Top Malaysian and Indonesian acts are all set for a starry night at the 'Latihan Pestapora Malaysia' in Sunway Lagoon on July 26

Get ready for a sensational music extravaganza when 24 artistes are ready to rock the stage when Indonesian top music/culture festival 'Pestapura' makes its way to Malaysia for the first time.
Marking its first appearance outside Indonesia, the warm-up show has already generated big buzz among Malaysian music fans, and aptly named 'Latihan Pestapora Malaysia' will steal the bright lights at the Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon, on July 26.
And the organisers of the show -- Hitman Solutions, top Malaysian concert organiser along with Indonesia's Boss Creator -- said 'Latihan Pestapora Malaysia' is expected to mirror the energy and creativity that has defined the main festival since its inception.
During a special event attended by Indonesian and Malaysian music stars, at Campus Ampang in Kuala Lumpur, the organisers officially revealed the Phase 1 lineup that will be performing at "Latihan Pestapora Malaysia" on July 26.
Confirmed musicians to perform in the Malaysian show includes – .Feast, Hindia, Barasuara x Efek Rumah Kaca, Feel Koplo, Kunto Aji, and Pamungkas while some of Malaysia's finest - Bittersweet, Bunkface, DOLLA, SonaOne, Salammusik - will also be performing.
Concertgoers can also expect to hear solid hits from local rappers such as Sonaone, Yonnyboii, Killa Driz, Lil J, and Elva Suyan, while DJ Cza will also perform for the fans during the festival.
Rohit Rampal, the CEO of Hitman Group, said the festival promises a diverse blend of genres—from pop, rock, alternative, and hip-hop to indie—curated for music lovers craving a rich Nusantara experience.
'Every year, thousands of Malaysian fans travel to Jakarta for the Pestapora experience. Seeing how the festival unites people together through the power of music, we want our very own Malaysians to feel and live out the same magic here,' said Rohit
'With over 35% tickets sold even before the lineup reveal, it's abundantly evident that many Malaysians are already familiar with and trust the 'Pestapora' brand to deliver a festival that blends music, art, community, and culture into one unforgettable experience.
" 'Latihan Pestapora' also serves as a preview for Malaysians who can't fly to Jakarta for the main festival and for the fans who want to get ready for the main event by joining this warm-up celebration,' added Rohit.
Hitman Solutions as the organiser's of the event also announced their target for the event is for now 10,000 fans. However, the numbers will be increased if there are overwhelming demand for tickets.
Boss Creator's CEO Kiki Ucup, also Festival Director of 'Pestapora' said it will indeed be one happening festivals and one the local fans should not miss.
"Pestapora is a festival that is awaited by many, many fans in Indonesia. We aim to create that kind of magic in Malaysia too," said Kiki during the press meet at the event. "I can only promise many of our top acts will be coming to Malaysia to rock the stage."
One Day, Two Nations, Endless Musical Stories
Latihan Pestapora Malaysia is more than just a concert, it is a platform for cultural exchange within the Nusantara region, all celebrated through the magic of music.
Adding to the excitement, this represents an opportunity to give fans a rare preview of the full Pestapora experience coming to Jakarta this September.
"It is also a night that not only music will be celebrated. It will also a day where Malaysian-Indonesian culture will be displayed for fans and visitors. A memorable days for all art and music lovers. Thai is our ultimate aim," said Rohit.
"We hope the festival will be embraced with excitement. Our main aim is simply to introduce a fresh experience into the local entertainment and music scene while creating lasting memories for the fans. We also hope that all the participating artistes will fully enjoy this opportunity to share their music with new audiences.'

Malaysian all-girls group and the hugely popular DOLLA said they are extremely excited of being invited for the festival.
"This is an amazing show and I do believe fans will get the best kind of music experience at the festival. Some of the top performers from both countries will be here and we gonna rock it for the fans." said the trio of Sabronzo, Angel and Tabby.
Over the years, the trio has captivated fans, affectionately known as iDollas, with tracks such as Dolla Make You Wanna, Raya Raya Raya, Classic and more.
What is more exciting is that they will launch their new single 'Muah!' this Friday (May 9, 2025) and fans can surely catch them performing their top hits come July 26.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Bernama) -- Berita Harian (BH) entertainment desk assistant editor Raja Nurfatimah Mawar Mohamed, who died at her home in Sungai Long, Kajang, at about 2 pm today, had earlier complained of fatigue to her close friend, Tengku Datuk Khalidah Tengku Bidin. Tengku Khalidah, who is also the Malaysian Entertainment Journalists' and Writers' Association (WHAM) president, said her friend, who also served as the association's treasurer, had mentioned the matter during a phone call yesterday. She said many in the Malaysian arts scene and among local celebrities were shocked by the news of the 49-year-old's passing, as she had not shown any prior signs of illness. 'We received news of her passing at about 3 pm today. She was said to have complained of body aches and breathing difficulties to her helper earlier in the day. 'The helper who comes every day to clean the house happened to be with her at the time. As far as I know, she was in good health,' she said when contacted by Bernama here today. Tengku Khalidah said she last met her late friend two days ago at the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) Supreme Council Dinner in Wangsa Maju here. Describing her personality, Tengku Khalidah said Raja Nurfatimah Mawar was always cheerful, kind-hearted and well liked by many. 'She was not only well liked by fellow journalists but also dearly loved by celebrities. Although she was Assistant Editor of the Entertainment Desk at Berita Harian, she often went to the ground due to her close ties with local artistes,' she said. Tengku Khalidah added that both of them had planned to perform the haj together next year and she was devastated that it would no longer be possible.

KUALA LUMPUR: Filmmaker and producer Datuk Yusof Haslam has described the death of the late Berita Harian assistant entertainment editor Raja Nurfatimah Mawar Mohamed as the loss of a dear friend who supported his family throughout their careers. Raja Nurfatimah passed away today. "Raja Nurfatimah and I go back a long way," he said when contacted. "She covered my work when I was still an actor, and she was there when I became a filmmaker with the Sembilu series too." Yusof added that Raja Nurfatimah was a steadfast supporter of his sons. "When my sons Syamsul and Syafiq rose in the industry, she was the first entertainment journalist to give them support. "My family and I owe her so much, and we'll all miss her dearly," he told NST. Yusof also fondly recalled Raja Nurfatimah's annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri visits. "She would always visit me during Hari Raya Aidilfitri, and we would engage in hearty conversations about Malaysian entertainment." Describing her professional qualities, Yusof said, "She was very hardworking, dedicated, knowledgeable, but most of all, humble and friendly. Almost everyone in showbiz knew her and had good things to say about her." Yusof shared his regret, saying, "I had plans to visit Raja Nurfatimah in July, but alas, this was not to be." "On behalf of my family, I convey my heartfelt condolences to Raja Nurfatimah's loved ones," Yusof said. "Malaysia has lost a great entertainment journalist, and the entertainment world has lost a good friend. We will always remember her love and support for Malaysian entertainment." Several artistes also paid tribute to Raja Nurfatimah on Facebook and Instagram, including Fauziah Ahmad Daud, Datuk Hattan, and Datuk Fauziah Nawi. In an Instagram post, Fauziah Ahmad Daud wrote: "Rest in peace, Raja Nurfatimah. Thank you so much for being a great friend to all of us." Hattan shared on Facebook: "May she be placed among the righteous. We've lost a great friend." Fauziah Nawi also expressed her condolences on Facebook: "May her soul rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to her family." Raja Nurfatimah, 49, passed away at her home in Sungai Long, Kuala Lumpur, around 2 pm today. Her death, reportedly due to breathing difficulties and chest pain, has shocked both the journalistic fraternity and the entertainment industry. She was an outstanding, award-winning journalist throughout her three-decade-long career. Raja Nurfatimah's remains have been sent to Kajang Hospital for a post-mortem. She will be laid to rest in her hometown of Kuala Terengganu later.
