Love Island's Kaz slams Casey after his dramatic break-up with Gabby
The former Love Island star has made her thoughts on another ITV cast member known in the wake of a reality show winning couple's split when Maya Jama asked for her thoughts on Aftersun
Love Island star Kaz Crossley took a thinly veiled swipe at Casey O'Gorman during the first episode of the new series of Love Island: Aftersun.
Kaz appeared on the ITV spin-off show alongside her friend and fellow former Islander Gabby Allen, who recently ended her relationship with Casey just two months after they won Love Island: All Stars. The duo joined host Maya Jama for a chat on the Aftersun sofa, and the conversation quickly turned to Gabby's recent split.
Maya asked the Love Island All Stars winner: "Gabby, what happened with you and Casey?"
"How long have we got?" Gabby joked, before diplomatically adding: "You know what, not really that much to report. We're at very different stages in our lives."
Kaz then chimed in with a pointed comment. She said: "Casey, he's a lovely boy — but emphasis on boy. I love Gabby, but a relationship, you just need a bit more depth. We're looking for our husbands."
Fans soon took to X to comment on what they saw as a clear dig from Kaz, with one saying: "One thing about Kaz? She'll forever HATE Casey." Another laughed: "Not Kaz on Aftersun shading Casey." A third added: "Kaz clocking Casey."
Gabby, 33, and Casey, 28, started their romance while coupled up on Love Island: All Stars earlier this year and were crowned winners in February.
Since leaving the villa they have kept fans updated on their relationship after the show, but cracks began to show in recent weeks.
Just days before the split was announced, Gabby spoke about her busy schedule at the BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises. When asked how things were going with Casey, she said: "So good! We had such a laugh yesterday."
She added: "Obviously the sun is amazing and we went for drinks in the park with his mates and it was just so much fun." But she also admitted that juggling her love life and work commitments had been a challenge.
"I have two businesses so I have to like try and juggle that. Which I don't have time to bloody see anyone, let alone have a boyfriend," she said.
After growing speculation, the couple announced their break up in a joint statement, which read: "After much thoughtful consideration, Gabby and Casey have decided to go their separate ways romantically. This decision was mutual, and they both remain on good terms as friends with a shared respect for each other."
Gabby added: "Gabby is grateful for the memories they've created together and wishes Casey nothing but the best as they both move forward on their individual journeys. She's excited for what the future holds."
When the couple split a source told The Sun the pair had "a really good relationship" but realised they were focusing on different things. "They just knew it wasn't going to work anymore," the insider added.

ITV quiz show stars 'pull out' of new series just weeks before filming
The show made its debut last year becoming the newest addition to ITV's ever-growing game show line-up An ITV quiz show has suffered a significant setback as reports claim that its two celebrity team captains won't be returning for the upcoming series. First introduced last year, Password joined the ranks of ITV's expanding roster of game shows. The programme, which aired during September and October, is hosted by Stephen Mangan and comes from the creative minds behind Britain's Got Talent and QI. In Password, celebrity team captains collaborate with a member of the public to win a jackpot of £10,000. Each captain knows a secret password which their teammate must deduce from a single-word hint. Last series featured Daisy May Cooper and Alan Carr as team captains, but now it appears they won't be back for round two. The Sun has quoted a source saying: "Password did brilliantly on its first outing and it's always a shame to make changes, but Alan and Daisy are both incredibly busy and diaries just wouldn't align." The source added: "Something had to give and sadly it was their roles as team captains. But there's an exciting line-up of celebs ready to take part instead, and everyone's confident that the format works without them." Reach PLC has made attempts to contact ITV for a statement regarding the claims. This development follows the news that Daisy and her brother Charlie, who played alongside her in This Country, have withdrawn from participating in the forthcoming series of Celebrity Traitors, reports Wales Online. Just a few weeks before the cameras were set to roll, it was reported that the two actors had unexpectedly withdrawn. According to the Mirror, Daisy and Charlie made the decision as they didn't want to be separated from their families. Daisy, aged 38, welcomed her baby Benji with partner Anthony Huggins, 45, in June. She also has Pip, six, and Jack, three, from a previous relationship. Charlie, 35, is a father of two children with his wife Leighanne. In other news, Alan is part of the Celebrity Traitors line-up, joining the likes of Stephen Fry and Jonathan Ross. He's also slated to co-host the new series of Secret Genius alongside Suzie Dent, and has collaborated with Amanda Holden on another TV series, titled Amanda and Alan's Greek Job, for which release dates are yet to be confirmed. Amanda and Alan have previously won over audiences with their other TV series, Amanda and Alan's Italian Job and Amanda and Alan's Spanish Job.
