Oregon Football set to host several 5-Star recruits on official visits this weekend
The summer stretch of recruiting has arrived in the world of college football, and the Oregon Ducks are kicking things off with a massive weekend of official visits in Eugene over the weekend.
It has been a relatively slow stretch for Dan Lanning in the 2026 recruiting cycle, with Oregon currently holding the No. 28 class in the nation. Still, with the number of high-profile players visiting Eugene over the next two months, things could pick up in a hurry. Tight end Kendre Harrison is the only 5-star player that the Ducks have committed at the moment, but over a dozen 5-star players will be in Eugene this summer checking out Oregon.

Pacers' Haliburton hurt early in game seven against Thunder
Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers sustains an injury during the first quarter against the Oklahoma City Thunder in game seven of the NBA Finals (Justin Ford) Indiana's star Tyrese Haliburton limped out of game seven of the NBA Finals in the first quarter in a devastating blow to the Pacers' hopes of toppling the Oklahoma City Thunder to claim the title. Haliburton was already nursing a right calf strain and was a near game-time decision for game six -- when the Pacers routed the Thunder in Indianapolis to force the decisive game seven. Advertisement It was tied at 16-16 with five minutes left in the fist period when Haliburton caught a pass from Obi Toppin and appeared to slip as he tried to drive past Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Haliburton sprawled forward, beating the court with one hand in apparent pain. His teammates quickly surrounded him before he was helped from the floor and departed for the locker room -- hopping on one leg and supported by Pacers staff. The Pacers later confirmed Haliburton would play no further part in the game after suffering a "right lower leg injury", ESPN reported. Haliburton had made three three-pointers on the way to nine points before the injury. Advertisement Without their talisman the Pacers -- who had led by as many as dug in to keep it close, the Thunder leading 25-22 at the end of the first quarter. "It's a heartbreak, man," Myles Turner told broadcaster NBC as the second quarter got underway. "It's unfortunate, you know, biggest game of the year that injury didn't, like, hold up. "But, you know, we've got his back and that's what it's all about." bb/rcw

The two-time all-star pounded the court in pain and was attended to by Pacers staff at the next dead ball.

Tommy Fleetwood gets 100% real about being on verge of first PGA Tour win
The post Tommy Fleetwood gets 100% real about being on verge of first PGA Tour win appeared first on ClutchPoints. Tommy Fleetwood got 100% honest about being on the verge of winning his first tournament on the PGA Tour. The No. 17 player in the world has had a productive career, winning seven European Tour titles and finishing in the top five of all four majors. In addition, Fleetwood won a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics representing Great Britain. But the 34-year-old is now at -16 and up three strokes at the Travelers Championship and trying to complete a career-first. Advertisement And Fleetwood is clearly excited, especially after shooting a 63 on the third day. In an interview with Golfweek's David Dusek, the English golfer gave a statement on reaching this career milestone. 'I would love to win on the PGA Tour. I think it's like an element of your career that everybody wants. I've given myself like a back-end chance a couple of times this year, but I've not been in contention. So this is like my first real chance, so I'm really excited about that and looking forward to it.' Fleetwood has several elite challengers behind him. Keegan Bradley and Russell Henley both sit at -13 with Henley shooting a 61 in Cromwell, Connecticut. Jason Day is the next closest contender at -11, with everyone else being -8 or farther back. Fleetwood, however, has to like his chances, and it's long overdue considering all that he's accomplished in his career. There is some light rain that's projected for Sunday, and winds are expected to be at around 11 mph. It won't necessarily be easy for Fleetwood to keep his three-shot lead, especially on a course that many players are starting to find their rhythm on. However, the veteran is the favorite to win the Travelers Championship and has done the work to put himself in this position. Fleetwood is also finding his best form when he's needing it the most in this tournament. It's time to close the deal now.
