
Man charged after senior found in distress in public transit vehicle
A man is facing charges after an 81-year-old man was found in distress inside a public transit service vehicle.
East Hants District RCMP say the 81-year-old was picked up outside a residence by a public transit vehicle on June 11 at 3:30 p.m. That evening, around 10:40 p.m., police received a call reporting the man missing.
Just before 11 p.m., the senior was found alone inside the vehicle and was in medical distress. Paramedics took him to the hospital.
A 64-year-old man from Stanley was charged on Thursday with criminal negligence causing bodily harm and failure to provide the necessities of life.

Woman charged with breaking into Tecumseh home after call from concerned citizen

Officers were dispatched to a suspected break and enter on Centennial Drive at 5:40 p.m. on Friday. When an officer arrived on scene, they located a person matching the description, the individual attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody. As a result of the investigation, the Windsor woman was arrested and charged with the following offences: Break and Enter - Place, with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence Resist Peace Officer Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on July 23. Police search for suspect believed to be involved in string of Halifax break-ins
Halifax police are looking for a suspect in a string of break-ins. (Source: Halifax Regional Police) Police in Halifax are searching for a man they believe is involved in a string on break and enters. According to police, several residences in the 2500 block of Summer Street were broken into and had items stolen between June 13 and 16. Police describe the suspect as a man wearing eyeglasses, a dark jacket, a white hoodie, dark pants, black and white shoes and a white baseball cap or bucket-style hat. The suspect is believed to be the same suspect involved in another string of break-ins in the 200 block of Waterfront Drive in Bedford between June 6 and 8. Suspect Halifax police are looking for a suspect in a string of break-ins. Man pulled from water near Sunnyside Beach suffers critical injuries

The incident, police said, happened at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to police, the man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His current condition is not known.
