The advisory includes the Okanagan, South Thompson, Nicola, Shuswap, Similkameen, Boundary and Fraser Canyon regions. 'An upper disturbance will settle over southern British Columbia where widespread showers and strong thunderstorms are expected to produce heavy precipitation this afternoon and tonight,' Environment Canada warned.
