Air India flight from Birmingham forced to divert over 'bomb threat on board'
A Delhi-bound Air India flight - the same carrier that suffered a devastating fatal crash earlier this month - was forced to land in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in response to a bomb threat An Air India flight has been forced to divert over a bomb threat on board. The plane was due to fly to Delhi after leaving Birmingham Airport on Saturday, but was forced to divert mid-flight to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Officials took immediate action to make sure the passengers and crew on board were safe, with Air India saying the plane landed safely in Riyadh, where all necessary security checks were performed, according to the Times of India. A spokesperson for the airline said: "Flight AI114 from Birmingham to Delhi on June 21 received a bomb threat and was consequently diverted to Riyadh, where where it landed safely and completed security checks." It follows an Air India plane disaster when a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed after taking off from Ahmedabad airport on June 12. A staggering 52 British nationals died when the London-bound Boeing Dreamliner plane smashed into the city of Ahmedabad earlier in June, making it the most deadly aviation disaster involving people from the UK since 9/11. The crash, which unfolded less than a minute after take-off, is so far believed to have claimed 270 lives, including 30 people on the ground. But as they try and come to terms with their loss, many grieving families have still not been able to see the bodies of their loved ones. Back in the UK, some have called on the Government to do more. After questions mounted over why British consular staff had not been dispatched to local hospitals, Foreign Office minister Hamish Falconer told the Commons that the Foreign Office had set up its reception centre at a hotel close to the airport "because we thought that would be the best place to receive British nationals", rather than the hospital itself "where, tragically, there are no living British nationals". The pilot of the doomed flight has been praised for 'saving dozens of lives' with his final decision seconds before his plane crashed. But India Air pilot Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, who died in the impact, has now been described as a 'hero' for diverting his plane into a patch of grassland and avoiding a direct hit on the doctors' hostel, saving countless lives. He sent a mayday message to air control less than a minute after the plane took off from Ahmedabad airport, with the aircraft reaching a height of 650ft before beginning a rapid descent. As well as being a pilot, the 55-year-old from Mumbai was also the primary carer for his elderly father, Pushkaraj, who was once an officer with India's Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Brit, 22, arrested at Disneyland Paris after 'trying to marry Ukrainian girl, 9'
Disneyland Paris cast members alerted the police after the 22-year-old man was seen with a child, dressed in four-inch heels taped to her feet and accompanied by her Ukranian mother A British man has been arrested at Disneyland Paris for trying to marry a nine-year-old girl in a bizarre private event. Disney cast members alerted the police after the 22-year-old man was seen with a child, dressed in four-inch heels taped to her feet and accompanied by her Ukranian mother, at private function held at 5am on Saturday, before the French theme park was open to the public. The ceremony was due to take place at dawn in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at the end of Main Street, USA and had been hired out of for a wedding, with organisers failing to tell Disney what was planned. Disneyland Paris was reportedly deceived about the nature of the event, with the organiser assuming the "identity of a Latvian national" and using "false documents to secure the contract for privatising the park", BFM TV in France reports. It is reported that guests' were recruited online via adverts seeking 200 adults and 100 children aged between five and 15 to play the guests at a 'rehearsal' for a wedding in Disneyland. Video obtained by BFM showed around 100 seated guests awaiting the ceremony as a female violin trio played at dawn before a stage strewn with flowers. The event reportedly cost around £110,000. "Four people were arrested and questioned: the groom, who was believed to be the organiser of the event and is presumed to be British, aged 22; the mother of the child, a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman; and two Latvian nationals aged 55 and 24," a statement from the French prosecutor's office in the nearby town of Meaux said. The 55-year-old Latvian man claimed he was recruited to play the role of the bride's father for 12,000 euros but discovered last minute she was nine years old, local news reports. Disneyland Paris told French newspaper Le Parisien the event was immediately shut down by its team and that guests were stopped from entering the premises. Circumstances around the wedding remain unclear, as to whether it was a stunt or a real ceremony. A medical examination of the young girl found she had not suffered any violence, the prosecutor's office said. A police source said the groom has claimed to be the director of a production company and they were shooting a video. An updated statement from the prosecutors office said: "So it wasn't a wedding, but a staged wedding filmed with around a hundred extras. They privatised Disneyland Paris, pretending it was a real wedding." Two suspects have been charged with 'fraud and breach of trust' against Disneyland Paris. One wedding guest told the Le Parisien: "We all thought we were going to attend a wedding... Everyone was stunned, no one expected it. Disneyland did things very well. "They canceled everything as soon as they realised the bride was a child. We were shocked to see that." Another extra, named Yeleen, who attended the ceremony with her daughter, said: "I saw a little girl dressed in white. I saw her hair prepared with curls and a lady picking her up in her arms. "At that moment, I was shocked. I realised when I saw the child. It was atrocious."

Helen Flanagan wows at concert in flattering Karen Millen dress with £50 saving
Helen Flanagan stuns in a pearl-detailed Karen Millen dress at Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter concert, and the figure-flattering midi currently has £50 off Helen Flanagan shared a few snaps of her look at Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour and it's safe to say she brought the glam in stunning Karen Millen midi dress. And the best part? The exact dress is currently £50 off in the sale. Instead of opting for the double denim, fringing and cowboy boots that were spotted a lot throughout the tour, Helen went for timeless elegance and sparkle, layering over a sheer, organza shirt on top of the dress. The exact dress is the Pearl And Diamante Embellished Tailored Pencil Dress from Karen Millen, currently reduced from £269 to £215.20. Although still on the pricey side, the detail and quality suggests it's well worth the price. Featuring a stylish square neckline and gorgeous pearl detailing on the bodice, this midi is the perfect combination of chic and glitz. It's no wonder Helen's fans were loving the look, with one commenting on her Instagram post "Great dress - love the sparkles, suits you". This versatile midi is flattering in all the right places, and easy to dress up or down, even with the sparkles. Whether you're heading to concerts, date nights or any event that calls for a little 'wow' moment, this classic LBD fits the bill. And with £50 off, how could you resist? And Helen isn't the only celeb who's a big fan of Karen Millen dresses. Just the other week, Amanda Holden was sporting the Compact Stretch Stab Stitch Square Neck Tailored Pencil Maxi Dress, which she labelled as 'beautiful quality' and 'very flattering' while 'clinging in all the right places'. Whether you're sitting courtside at Wimbledon, going for brunch with your friends or even heading on your hen do, this white dress will really be the star of the show. While Ranvir Singh recently wore the Red Short Sleeve Gathered Waist Underbust Midi Dress from Lipsy, priced at £49. Keeping the look simple, Ranvir teamed this midi with a pair of simple nude court heels and minimalist jewellery. It's clear to see summer dresses are taking over at the moment, and our favourite British actresses and presenters are setting the trend.
