Future Nebraska quarterback Trae Taylor recruiting top tight end Ahmad Hudson
A Nebraska quarterback commit is developing a relationship and actively peer recruiting the top tight end in the class of 2027. Ahmad Hudson teamed up with future Husker Trae Taylor at the Nebraska-sponsored 7 on 7 tournament, Battle of the Boneyard.
Hudson measures in at 6 feet 7 inches, 220 pounds, and is the No. 1-ranked tight end in the 2027 class. As a sophomore, he caught 41 passes for 718 yards and six touchdowns. He's also an accomplished basketball player, averaging 21 points and 14 rebounds per game last season.
Taylor is the third overall quarterback in the 2027 class and the third overall player in his class from the state of Illinois, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Last season, he threw for 3,061 yards, 20 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, per statistics from MaxPreps. He also carried the football 41 times for 342 yards and four touchdowns.
This isn't the first time Taylor has connected with Hudson. Since committing to Nebraska, the future quarterback has been active in his recruitment of other top players in the 2027 recruiting class. It's good to see a future Husker taking active steps to load the class with as much talent as possible.

A look at Nebraska's class of 2026 after the addition of top tight end Luke Sorensen
The Nebraska Cornhuskers' class of 2026 landed its sixth commitment on Friday evening. Tight end Luke Sorensen is the latest addition to the Husker football program. Sorensen is one of two four-star prospects in the 2026 class, along with offensive lineman Hayden Ainsworth of Biloxi, MS. The four remaining prospects are all ranked as three-star commits. The Huskers lost one of their four-star recruits earlier this week when Florida prep corner CJ Bronaugh decommitted. He would switch his commitment to the Florida Gators later in the week, in a move that was described as a desire to remain closer to home. The class has only one defensive commit with in-state linebacker Jace Reynolds. Offensively, the most notable name in the class is quarterback Dayton Raiola, the younger brother of Nebraska starting quarterback Dylan Raiola. The class of 2026 still has a long way to go before it is finished. It currently ranks 71st in the nation and 18th in the Big Ten, according to the latest analysis from On3. Loaded Iowa football offensive line boasts Big Ten's top returning tackle Gennings Dunker
The 2025 season for the Iowa Hawkeyes may run through the offensive line. The veteran group of linemen is loaded with Logan Jones at center, Connor Colby next to him, and Gennings Dunker as well. The group has experience, talent, and confidence from last season, where they paved the way for more than 2,500 rushing yards and opened up lanes for Kaleb Johnson on his way to an All-American year as the 2024 Big Ten Running Back of the Year. The trio could be the heart and soul of Tim Lester's offense with quarterback transfer Mark Gronowski under center. Fortunately, for Gronowski, he will have the best returning Big Ten offensive tackle protecting him in Genning Dunker. Dunker has topped Pro Football Focus' list of the highest-graded returning offensive tackles in the Big Ten ahead of 2025. Gennings Dunker enters his fourth season with Iowa and has 25 starts to his name after starting each game he was healthy over the last two years.
