As part of its ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and advancing Kuwait's professional caliber, Burgan Bank recently celebrated 15 of its most aspiring employees for completing the Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies' (KIBS) certification programs. The graduation ceremony, held at the Regency Hotel, was attended by Burgan Bank and KIBS management, confirming their commitment to their longstanding partnership, which continues to prepare the best national talents for competing and leading in the Kuwaiti banking sector – in line with the New Kuwait Vision 2035 and the highest standards of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) in the global banking industry.

The 15 graduates completed different specialized certification programs, depending on their fields of experience and chosen professional tracks, including Credit Management, Advanced Credit Management, Risk Management, Assistant Bank Branch Management, and Bank Wealth Management.

The tour also highlighted the Bank's available career opportunities, which contributed to motivating the students to join the banking sector, particularly in the technology and information systems this field visit, Burgan Bank reaffirmed its steadfast support for the 'Let's Be Aware' (Diraya) banking awareness campaign by equipping 'Academy X' students with financial education to help them understand their banking rights and avoid fraudulent activities. Mashreq, a leading financial institution in the MENA region, has structured the first Sustainability-Linked Financing (SLF) for Galadari Brothers, a UAE-based leading conglomerate, marking a significant step in advancing their sustainability journey. As one of the UAE's most diversified and longstanding business groups – with operations spanning media, heavy equipment, food and beverage, motors, engineering, projects, facility management, sports, travel and hospitality, real estate, and other ventures – Galadari Brothers is accelerating its commitment to a robust sustainability strategy, further engaging stakeholders through clear KPIs and ambitious under Mashreq's bilateral lending relationship with the group, this transaction represents one of the largest bilateral SLF deals for a local UAE conglomerate till date. The SLF introduces performance-based pricing linked to three core Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) centered around resource efficiency, circular economy and internal capacity building and institutional alignment with ESG principles.
