Two US surveillance aircraft have been spotted conducting intelligence operations off the Libyan coast.
Tracking data published by ItaMilRadar, a military flight monitoring platform, showed a US Navy Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton operating from the Sigonella Air Base in Sicily. The high-endurance drone patrolled airspace near Libya's western border and the capital Tripoli.
A second aircraft, a Bombardier Challenger 650 Artemis, took off from Constanța, Romania, and performed multiple reconnaissance loops between Tripoli and Misrata.
The jet is equipped for advanced signals intelligence and is capable of intercepting and analyzing electronic transmissions. News Tagged: ItaMilRadar

Among the immigrants were 19 children, 557 men, and 32 women, who were returned to detention centers in Tripoli, according to IOM, which added that between January 1 and June 14 of this year, 249 immigrants died in the Mediterranean, while 226 others went missing. Libyan forces intercept 93 migrants

Libyan forces intercepted 93 migrants from Egypt and Sudan early Sunday as they attempted to cross the Mediterranean towards Europe. The operation, carried out by a frogman unit from Haftar's forces at the Tobruk Naval Base in coordination with the Coast Guard, took place 48 kilometers northwest of the city. According to the Tobruk Medical Centre, the interception was deemed 'successful', and the migrants were transferred to the naval base and handed over to the relevant authorities. Several Sudanese migrants reportedly sustained injuries due to harsh travel conditions and received urgent medical care at the facility. Medical teams conducted health checks in coordination with the Anti-Illegal Immigration Department in Tobruk. Authorities stated the operation was part of wider efforts to combat illegal migration and safeguard lives at sea. Tags: illegal immigrants
