. Viewers of the ITV2 dating show have claimed that one of the Islanders is an ' AI bot' and was suffering a string of 'glitchy' moments while in the iconic villa. The sexy singleton in question is none other than Yasmin Pettet, 24. The commercial banking executive, who is currently coupled up with Shea Mannings, 25, entered the villa alongside Emily Moran, 24, and Malisha Jordan, 24, earlier this week and has certainly ruffled a few feathers amongst the cast. She has gone after 25-year-old Megan Moore's man Dejon Noel Williams, 26, and also laid it on thick with 29-year-old Helena Ford's beau Harry Cooksley, 30. But her perfect posture while chatting with her co-stars and standing by the firepit has raised a few eyebrows. One fan took to TikTok to share the bizarre theory with a selection of clips and the caption: 'Guys I'm scared... I think she's AI.' Meanwhile others have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say the same thing. 'Yas is actually AI.' 'This Yas girl gotta be AI.' 'I saw someone say Yasmin is AI and bro she is literally not real.' 'Yasmin is the certified first Love island AI icon #Loveisland #loveislanduk.' 'Are we sure Yasmin isn't AI robot? #LoveIsland.' Another said on Instagram: 'AI Yasmin, we needed her.' Yasmin has been bringing the drama this season - and fans are loving it. The beauty left Dejon shocked when she asked if he'd consider a threesome with her and Toni Laites, 24. She's also not been afraid to get to know other guys - including Harry. The pair snogged during last night's episode, leaving his girl Helena fuming, as well as her man Shea. During a recent challenge Yasmin kissed two other boys during the course of the game. When she pulled Shea for a chat around the fire pit to check in, he told her: 'You made me look like a mug.' Yasmin replied: 'Yeah, that wasn't my intention, it was just a game that I felt everyone else was playing way too safe.' One wrote on Instagram: 'Yasmin speaks the truth tho and she is gorgeous.' 'I love Yasmin.' 'Ngl I actually loveee this girl!! Yasmin.' 'The Yasmin show... is exactly what she wanted and she's certainly got it!' Before entering the villa, Yasmin said: I'm looking for a guy who is fit, has a nice body and who is funny with a bit of banter.' When asked what her ick is, she revealed: 'A guy that's stingy.' Moment terrified Brits watch from their Cyprus hotel balconies as Iranian missiles rain down on Israel 250 miles across the Mediterranean

This is the surreal moment British revellers were left stunned as they spotted ballistic missiles flying over the sky while they partied in Ayia Napa amid the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict. Bizarre footage taken by British tourists from a balcony in the Cypriot party spot shows the long-range missiles soaring over the sky, leaving the holidaymakers stunned. One man is heard saying: 'That is not a firework', while a female asks 'are we going to die?' as music plays in the background. The clip has racked over two million views on TikTok. Another video shared by a Brit in Cyprus showed a barrage of projectiles illuminating the night sky as they headed for Israel. The caption read: 'You're having a nice drink in Cyprus and then you see Iranian missiles heading towards Israel.' When asked by a viewer if she was in danger, the tourist said: 'No need to worry, you just see it from afar'. In Cyprus, locals and tourists have been left stunned at the spectacle of missiles jetting over the island this week, with several reportedly flocking to rooftops and beachfront bars to watch. Speaking to Cypriot newsoutlet Ynet, a Finnish tourist said: 'It's crazy—we can see everything from here. 'People just stand on balconies and the boardwalk and watch the missiles and intercepts. What you're going through over there is terrible. We hope it ends soon.' The video comes as the Middle Eastern conflict reached a breaking point last week when Israel launched a series of blistering attacks on Iranian soil, targeting the country's nuclear infrastructure, as well as densely populated parts of cities. Iran responded by launching a wave of retaliatory missile strikes on Israel. Revellers at a Lebanese pool party this week also shared clips of Iranian missiles flying over to hit Israeli targets. A video showed partygoers in a large swimming pool dancing, clapping and cheering as long-range missiles flew off to Israel in the distance. The celebrations carried on, even as the missiles slammed into Israeli territory. This was just the latest example of revelry in Lebanon in the wake of the Israel-Iran conflict. But while much of the world watched in horror as the two Middle Eastern nations duked it out, scenes across Lebanon, which shares its southern border with Israel, were far different. Civilians react as Israeli emergency services arrive at the site of an Iranian missile attack in Ramat Gan in central Israel near Tel Aviv Missiles can be spotted in other countries due to their high altitude and the combustion trail they leave behind. Their powerful engines leave bright trails that are especially visible at night. Iranian missiles hit a major hospital in southern Israel on Thursday and struck residential buildings in Tel Aviv, wounding 240 people ad causing extensive damage. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz blamed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and said the military 'has been instructed and knows that in order to achieve all of its goals, this man absolutely should not continue to exist.' Israel, meanwhile, carried out strikes on Iran's Arak heavy water reactor, its latest attack on Iran's sprawling nuclear program. Iranian state television said there was 'no radiation danger whatsoever' and that the facility had been evacuated before the attack. British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said the 'situation in the Middle East remains perilous,' after meeting Thursday at the White House with his U.S. counterpart, Marco Rubio, and presidential envoy Steve Witkoff. 'We are determined that Iran must never have a nuclear weapon,' Lammy wrote in a post on X. 'We discussed how a deal could avoid a deepening conflict. A window now exists within the next two weeks to achieve a diplomatic solution,' he added.
