The full list of Quebec restaurants that won a Michelin Star in 2025
The Michelin Guide Quebec has been unveiled, and the province's culinary scene is buzzing.
It's official: 9 restaurants were awarded Michelin Stars by the anonymous Inspectors, with one in Québec being the first two Michelin-Starred restaurant in the province and eight eateries receiving one Michelin Star.
This year's selection also introduced three Michelin Green Stars, awarded for the restaurant's commitment to sustainable, eco-conscious dining.
In total, 17 restaurants across the province earned a Bib Gourmand distinction for delivering high-quality meals at great value.
Altogether, the full selection includes 102 recommended restaurants.
The excitement is justified: earning even a single Michelin Star can be transformative for a restaurant's business.
After its first Canadian editions in Toronto and Vancouver in 2022, the world-famous restaurant guide has finally arrived in the province of Quebec.
Since the announcement of the inaugural Michelin Guide Quebec last August, anonymous inspectors from the legendary guide have been dining across the province, quietly evaluating potential star-worthy spots.
Out of more than 17,000 restaurants reviewed globally, only 151 held three stars—none of which were in Canada.
As of May 14, 2025, Canada was home to 26 Michelin-Starred restaurants: 16 in the Greater Toronto area, 10 in Vancouver, and just one with two stars—Sushi Masaki Saito in Toronto.
This is how Quebec has changed the game.

I visited UK's best kept secret that feels like the Cotswolds without the price
The town is filled with buildings made from honey-hued limestone HIDDEN GEM I visited UK's best kept secret that feels like the Cotswolds without the price Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) EXPLORING the cobbled streets of Stamford, I feel like I've stumbled across one of the UK's best-kept secrets. Why fork out huge sums for a getaway in a Cotswolds town when you can visit this stunning Lincolnshire lookalike for considerably less? Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Stamford's quaint historic town centre Credit: Alamy 2 The 16th century country mansion Burghley House featured in Pride And Prejudice Credit: Burghley House Lincolnshire The town is filled with buildings made from honey-hued limestone, while gabled pubs dating back to the 1200s lean drunkenly against their neighbours. And what it lacks in members' clubs or gaggles of celebrities, it makes up for with its charming locals, a down-to-earth tribe more interested in making last orders at the Tobie Norris pub than bagging tables at Michelin-starred restaurants. It's at the wonderfully wonky Tobie Norris in the centre of town where I meet pint-puller Evie. The pub's name is a nod to Tobias 'Tobie' Norris, who purchased the building in the 1600s and transformed it into a bell foundry. Evie pulls out some photos of its past and tells me: 'From the 1950s it was the RAFA club. My grandparents used to come here and play war games.' Of the many original features that remain, my favourites are the misshapen flagstones and enormous fireplace surrounded by pew-like seats. Stamford's 600 listed buildings include numerous churches built by God-fearing traders, the oldest of which is the timber-roofed All Saints Church, mentioned in the Domesday book. It's so historic that Roman artefacts have been found beneath it, although Stamford's golden era was the Middle Ages, when its location on the Great North Road, connecting London with York, transformed it into one of England's most prosperous wool towns — a place where wealthy wool traders could rest and refuel. Their presence fuelled numerous other industries, many immortalised by the street names. Bugle Lane, for example, was once home to craftsmen whose brass instruments were snapped up by passing carriage drivers. Martin Lewis warns about strict passport rule that could see you board your flight - only to get sent home on arrival Glance down as you pass the inns which line the main thoroughfare of St Mary's Hill, with its arched stone bridge spanning the River Welland, and you'll notice many walls have built-in boots-scrapers, used by traders to remove the horse dung which once carpeted Stamford's streets. And outside several other buildings are raised stone platforms, designed so that ladies could step directly from carriages into residences without risking dung-related disasters. With such character, it's hardly surprising Stamford has doubled as a backdrop for many period dramas, including 2005 movie Pride And Prejudice, starring Keira Knightley. Tiny turtle skulls Featuring in that film was 16th century country mansion Burghley House. Today, it's owned by the Burghley House Preservation Trust, established by the late 6th Marquess of Exeter, whose granddaughter currently lives there. But it's still open to the public. One of its most fascinating rooms is the Elizabethan-era kitchen, with its nine-metre-high ceilings and 250 original copper pans nailed to the brickwork. Slightly less appealing is the collection of tiny turtle skulls affixed to another wall. My guide points to a turtle-shaped antique soup tureen and tells me that these were nods to the Elizabethans' love of turtle soup. Upstairs, in a room once slept in by Queen Victoria, a member of staff reveals that upcoming roof repairs are expected to cost £750,000. Lucky, its Capability Brown-designed gardens, which cover 12 acres of the estate's 15,000, are still in good nick. Make sure to refuel in Burghley House's Orangery, where the afternoon tea includes cakes garnished with flowers from the gardens. I was staying around a five-minute drive away at Candlesticks, an eight-room hotel on a quiet lane near Stamford's centre. The building dates back to the 1700s and has been a family-run operation since it opened as a hotel in the 1970s. I tell Nelio Pinto, who runs it now and whose father came from Madeira, how I've always wanted to head to the Portuguese island to hike its levadas, the ancient man-made waterways. But Nelio waxes lyrical about his love of Stamford and tells me about nearby Rutland Water, a wildlife haven covering ten square kilometres, as well as Stamford's pretty riverside parks. Perhaps Madeira can wait, after all.

Two London restaurants have been named in the 50 best in the world
Every year, the prestigious World's 50 Best holds a ceremony to crown the 50 very best restaurants on the planet. Earlier this month the extended list (from 51 to 100) was revealed, and two London restos featured. Now the top 50 has been unveiled at an awards ceremony in Turin. Now in its 23rd year, the 2025 list comprises eateries from 32 cities and 22 countries, with 10 new entries and four re-entries. In the ranking, two London restaurants were crowned as one of the world's 50 best in 2025. High-end Mexican restaurant Kol came in 49th place. The Michelin-starred spot in Marylebone is known for its impeccable presentation, and for making Mexican dishes with British ingredients. Helmed by ex-Noma and Noma Mexico chef Santiago Lastra, some of Kol's best-renowned dishes include a langoustine taco, and a whole grilled octopus with bone marrow. The other London restaurant to make the list was Ikoyi, coming in 15th place. According to the World's 50 Best, co-founders Jeremy Chan and Iré Hassan-Odukale have 'created a culinary style that defies categorisation'. The swish joint on the Strand blends West African and Asian spices with British vegetables, meat and fish to create a unique blind tasting menu. Stand out dishes include a refined take on jollof rice and the plantain dish, which has taken on different iterations over the years. When Time Out visited Ikoyi when it opened in 2017, we called it 'a thrilling anomaly even in London's diverse food scene'. Check out the full list on the World's 50 Best website here.

Dad shares eye-watering bill after taking family for breakfast at Disneyland
A dad could not believe the price he was charged for dining at Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, earlier this month A dad "almost spat out" his coffee when he was handed an eye-watering bill after going out for breakfast with his family at Disneyland. John Tolkien shared a snap of the nearly $1,000 receipt on social media after his family's breakfast at Disneyland California. The Disneyland Princess Breakfast totalled $937.65 for three children and two adults, which included a $150 tip — just over 20% of the original amount. ''Princess Breakfast' at Disneyland with my kids,' John wrote on X. 'Almost spit out my coffee.' The post has been viewed more than 16 million times on the social media platform, with thousands of users expressing their horror at the cost. Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is offered at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.. Prices start at $142, with the Disneyland website stating: "Treat your child to an unforgettable 3-course breakfast and enchanting encounters with some favorite Disney Princesses." It adds: "Dreams come true in the Trillium Room inside Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where you'll be served a sumptuous three-course breakfast. Kids can let their imaginations soar during one-of-a-kind Princess-themed activities. "Upon arrival, Disney Princesses are waiting to greet you and share in your hopes and dreams prior to taking a photo on a beautiful private patio. You may take part in storytime with Belle or learn some fierce warrior poses with Mulan." Guests enjoy a three-course breakfast, with tiered appetizer towers including lobster rolls, beignets and cornbread. Children can enjoy mains like chicken and waffles and macaroni and cheese. Adults can choose from scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, deviled eggs and braised short ribs. The restaurant serves a selection of desserts, including cake pops, sorbet and macarons. Following John's post on social media about the breakfast, thousands of people shared their views on the pricing. 'Please tell me you have 35 kids,' one person commented. Another wrote: 'That's ridiculous. So torn about going to Disney — could literally go to Italy for a month for the same amount.' A third said: "This is one of those moments I'm not tipping a single penny, and you can all call me a monster for it." A fourth commented: "The restaurant saw you coming from a mile away, huh? Poorly plated food sold at premium prices. You could have eaten at a 3 star Michelin restaurant for cheaper." Appearing to see the funny side, John replied to his original post: "I'll just take a gas station burrito & sugar-free Red Bull and hang onto the remaining… $930." The dad later added: "Service was attentive and enthusiastic, princesses were all trained pro-actresses and spent a lot of time with the kids. I enjoyed it."
