‘Best savings of my life' says shopper who bagged stylish lamps for £9 instead of £98
A SHOPPER has shared how she bagged stylish lamps for £9 down from £98, saying it was "the best saving of my life".
Bargain hunter Debbie Smith shared the amazing Dunelm finds in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, leaving users blown away by the "amazing" deal.

She bagged the Ardelia Table Lamp for just £4.50, down from £45, and the Elements Jaula Easy Fit Pendant Shade for £4.90, down from £49, from the popular homeware store.
Posting photos of the items to the Facebook group, she wrote: "Quite literally the best saving of my life at Dunelm today. £98 reduced to £9 for both... BUZZING."
Responding to the post, one Dunelm fan said: "Amazing saving well done!", while another praised the retailer for having "loads of bargains".
The Ardelia Glass Table Lamp is currently available on the Dunelm website for £45, in both champagne and emerald green.
The retailer describes it as "your home's next must-have", with a "gorgeous textured shade and attractive base".
Meanwhile, the Elements Jaula Easy Fit Pendant Shade is also available on the Dunelm website, on sale for £28, down from £35.
Other shoppers replied to the Facebook post with their own bargain finds. One shared an artificial plant they had picked up for £7.50 instead of £30.
Another customer found a £119 dressing table reduced to just £11.90, saying they were " so pleased" with the bargain.
A third posted: "I got some bedside units for £5 each instead of £119 each in my local one.
"Although they tried not to sell them to me at that price."

The Elements Hard Shell Suitcase is scanning for £21, down from £30.

Neighbours say our swish new porch ‘makes home look like a shopping centre' – but they're just jealous of our mansion
A FAMILY says their neighbours are 'jealous' following complaints that their new porch looks more like a 'giant shopping complex' than a home. Proud homeowner Aysha Khanom has hit back at her Oldham neighbours who have gone to the council about her 'monstrosity' extension, which was built without planning permission. 3 3 Ms Kanhom, who shares the property with the rest of her family, was made to pay £2,000 after a retrospective planning request for the swish new porch was rejected. Angry neighbours have claimed that this new addition to the semi-detached property, which features two 2.4 metre high columns and a tiled roof, was 'more in keeping with the Roman pillars of the Trafford centre'. Residents also protested to the council that it 'sticks out like a sore thumb', dubbing the porch an ' eyesore.' Oldham Council received 23 formal objections. Ms Kanhom's son, Mohammed, 21, is now claiming that these neighbours are simply 'jealous' of their large home. He explained the family-of-nine moved from a "bad area" and saved up to build "the house of dreams". Mohammed told the MailOnline: 'Some people are just jealous because our home makes theirs look small. "Personally, I wouldn't even care if my neighbour painted his house yellow." 'There's nine of us living here, so we need a big home for our family.' However, local resident Ian Rees, 69, said the porch "jutted out a long way", adding that the builders also "left a lot of rubbish piled up" on the grass opposite. I came home to find my nightmare neighbour knocking down my DOOR – he claimed it was his right to do it Mohammed went on to reveal the family plans to build another "even bigger" property on some nearby land and turn it into an AirBnB, which may cause further friction with their neighbours due to the potential parking issues and more. The family already own another home, restaurant and car hire firm in Dubai. The Chadderton Hall Road house has already had applications for a dormer, a two-storey side and rear extension and a children's play house approved. One neighbour said the porch is "the final straw", with the property described as already "overdeveloped". Oldham Council initially drew the line at the porch proposals in December 2022. According to a report, it was an 'overly dominant and incongruous addition to the existing property'. It read: 'It would cause a detrimental impact upon the character and appearance of the street scene, largely owing to its prominent and unduly conspicuous appearance.' Ms Khanom appeal and submitted revised plans in March 2023 but the plans were again refused. After a further appeal was dismissed by the Planning Inspectorate, the homeowner defied an enforcement notice to either remove the porch or reduce its size. This failure to comply saw the council take her to Tameside Magistrates' Court last month. Here, she admitted to breaching the enforcement notice and was ordered to pay £1,050 costs, a £500 fine and £200 victim surcharge. Alternative plans for the porch have since been approved by the council, which sees the removal of the two large pillars - which have been replaced with wooden supports. But not all neighbours were upset by the porch, with one woman - who did not wish to be named - saying the developments "never bothered me" and accused some residents of worrying "about some things too much". The Sun has reached out to the council for comment.

Shaun Wright-Phillips faces threat of financial ruin after HMRC bankruptcy order
Shaun Wright-Phillips has been hit with a bankruptcy petition by HM Revenue & Customs. The former Manchester City, Chelsea and England winger is facing the threat of financial ruin after HMRC lodged a petition at the High Court on Friday. Since retiring in 2019, Wright-Phillips has worked for the likes of the BBC, ITV, Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Amazon and talkSPORT. A representative for Wright-Phillips told Telegraph Sport: 'Shaun is not aware of this and matters are already with his accountant who is fully versed in Shaun's affairs. He is currently out of the country and the matter will be strenuously contested on his return.' In 2023, he and Wright became the first father and son to appear together as pundits on Match of the Day. In July 2020, Wright-Phillips set up Maison d'IF, a luxury Mayfair handbag retailer which had its own accounts on Instagram and X. It was wound up following a court order in August 2023, shortly after it posted annual accounts showing it had incurred net liabilities of more than £200,000 for the year ending June 30 2022. HMRC's bankruptcy petition was lodged in the former footballer's full name of Shaun Cameron Wright-Phillips and Companies House records show he has been a director of several other firms under that moniker. They include 'public relations and communications' company SWP29 LTD, which was formed in January 2023 and the first year's accounts for which show it owed £103,894 to creditors but was also itself owed £102,268. Other companies were short-lived ventures, including one wound up following a court order back in 2013. Wright-Phillips has been a club ambassador for City since 2020 and they published an article on Saturday showing him in Atlanta ahead of their 6-0 Club World Cup win over Al Ain at the city's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The 43-year-old was shown on a 'cultural walking tour' with former City team-mate and fellow club ambassador Joleon Lescott, as part of a 'Young Leaders Summit', that included a visit to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. City said on their website: 'The walking tour inspired conversations and a moment of reflection on Black leadership, identity, and Atlanta's proud history of social justice.' Wright-Phillips is the latest former footballer or sporting star to face financial ruin. Earlier this month, his former City team-mate Trevor Sinclair was declared bankrupt over a tax debt totalling £36,000. The 52-year-old was accused by a judge of 'burying his head in the sand' over the debt, which related to his punditry work in the 2021-22 tax year. Sinclair, currently a coach for the Jamaica national team, was declared bankrupt after he did not turn up at court.
