Shraddha Kapoor has exited Ekta Kapoor's project over a fee dispute. Ekta found Shraddha's Rs 17 crore demand too high.
Here's some spicy Bollywood gossip straight from the grapevine. After the smashing success of Stree 2, everyone's been buzzing about what Shraddha Kapoor is cooking up next. Rumour mill had her cozying up with Ekta Kapoor's new project, with whispers saying she was asking for a cool Rs 17 crore plus a slice of the profits. However, things have taken a dramatic twist now.
According to a report by PeepingMoon, Shraddha Kapoor has now hit the pause button and stepped away from Ekta's upcoming flick due to a fee dispute. Sources say that Ekta felt Shraddha's price tag was too steep, especially for a women-centric film. The popular producer feared it might blow up the entire budget.
Producers are apparently on the hunt for a new leading lady. In fact, the report suggests that the makers are already in talks with a leading actress to replace Shraddha.
This upcoming film will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame. The details of this 'high-concept thriller" are under wraps as of now.
On the film front, Shraddha's calendar isn't exactly packed at the moment. The only confirmed gig she's got is Stree 3, which is all set to hit the big screens on August 13, 2027. She last teamed up with Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee in Stree 2, which totally rocked the box office.
Other than Stree 3, there's buzz that Shraddha might be collaborating with producers Dinesh Vijan, Bhushan Kumar, and Boney Kapoor. However, nothing's locked in yet.
In her 15-year run in Bollywood, Shraddha's dipped her toes into pretty much every genre—from the high-octane action of Saaho, the dance floors of Street Dancer 3D, the fun chaos of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, to the heartwarming vibes of Chhichhore. She's also tackled intense roles in films like Haseena Parkar and Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

India's biggest flop film, even Amitabh h Bachchan failed to save it, film earned just Rs...., lead actors were....

Sometimes when a movie is released, and if it is helmed by a known director, has a massive budget, and features a star-studded cast, it is expected to be a superhit. However, the ingredients that are said to be the right formula for success don't always work. Similarly, when director Shaad Ali decided to make Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, fans thought the same. However, things turned out to be completely different. After the successful run of Saathiya and Bunty Aur Babli, director Shaad Ali decided to make another film, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The movie was produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films and was one of the most anticipated films. Interestingly, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom had a talented star cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Bobby Deol, and Lara Dutta, with Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance. The soundtrack was among the top-selling albums of 2007, yet Jhoom Barabar Jhoom underperformed at the box office and turned out to be one of the year's biggest disappointments. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom Budget and Box Office Collection According to media reports, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom was made for Rs 25 crore. However, the storyline fell short for the audience, and it only earned Rs 27 crore net in India and Rs 38 crore worldwide. After Jhoom Barabar Jhoom flopped, Shaad Ali took a seven-year hiatus from filmmaking and made his directorial comeback with Kill Dil. Starring Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar, Parineeti Chopra, and Govinda, the film also failed to impress at the box office. Despite having music composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics written by Gulzar, the film could not resonate with the audience. Some of the hit tracks from the film are Bol Na Halke Halke, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, and more.
